I am 48 years old both of my ovaries were removed recently what health problems shall I have in future.

M. sc Psychology, BHMS
Homeopath, Hyderabad
Here you did not mention the reason for what, you have undergone the surgery, but after removing the ovaries, obviously, that shows impact on imbalance of the natural hormones secreted by other organs, but here of course, you r anyway nearing the usual menopausal age], but even after you get natural menopause also, because of lack of secretions from that particular female organs, that impact will show on the other organs which secrete other hormones which balance mutually. The symptoms, you can expect are weight gain, mood swings, hair thinning, lack of appetite, drowsiness, weakness, jt pains, etc. But you can take precautionary measures in food intake, following exercises, like walking, yoga, engaging yourself in some work, meditation, practicing pranayama regularly, to avoid stress, to get peace of mind, takin plenty of water irrespective of your thirst, all will help to avoid the risks in future to max extent.

For increasing weight best natural way is start doing surya namskar in the morning. No drink before meals you must make a habit of not consuming water 30 minutes before the time of your meal. You should take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Include protein rich food in your diet. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight. Take small and frequent meals.

Best Summer Hair Care Regimen for Lifeless Hair

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy, MBBS
Dermatologist, Gurgaon
Best Summer Hair Care Regimen for Lifeless Hair

Summers can be the worst time of the year for your hair. Often we find people complaining about their hair getting sticky, tangled and unmanageable when the temperature rises. This can be due to the fact that the hair loses its moisture in the heat and often gets dry and lifeless. With the onset of summers, your hair care routine should also change according to the climate so that it is healthy and moisturized. Here are a few tips which you can follow in the summers to keep your hair healthy-

1. Cover your head - Cover your head with a hat or a scarf and protect it from direct sunlight. You can also wrap your head with a scarf before putting on the hat which will also protect your hair from getting tangled with the course material. Wearing a hat will keep your hair from getting dry and lifeless. Heat can damage your hair and give you split ends hence it is necessary to employ some level of protection.

2. Wash Often - Make sure your hair is getting the moisture it needs. Drink plenty of water as apart from keeping your body hydrated, your hair will also benefit from it. Shampooing every day can make your hair dry and frizzy so make sure that you oil and condition it regularly. Rinse your hair properly after a swim because the chlorine in the pool water can damage your hair. Clean your scalp while washing so that it stays healthy.

3. Opt for deep Conditioning - With the temperature rising, you must deep condition your hair at least once a month or once in two weeks depending on your hair type. Deep conditioning helps keep the moisture locked, strengthens your hair and prevents breakage and hair fall. Deep conditioning requires a plastic wrap which helps the conditioner to penetrate.

4. Wear Protective Styles - You can style your hair in a way which will keep it away from your face and neck and at the same time make you look presentable. You can try braids, topknots, buns, high ponytails, etc. These hairdos also help prevent unwanted breakage and tangling.

Hi lybrate-user! I can understand the pain when one loses someone close, one feels the pain, the memories, make them cry, you feel lonely, can't smile or laugh at all, you can't understand what is happening around you you feel blank. The depression is the common symptom each and everyone experienced during a loss of someone close. The impact of the loss matters depending upon the person characteristics, personality and the how deep one takes the pain. You need to accept the loss, should of course cry, stay alone for certain period of time, at least takes 2 to 3 months to heal naturally. If you find difficulty to manage to heal naturally, you need to eat, way of exhausting depression through various hobbies. One cannot erase one's loss till their lost breath, but instead of thinking always and ruining their lives one shld keep moving in life to at least fulfil one's day to day needs, can't remain still, at least to live and lead a normal life one needs to keep moving forward. If you feel free to contact me either through text chat or call me when you find difficulty to manage. With regards

Dear lybrate-user Thanks for sharing your concern. Generally BP medicines are given for long time or lifelong. It's not necessary. But to be on safe side doctors advice to continue the medication. Yes you can stop your BP medicine, but with few thing to keep in mind. Follow the thumb rule to maintain your BP with lifestyle medicine. 1) Monitor your BP regularly say every week. 2) Eat low Sodium salt (avoid pickles, salty wafers, canned food) 3) Eat Potassium rich food (Ripe Banana, Black Grapes, Red bell pepper, Radish, onion, etc) on regular basis. 3) Drink at least 3 to 4 ltrs of slight cold water. 4) Do regular Cardio vascular exercises (walking and cycling. Avoid jogging, skipping rope) 30 mins daily 5. Do deep breathing exercises for 5 mins after your cardio exercise.
