Herbal tea with ginger is beneficial for thyroid functioning. In fact, beverages including coffee, tea, carbonated drinks and alcohols should be avoided by patients afflicted with thyroid disorders. In its place herbal tea may be an alternative option...Application of watercress's paste on the enlarged neck is also an effective remedy....take punarnavadi mandoor and kanchnar guggul 1-1 tab twice a day. ..if TSH level is high then you have to take thyroxin tab depending on your condition....

There is no magic medicine for Diabetes. Though some herbs etc claim to control this, there is no data to prove these claims. Today in the name of Organic/Natural/Ayurveda etc. People are selling all sorts of stuff. With no research/tests/ certification. While such juices may have general health benefits. Its better to continue you proper medicine side by side.

Premature greying of hair can be due to stress, smoking, nutritional deficiency, thyroid disorder, chemical use over hair etc. but most important cause is hereditary factor. As such nothing much can be done for premature greying esp if it is hereditary or familial. The hair that has turned white would remain so but its progression can be prevented to some extent by taking hair supplements containing calcium pantothenate and PABA. For the same you may take tablet follihair one daily. Food rich in proteins (like sprouts, lentils, soy products), vitamin A and B like whole wheat products, green leafy vegetables, carrots, yellow and orange fruits like mangoes, papayas, nuts like sunflower seeds, walnuts, sesame seeds provide minerals like copper which are essential for maintaining hair pigment. Hope that answers your query. Feel free to write back if having any doubts. Regards

It is natural for a man to feel erection when he is sexually aroused. The muscles, nerves, hormones and blood vessels all work together and maintain an erection. If a man is unable to obtain and maintain erection of penis during sexual activity if a man has difficulty in getting firm or erection or is unable to maintain an erection during the sexual penetration, he is most likely has a condition called Erectile dysfunction. It is normal for a man not to be able to achieve erection on some occasions, but if it is regular then it needs attention. Inability to achieve full erection could be either due to psychological or medical reasons and can be treated with right guidance and treatment. Psychological reasons includes chemistry with your sexual partner, any guilt, fear of intimacy negative feelings depressions can affect the erection. Medical conditions like thickening of the walls of the arteries, obesity, heart diseases, prostate disorder, any injury to the pelvic region or any other such underlying diseases that affects the proper flow of blood to the penis can cause erectile dysfunction. is dangerous for diabetes patients
who is having alcohol regularly.?
High sugar level is dangerous for all patients, because it affects large and small blood vessels, eyes, heart, kidneys and nerves. Can also lead to ulcers in foot etc. If diabetes is uncontrolled one is inviting all kinds of complications. Alcohol on top of it is further problem as it affects liver too.

You might be having rebound hyperglycaemia in your fasting sample, because with 25 units of actrapid your post meal level is 145 only meaning insulin is effectively controlling it. Possibly after the evening dose of insulin and a longer interval between dinner and lunch, by the early hours of morning your blood sugar might be going below normal without your knowledge while you are asleep. At this the internal mechanisms of body release anti insulin hormones and the morning blood sugar in fasting samples is raised. The doctors even somtimes get misguided by this and further increase the evening dose of insulin insead of reducing it. In your case the evening dose may be reduced by 2 units and afte about 1 week the fasting sample be rechecked. It should show normal or near normal level.

Can a diabetics person consume Dates, and if yes then what is the consumption per day?

Can a diabetics person consume Dates, and if yes then what is the consumption per day?
Hello, Dates are a good source of fibre, energy, antioxidants minerals and vitamins. But it has glucose in considerable amounts too. Hence if you consume too many of them it would raise your blood glucose levels. I would suggest you can take about 3 medium sized dates in a day. Thank you.

My mother's age is 50 years. She had diabetes from last 3 years, she is using glycomet 500 mg daily twice morning one and evening one. Her latest blood sugar test results are: fasting Blood sugar : 90 mg post lunch Blood sugar: 150 mg. She had rice in the morning and after 4 hours we have taken post lunch sample, without taking any tablet. Without tablet her post lunch sugar level is normal, means we can stop to take tablets? Do it after 2-3 days without medicine and see again. If it comes normal do it again after a week and if consistently both the samples, fasting and post meal remain normal, then stop medicine but continue dietary restrictions and exercises. Afterwards do monthly follow up checks and act as per reports.

high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain. Take anti cholesterol medicines .
