Castor oil has been well known for its medicinal properties. It’s often used as a laxative, but has a wide variety of other health benefits, including many pertaining to hair and hair growth, as well as for facial oil cleansing method, stretch marks, dark spots and more. The oil has a unique chemical composition, which most likely contributes to its healing potential. It mostly consists of a triglyceride of fatty acids. It contains vitamin E, omega-6 fatty acids, minerals, and proteins, which are all important for the health of your hair and scalp. Castor oil: • helps with hair regrowth and hair loss, • makes the hair richer and darker, • prevents split ends, • treats dandruff and dry scalp, • moisturizes the hair and makes it shine, • works in an antifungal and antibacterial way and can prevent problems such as ringworm, and folliculitis. How to apply castor oil It’s best to use castor oil as a hair mask. This is particularly helpful if you’re trying to regrow hair or give it more moist and shine. 1. Castor oil has a thick consistency, so you can mix it with coconut oil, olive oil or jojoba oil in a half and half ratio. This will make the mask easier to distribute throughout your hair. 2. Use your fingers or a brush and start applying it onto your scalp with circular motions. This gentle massage increases the blood circulation, rejuvenates the hair, and stimulates hair growth. 3. Part hair into sections and apply the oil (mixture) to each section until all your hair is covered properly and evenly. 4. Wrap your hair in a warm towel (you can also use a shower cap) and leave it for two to eight hours. You can also leave it over night. This will give the oil enough time to penetrate the follicles and hydrate your scalp and hair thoroughly. 5. Wash your hair as usual using shampoo and conditioner. Make sure you rinse all the oil out of your hair. How often should you use castor oil? This depends on your objective and type of hair. If your aim is to treat hair loss, you will need to do it at least twice weekly, but even better if you can do it three or four times per week for several weeks.

Hello, please use a mild cleanser like Cetaphil or Moiz as facewash twice a day. Use mild soaps like Pears or Dove. Keep bath time short. Apply Elovera or Venusia moisturiser immediately after bath and in evening. Avoid hot water baths.

How to avoid skin irritation. Which medicines should be taken if a person is having scabies.

MD- Dermatology & Venereology,Leprosy , International Fellowship in Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Gurgaon
To avoid skin irritation use warm (not hot) water to take bath, use a mild ph balanced soap, apply a moisturiser immediately after bath and wear soft, well fitting cotton clothes. Avoid using mustard oil for body massage. Avoid direct application of deos and perfumes onto your skin. Use hair colour only after testing on a small area for any sensitivity. These are some of the things you can do to avoid irritation. Scabies is a mite infection. Permethrin cream and ivermectin tablets are used to treat it and all contacts should be treated to avoid recurrences and inadequate response. So consult your dermatologist for treatment and advice.

I have dark circles under my eyes when I was 8 years old so tell me what was the solution. How I removed this.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

I have dark circles under my eyes when I was 8 years old so tell me what was the solution. How I removed this.
Homoeopathic treatment under eye cream (bakson) apply at night under the eye in circular fashion glowcare drops (lords) 20 drops in 20 ml freh water 3 times daily take a good iron rich diet likeapple, pomegranate, spinach nd all other green vegetables 2 glass milk daily 6-8 glass extra water daily try to have a sound sleep home remedies slice up a papaya. Papaya fruit contains the enzyme papain. Papain helps exfoliate the skin, making way for new skin cells to emerge. Papaya also contains vitamin c and vitamin e, so it's a dark spot fading superstar. Papain is most concentrated while the papaya is still green, but you can use riper fruit as well. Peel and remove the seeds from a papaya, and try one of the following treatments: 1. Slice a piece off of the papaya, and lay or hold it on the dark spots that you want to get rid of. Hold it there for 20-30 minutes. Repeat twice a day for best results. 2. Make a papaya facial mask. Cut the papaya into chunks, then use a blender or food processor to blend the fruit into a smooth paste. Apply the mask to your face and neck. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse well.

I am suffering from scalp fungal infection. I want to know why this happened? what precautions I have take?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
It shows that your hair r not healthy. Sunlight and air is a must for hair and if hair r not exposed to anyone from these two, it may result in fungal infections. So after bath, get your hairs exposed to sunlight at least for 2 hours once a week. Do this and if still you have problem with your hair then I will prescribe you a very good homoeopathic medicine and you will be cured in 2 months. Drink 6-8 glass water daily 2 glass milk daily take nutritious diet and exercise regularly.
