I'm 24years old nd have skin problem.(psoriasis) for last 8 years. It's automatically cured and return again and again. What should I do?

I'm 24years old nd have skin problem.(psoriasis) for last 8 years. It's automatically cured and return again and agai...
psoriasis is manageable, the traditional approach is to start with the mildest treatments topical creams and ultraviolet light therapy (phototherapy) and then progress to stronger ones only if necessary. The goal is to find the most effective way to slow cell turnover with the fewest possible side effects coupled with a dietary therapy specially designed to manage psoriasis. Researchers found several studies linking obesity to an increased risk for psoriatic disease. These studies indicate that a higher body mass index (bmi) is associated with an elevated risk for developing psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, as well as increased disease severity. Obesity may provide the nudge that triggers psoriasis in people who are already predisposed to it, researchers also found that in overweight individuals, losing weight may improve the effectiveness of treatments. So if you lose weight, you may be reducing fuel for the fire. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.

SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU SLEEP!

Insomnia ranks right behind the common cold, stomach disorders, and headaches as a reason why people seek a doctor's help.

Serious sleeping troubles sometimes can result in psychiatric disturbance breathing problems, or unexplained leg movements during the middle of night. If you can't easily fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night for a month or so at a time, it may be time to consult an expert.

EXERCISE

Exercise does let you sleep sounder. But to help you fall asleep
faster, the best time to exercise is not just before bedtime, and
the type of exercise you should choose is not high intensity
training.

You see, when you train hard before bed, your heart works
harder, pumping more blood with every beat. High activity state
of the body means sleep is less likely. Your body also warm up
during exercise - whereas sleep is actually induced by a fall in
temperature of few degrees.

In short the best exercise to let you fall asleep better is a 20 minute bout of
cardio, done 5-6 hours before bedtime. Since the metabolic rise in body
temperature peaks by this time and starts to fall, you will catch the onset of
sleep just right.

* Avoid stimulants after twilight like coffee, colas, and even chocolate.
Don't smoke either; nicotine is a stimulant, too.

* Avoid alcohol at dinner and throughout the rest of the evening.

* Eat a light snack before bedtime--
for example bread and fruit or a glass of warm milk will do nicely
an hour or two before you hit the bed.
* Avoid sugary snacks that can excite your system or heavy
meals that can stress your body.

Welcome to a good night's sleep with this simple tip!

My girlfriend have big hip size nd she want to minimize it so what she need to do?

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
My girlfriend have big hip size nd she want to minimize it so what she need to do?
Hye, Thanks for the query. You cannot work on a specific body part. You have to work on overall fat loss and toning. You need to basically manage a healthy diet and exercise routine. Try to eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals.   Drink a glass of lime water in the mornings to flush out your system & avoid bloating. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Include exercises that tone your back, pelvic, leg and thigh muscles too. Sometimes a certain shape or feature of our body is genetic. You have to work on toning it and avoiding fat accumulation. Lastly be committed.                        Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing.     It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets and singular hip exercises or machines alone, on it's own will not give you targeted results. The fats will remain as it is. It's all about overall work out and balanced diet.

6 Things You Need to Know About Sex During and After Pregnancy

MBBS
Sexologist,
6 Things You Need to Know About Sex During and After Pregnancy

Pregnancy, especially the first one, is a very anxious phase in a couple's life. There is the knowledge of leaving your previous life and transition to a new one filled with excitement (and copious amount of poop). Every pregnancy is different. Some women are completely turned off by the thought of having sex while others suddenly have their interests spiked. Here are six things you need to know about sex during and after pregnancy

