Herniated disc what we commonly call ‘slipped disc’. It can be a very painful and debilitating condition. When the cushion that sits between the spinal vertebra is pushed outside its normal position, you have a herniated disc. This can occur as a result of rupture or bulging due to injury, disease, or deterioration. The spinal disc when pushed out irritates the spinal nerves that lay very close to the edge of these spinal discs causing severe pain. In some people, symptoms like severe back pain, leg pain, or weakness of the lower extremity muscles are traced to a herniated disc.

Herniated disc can occur to anyone. It is, however, seen more commonly in people between the ages of 35 to 45 who perform heavy manual labour or drive motor vehicles for long periods of time.

How does ayurveda help treat herniated disc naturally and safely?

  • In ayurveda slip can be categorized as one of the diseases caused by vitiation of vata (one of the principle dosha in the body, responsible for the movement and function of the body).
  • Ayurvedic treatment for slip disc concentrate at restoring the equilibrium through correction of the underlying functional equilibrium.

Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the knee against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It may have to be further investigated. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.

You must take rest at present. Do not go for walk in the morning. You can move at your home here to there at least complete 10000 steps in a day. Also take arnica 200 thrice a day three drops in water for one day. And give rest to your legs.

I'm 35 years old male. Suffering from severe left shoulder & neck pain .Consulted Ortho&Neuro doctors n have been taking pain killers for almost 2 weeks but still unable to sleep. 1.Hot Fermentation over the painful shoulder for 10-15 min. Twice a day 2.Active shoulder movements within the painfree range. 10 reps 3.Wall press with shoulder anteriorly and sideways. 10 sec hold and 10 reps 4.Ultrasonic therapy over the painful point 5.Electrotherapy for 15-18 mins over the painful shoulder. 6.Precaution: Avoid sleeping on the affected shoulder, Avoid lifting any weight with the affected shoulder.

I am not facing any problem while walking on uneven surface also. Sir,Is it really require for ACL arthroscopic surgery? NOTE: I do not want to play any sports game in future. Hi. 1. Please note that it is the complete acl tear with symptoms of instability which require surgery. Partial acl tear can be very well treated without surgery. Also, if you don't want to do sports activities then you might consider not to go for surgery. It's good that you don't have instability on Uneven surfaces. But it is more important that pivoting action on your knee should not cause any symptoms. 2. If you don't have any instability then no need for knee Brace. As it will further weaken your Quadriceps muscles. 3. Maintenance in the form of Quadriceps strengthening, avoid pivoting action and if instability symptoms start later then don't ignore. 4. Quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises should be 3 times a day with repetition of 30. More you do better for you. Tc

.Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
