M 25 years old and my tongue is infection like sore and thrush. How to cure from this infection. Please tell me medicine.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Oral thrush is a fungal infection which occurs due to dry mouth, uncontrolled diabetes and weak immune system with debilitating disease or patient on corticosteroids. You may need fluconazole & renal safety dosage of amphotericin b (iv drugs to be used only with the advice of oral & maxillofacial surgeons). Kindly consult an oral & maxillofacial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need candid ointment until then. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

My daughter is 10 years old, about few months back I got her rcd done. As per my last visit to our doctor he suggested to redo the rcd for permanent one. We did same. Now few days back my daughter complain of pain. When I check I found the root canal filling was not there & I can see the black spot (bare hollow root. Kindly suggest what to do now. And any other treatment for same.

MDS - Orthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Noida
It seems that your treatment was not over. Absence of root canal filling suggests that final sitting of rct is still pending and this has lead to re infection of root canal space. She requires complete treatment.

Hello doctor I am 38 year old man I have teeth cavity problem last one year what should I do please tell me doctor.
Hi lybrate-user. Cavities should be treated in the initial stage only to prevent further damage to the tooth. But though its already a year you hav a cavity, it might hav gone lillte deeper. You first need a xray to know the extent of damage and then go for filling procedure, either normal or root canal. Or if completely destroyed and cannot be saved then extraction. Thank you.

Hello, bleeding gums could be because of deposits on your teeth or food lodged in your teeth. Visit a dentist get your scaling and polishing done. For properly aligned teeth you can go for Orthodontic treatment, you need to consult to an Orthodontist for that. This could b either due to sensitivity due to loss of enamel surface or due to decay of tooth. Tooth decay can b treated by filling of tooth or by rct n capping of the decay is deep. Sensitivity can b reduced by using desensitizing toothpaste such as senquelf or sensodyne toothpaste by rubbing some amount of toothpaste onto your tooth surface n wait till 5 mins before rinsing it off. Get your teeth evaluated by dentist to know the cause of your problem n get treated accordingly. Regsrds.

Eating and drinking naturally weakens the enamel on your teeth, and brushing straight afterwards can cause tiny particles of enamel to be brushed away. It is best not to brush your teeth until at least one hour after eating.

Hi, tooth ache can be due to some reasons like abscess, caries or cavity in tooth, gum disease and many more reasons. Go for physical examination first to get diagnosed correctly. No, pain killers are not permanent solution for tooth ache as it causes other damages if you continue them for long duration.
