Lunch ? Salad of raw vegetables such as carrot, beet, cucumber, cabbage, tomatoes. In case you do not digest raw vegetables, either steam or boil them. Whole grain bread or whole wheat chapattis (Indian recipe) and a glass of buttermilk. It will be good to add some roasted cumin seeds, green coriander leaves, a little salt and some grated ginger in the butter milk.For more details consult me privately.

I am 24 years old now and lean. I tried some weight gaining capsules and other products but that didn't help. Then I tried having a healthy diet comprising of all veg and non veg cereals etc but that didn't help either. My weight is just between 38-40 doesn't go up I look very lean. Please help.

Juicing for diabetics can be very helpful in controlling blood sugar. Fresh vegetable juice is loaded with antioxidants, phyto-chemicals and hopefully trace minerals, it is beneficial for normalizing blood sugar, plus fresh vegetable juice can be a key ingredient in a weight loss program. Green apple may help to slow carbohydrate digestion, slow glucose absorption, and stimulate the pancreas. Green apples are lower in sugar than red apples, but should still be used sparingly when juicing for diabetes. Spinach, tomatoes, celery, mint, cabbage, cucumber can be used in making juices (quantity acc to the preparation of a serving) can have vegetable juices at mid day 11 o clock or at 6 o clock can have it in form of soups or cut veggie salads with sprouts as well.

Hello doctor. My father he is 52 years has diabetes. He got to know before 1 month when he went to doctor and doctor said he has 480 sugar. Then he took medicine and another test after few days came out with 174 sugar level and third test is 168 sugar level. Now before 1 week the test came out with 91 sugar level so doctor said this is too low. It should be increased till 120. So please suggest me what he should do and eat to attain that level. He is been too weak. And I am so worried about my father. Please suggest.

Don't you worry.. Don't give too much attention to sugar level for a while... Just focus on right health, right diet plan and also on normal leaving style.. Reason of sugar is mainly fatness., tension, too much workout, bad eating habits, excessive drinking tea or coffee.. Walking is best remedy for sugar level.. No matter it is low or high... So in morning first do walk in Park... Must do yoga and light exercise.. Dont Drink tea or coffee.. Just have green tea without milk.. Eat green veg and salid more.. Use desi khand instead of sugar.. Don't take sugar in liquid form like cold drinks, juices, sugar in tea etc... Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning. Do regular exercise atleast 20 minutes. Go for cycling, jogging, gardening, swimming etc. Take 1glass lukewarm water with half lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast. Avoid junk food. Take proper sleep. Take small meals in frequent intervals. When child is hungry, he shall definitely like to eat but of his own choice rather yours. It is just possible that you may be forcing your choice. Give him all edible well nutritious items prepared at home of his choice including milk and its products. Sucking of fingers must have started at his early age for the reason he may have not been given food of his choice and kept hungry. I hope this may help.

Hello, To calculate ideal body weight you need to also provide your height. A good doable balanced diet will always be better to follow. Include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Have frequent meals at regular interval will also help keep your sugar levels stabilise, which have a favorable impact on weight loss. Say no to ready to eat and processed products. All About Impetigo

Impetigo is a disorder caused by bacterial infection resulting in sores and blisters. It usually occurs more in children and less in adults. It is characterized by red sores filled with fluid, along with yellowish brown crusts. It is contagious in nature and may spread via sharing sheets, clothing and towels.
Impetigo may be classified as: 

  1. Bullous impetigo: This type usually occurs in children below two years of age. The body, arms and the legs are the areas where the symptoms first appear. 
  2. Impetigo contagiosa:This form of impetigo usually appears near the mouth and the nose. The rashes are not usually painful but may be itchy. After the blisters burst, they leave red rashes.
  3. Ecthyma: This is a form of impetigo that affects the second layer of the skin. The blisters may turn into open sores or ulcers. It may also lead to swollen lymph nodes.

Symptoms:
The symptoms of impetigo are: 

  1. You may have small red spots that turn to blisters
  2. The blisters emit fluid
  3. The blisters may increase in number

In addition to the above symptoms, you may experience swollen lymph nodes and skin lesions. 

Causes:
This disease is caused by strep or staph bacteria. The bacteria enter the body through other skin conditions such as insect bites, eczema, burns and poison ivy. It may also be triggered by irritation of the skin. The likelihood of contracting impetigo increases if you have allergies.

It may also occur if you come in contact with an affected person. Sharing personal items such as bedding, towels or comb may lead to symptoms of impetigo. If you have dermatitis, diabetes or have a weak immune system then you are prone to impetigo. The disease is treated with antibiotics. Mild symptoms of impetigo may be treated by following basic hygiene practices.

Here are some diet tips 1. Eat high fibre food avoids eating food in simple sugar form 2. Eat fresh fruits instead of fruit juices. Fruits are good source of fibre except banana mango, chiku. 3. Try to avoid deep fried food and oil containing food. Control your fat consumption in your routine diet 4. Avoid bakery products, sweets. 5. Have plenty of water at least 3 lt/day 6. At least half hour walk/day. All are common things but for definite result you need individual diet and exercise schedule