1. You won't hurt the baby: As creative as you get thinking of different positions, it is unlikely that sex will harm your unborn child. Although it is a good sign that your maternal instincts are kicking in, this is a simple open and shut case. While you and your partner get on the act, your baby will rest safely in the amniotic sack well protected with layers of cushion in the form of flesh and fluids. The mucous plug in your cervix that puts a cork on the amniotic fluid ensures things remain stable.
2. You won't bump the baby on the head: As much as your partner would like to believe that his penis is long enough bump into the baby during sex, this is not a possibility. No penis is that big or close to being big enough to get close to the baby. Even if your baby is head down resting in your pelvis, it is unlikely he or she will take a hit during sex.
3. Your baby won't watch your act: You have to have sex to make babies. That is one of the most natural and beautiful realities of our lives. It is true that your baby activity may spike a little when your uterus contracts after an orgasm, so that way the baby will know something exciting happened. But it is not possible for the baby to 'know' or 'remember' what happens on the outside.
4. Sex won't result into an STD transmission to your baby: For one, it is best to stick to your partner who you know is free from STD with or without the baby bump. You'll also feel better knowing that once the baby is inside, your cervix is shut and out of access for anything from semen to other organisms as the mucus plug acts as a super tight cork. But when it comes to STD, it is better you go the safe way for yourself and only proceed if you know your partner is clean for sure.
5. You'll have some extra fun with new manoeuvers: With a baby bump in between, the usual missionary position becomes uncomfortable for many women. Try new and fun ways to keep your partner happy
6. Sex will feel better or worse: Sex will make you feel better or worse depending on how comfortable you are. It is always great to get that loving feeling with your partner, but if you don't want to go all the way, you can start with a hug and end with a kiss too.
In case you have some questions or concerns you must discuss with your doctor.

How to manage the damage of liver by the consumption of alcohol. 20 year i have been drinking.

Masters in Clinical Psychology
Psychologist, Lucknow
How to manage the damage of liver by the consumption of alcohol. 20 year i have been drinking.
Hi, Firstly, QUIT ALCOHOL Try this to manage the damage caused to liver. Eat less carbohydrate Poor diet is the leading cause of fatty liver disease. The biggest offenders are sugar and foods made of white flour; they should be avoided. However, a high intake of carbohydrate rich foods in general can promote fatty liver, as the liver converts any excess carbohydrate into fat. Foods that need to be restricted include bread, pasta, rice, breakfast cereals, cakes, pastry, donuts, biscuits, fries, chips, pretzels (and other similar snack foods) and any food made of flour. Drink less alcohol Excess alcohol consumption is the second biggest cause of fatty liver. Alcohol can cause inflammation and damage to liver cells, resulting in fatty infiltration. People with a fatty liver should limit alcohol consumption to seven standard drinks per week, with at least two alcohol free days per week. Eat more vegetables, protein and the right fats Raw vegetables and fruits are the most powerful liver healing foods. These raw foods help to cleanse and repair the liver filter, so that it can trap and remove more fat and toxins from the bloodstream. Eat an abundance of vegetables (cooked and raw salads) and fresh fruits. Protein is important because it helps to keep the blood sugar level stable, helps with weight loss from the abdomen and reduces hunger and cravings. Protein should be consumed with each meal. Good sources of protein include eggs, poultry, seafood, meat, nuts, seeds, legumes and plain or Greek yogurt and cheeses. Healthy fats to include more of in your diet are found in olive oil, oily fish, coconut oil, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, chia seeds and raw nuts and seeds. Most processed vegetable oils and margarines can worsen a fatty liver. Deep fried foods are also bad for those with a fatty liver. Drink raw vegetable juices – these should be consumed 2 to 3 times a week and 250 to 300 mls (8 to 10 ounces) is adequate. Your juice should be comprised of 90 to 95 percent vegetables, with the remainder comprised of fruit if desired to improve the flavor. Citrus fruits are the most healthy for the liver. Take a good liver tonic to support your liver function.

Hello. Hair becomes dry when the hair shafts do not absorb or retain enough moisture, resulting in a brittle, lackluster appearance. This can be due to illness or nutritional deficiencies, use of harsh hair products, excessively washing your hair, exposure tochlorinated water, and frequent use of heated styling tools or hair dye. Do these:- Give oil message with Olive oil. You can apply egg mask or mashed banana mask on hair. Mash a ripe, peeled avocado and add two tablespoons of olive oil to it. Mix well until the consistency is thick and smooth. Shampoo and rinse your hair. Apply the mixture to your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Finally, rinse your hair. Do this once a week. All these are natural and safe. Eat healthy diet also. Protein rich diet and water good for healthy hair.
