What are some good laxative medicnes for dogs which are easily available. Please tell.
Lot of luxatives are available in market. But formost queation is that why your dog is having constipation or difficulty is passing stool which includes internal parasites, any obstruction in intestine to rectum, low fibre diet, prostate enlargement etc. I recommend to get your dog examined by vet so that reason is identified and management is done accordingky. Giving unnecessary luxative can lead to loosemotion, electrolyte imbalances, dehydration, intestinal damagr et c.

Veterinarian,
Holi - Spare the Pets!
Do not, under any circumstances, use colours or bhang on these helpless creatures as the consequences could be fatal. The presence of lead, which acts as an accumulative poison, makes Holi colours a high-risk material for dogs. Inhalation of the coloured powder may also cause nasal irritation and possibly respiratory allergy or infection. Most dogs get paranoid when you rub colours on them, since it very often gets into their eyes and nose, making them very uncomfortable. Dogs and us are not the same make, so this Holi, let?s keep the colors off the animals!

You can use hygienic and moistened soft cloth or cotton balls for removing softly debris, dirt or any remnants of stool on the kitten's body. You can use moistened soft cloth or cotton with antiseptic like savlon mixed with water. You can use commercially available diet for kitten in name of whiskas.

Doctor can you help me with my black female lab who is 6 month old. I feel that she has some problem with her coat as I find her hairs more often on clothes and bed. Though her coat looks to be fine, shiny and hairy yet this hair loss concerns me. Is it fine or any sort of symptom? And also how to help with her unclean ears?

MVSc, BVSc
Veterinarian,
Dogs do shed seasonally. The shedding is more in growing puppies. Its suggested that you comb your pet's fur at least once daily - preferably in the morning- to remove all dead/loose fur. This way you can reduce chances of finding fur on bed n cloths. Check if she's overdue for deworming, which can also contribute to stress and excess shedding. Check on diet, if it has balanced nutrients, especially good quality proteins. You can safely incorporate oral omega 3/6/9 supplement so as to control loss of fur. Hope this is helpful:)
