Its good to increase your calcium intake as it will increase the endurance thus will improve. Regular knee exercises wil help you to maintain this. Acupuncture will be best alternative treatment.

Hello, I want to ask a health related questions for my friend . Actually he has pain in the bone of his leg. It started within 2-3 days when he started to run on the ground. He consulted a local doctor. The doctor gave him some tablets. Now it is 2 months today. But still he has pain in his bone even he is not running on the ground. Kindly help for this problem. Hey doc, my friend has changed alot, she doesn't laugh alot this days and she isn't her same. Few months back she started self harming and continuously cried. It all happened after some personal issues. She doesn't feel like playing or talking, she would rather sit in her room and read stories from her phone. Sometimes she doesn't even eat food the whole day, she cries to sleep and she has given up all hopes. She doesn't know what to do anymore. What should she do? What happened to her? Please doctor don't make this a public issue.

She is under depression. Try to find out the cause. She needs assurance and compassion.She needs professional counselling as the problem is somewhat difficult to be handled without professional assisstance at this point.Do not lose hope . Stiffness is there so tk heat fermentation twice a day and apply pain relief ointment and tk rest avoid toward bending long sitting if it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Tennis elbow if inflammation around the outer epicondyle region of your elbow. It is usually due to a degenerative tear in ecrb tendon. It is quite painful, you will benefit from - ice packs at home intensively 3-4 times in a day - physical therapy: ultrasonics for local application or laser therapy can be used - short course of an anti-inflammatory medication which suits you will be useful - tennis elbow brace from a good company helps certain people normally you should be ok in 2-3 weeks time, in the event pain continues, please contact me. It is very common to have back pain after Delivery. Moving around may be just what your body needs. Exercises to strengthen your abdominal muscles and increase flexibility may be helpful too. Choose a gentle form of exercise, such as walking. Walking is safe to start almost immediately after Delivery. Take it slowly and keep walks short in the first few weeks. (Swimming, which helps strengthen your muscles without putting undue stress on your joints, is another good option later on.) Make pelvic tilts exercises a part of your daily routine. Do gentle stretching exercises or yoga. Avoid overstretching or extreme positions. Pay attention to your posture and stand up straight. Sit up straight, too. Think about your posture when feeding your baby, whether you're nursing or bottle-feeding. If you have low back pain, try using a footstool to keep your feet slightly raised off the floor. Choose a comfortable chair with armrests, and use lots of pillows to give extra support to your back and arms. Always bend from your knees and lift objects and children from a crouching position to minimize the stress on your back. Let someone else lift heavy objects – this isn't the time to risk throwing your back out. (If you've had a c-section, you shouldn't be lifting anything heavier than your baby for at least eight weeks.). Best wishes.

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

take proper nutrition - do hot fermentation followed by little stretching for 30 sec - d0nt run after long gap rather start with brisk walking first. - drink lot of fluids as it could lead to low sodium level in body dont do overactivity of calf muscles like long standing, climbing stairs

I have OA in both knees and also need a hip (R) joint replacement for which I need to take off about 26 - 30 Kg. Is there any exercise that will help me walk or injections for cushioning in these areas - I want to avoid surgery - I am 63 years old and female. The metabolism in my body has slowed down and due to pain in hip am unable to walk even 10 mt without stopping. Pl answer. Thank you.

OA in both knees requires surgery but it depends up on how much it is damage so that you have to visit the orthopaedics doctor for clinical examination without clinical examination that can't be determined. So we advised you to visit joint replacement surgeon with x-rays of both knee and hip so that treatment course can be done.

Achilles Tendon - How To Deal With It

Achilles Tendon pain is an orthopedic condition that can originate from tears and ruptures to the AchillesTendon, which is known as one of the strongest and also the longest tendon in the human body. It is a band of tissues that decides the quality of your movements and motions to a great extent, as it connects the heel with the calf. Therefore, any injury to this tendon can decrease the strength and support to the muscles and create a painful situation. So how can you deal with this pain? Read on to know more.

  • Rice Therapy: Rice is a commonly used term by orthopedic specialist. It refers to Rest, Ice, Compression with a bandage, and finally Elevation. The patient must take lots of rest as well as use ice packs to deal with the injury and acute pain. Finally, the area must be compressed with a bandage and kept elevated on cushions.
  • Surgery: For very severe cases, the orthopedic specialist can recommend surgery as well. This kind of surgery aims at reattaching the displaced or ruptured tendon which may have reached such a fate through a sports or any other kind of injury. The doctor may also place your leg in a cast for a few weeks to keep it at complete rest. 
  • Pain Medication: The doctor can also prescribe pain relievers that contain Ibuprofen as well as acetaminophen or even naproxen. These medicines should be taken in moderation as per the doctor's prescription. Usually, this kind of medication is taken only when unbearable pain is experienced by the patient.
  • Thermotherapy or Heat Treatment: The use of heat for chronic pain or even pain that has been ailing for over 48 hours is known as thermotherapy. This therapy uses heating pads and hot water bottles to help relieve the pain. One must be careful while applying anything hot to the site of the injury. Use a towel to wrap the hot water bottle or heating pad so that there is no scalding or leaking on to the skin.
  • Footwear: It is important to prevent continuous injury and pain to the already injured Achilles tendon. To do this, you must wear supportive and comfortable footwear that has heel lifts and other customized orthotics built into the shoes. 

Taking care of Achilles Tendon pain is a matter of taking various precautions and supportive actions that lead to better healing.

May be strain n deficiency of calcium levels ok firstly avoid running do only walk for 2 days tk muscle relaxant medicine and apply heat formation with rest time and tk a roll of towel put the under knee and press for 10 second then released ok do 10 to 15 times if it ok otherwise tk vitd and calcium oral ya medicine.

I have left hip pain. When I sleep it is little after when I wake up it is some what high. After that no pain.

Cause of male hip pain is arthritis, an inflammation of the joint caused by overuse or osteoporosis, hip fractures, bursitis, a pinched nerve or an injured muscle or problem associated with prostate leading to hip pain. So first of all the cause for hip pain needs to be ruled out. Till then you can take rhus tox three pills three times a day for 3 days. And then report thereafter. Pain in chest with cardiac origin is more severe aggravate with exertion and associated with sweat and anxiety. 70 -80 heart beat is normal but if you have family history of heart disease and you doubt some heart disease in you, you should do a through checkup of your heart.
