In my face there are more thick facial hair. What is the reason behind this and how to remove.

Hello. We do have good and effective medicines in Homoeopathy for unwanted facial hair. Want to know whether do you have any hormonal imbalance? Apart from these medications, take good healthy food which also contributes to your problem. Diet for Unwanted Facial Hair: - Vitamin B6 can reduce the production of prolactin, a hormone that causes the male hormone testosterone to be taken up by tissues. It also dampens cells' responsiveness to hormones. This vitamin can be found in avocados, fish, organ meats, soybeans, walnuts, peanuts, bananas and other fruits. - Calcium-D-Glucarate can help your body detoxify hormones. It's a natural substance found in many fruits and vegetables, including apples, Brussels sprouts, bean sprouts, broccoli and cabbage. This also is called Glucaric Acid, D-Glucarate, or D-Glucaric Acid. If you supplement, use 200 mg twice a day. - Vitamin E can normalize androgens and reduce the effects of testosterone. Wheat germ oil, almonds, sunflower seeds, safflower oil, peanut butter, corn oil, spinach, broccoli, mangoes and spinach contain this vitamin. - Consuming up to 500 mg per day of magnesium is another way to reduce testosterone effects and bring androgens back into balance. Nuts, seeds, raw leafy greens, soybeans and whole grains contain magnesium. - Zinc and copper are minerals that can help prevent unwanted facial hair. Do not overdo with copper; the ideal balance of zinc to copper is eight to one in favor of zinc. Copper is abundant in the environment---it's in drinking water in some areas, and you can get it from copper plumbing and cooking equipment. - Get enough iodine. The thyroid gland needs iodine to make its hormones, which regulate metabolism. If you need to eat more iodine, consume sea vegetables, or seaweeds, twice a week, or use an iodine-rich seasoning such as Seaweed Gomasio. In case of Thyroid Dysfunction, avoid Brassica group of family like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts, kohlrabi (greman cabbage), turnip, collard greens. Medication: Schwabe's Oleum Jacoris 3x/ 3 times a day for a month.

Get a mri done to pin point the cause and site of pain. Meanwhile go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti (specialised panchakarma procedure for backpains), localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax your back muscles and give strength to your nerves and muscles of back. Also start some yogic exercises - tadasana, dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Every day I brushing my teeth but they did not change white colour and also smell is coming out when I talking.

Hi, the yellow color of your teeth might be because of stains which can be superficial and deep or even it might be the natural hue of your teeth. If the they stains are superficial they can be removed by a complete scaling procedure. Deeper stains can be removed by bleaching which can also lighten the yellow shade of your teeth to a certain extent. Bad smell from the mouth can be caused due to various reasons like, 1) tartar deposition in the teeth 2) smoking and pan chewing 3) dry moth due to reduce secretion of saliva 4) due to ulcers in the stomach its advisable to consult your dentist and get your condition treated accordingly. Can Stress Cause High Blood Pressure?

Domestic chores, travelling, work pressure- keeping up to everyone’s demands everyday is undoubtedly exhausting. There are times in our lives when we feel we can’t manage our lives anymore. We find ourselves stuck in a web of anxiousness, irritability and forgetfulness that affects us negatively. Such times of stress have more or less become another extension of our daily existence. And, it definitely is slowly but steadily affecting our health.
Stress and High Blood Pressure
Stress is linked with high blood pressure. And with high BP, all other diseases like heart failure, kidney failure, and stroke are associated.
During times of stress, our blood pressure increases. Also, our heart rate shoots up very quickly. Our body produces certain hormones because of which our BP increases. These hormones also cause heart to beat faster and blood vessels to narrow down. This might seem like a temporary phase. But overtime the behavioral patterns linked to stress impacts our blood pressure levels negatively. It is believed that reaction to stress makes blood thicker and more viscous. This may in turn lead to blood clots.
Stress is the root cause of unhealthy and self destructive behavior. Common habits that people do to deal with stress include over eating, eating wrong kinds of foods, consuming alcohol, smoking, taking drugs, etc. One tends to neglect one’s health at times avoiding medications and all these factors contribute to hypertension — thus stress has an indirect effect on hypertension.
Generally, there are two kinds of Stress – Acute & Chronic.
Acute Stress
Acute stress is when you are experiencing a very high level of stress for a short period of time. This usually happens due to a specific situation. At times of stress there is release of steroid hormones and the stress hormone Cortisol. These hormones cause increased heart rate and decreased blood vessel diameter which leads to increased blood pressure.
Chronic Stress
Chronic stress is the grinding stress that wears people down and stays for a long period of time. It can contribute to long term problems for the heart and blood vessels. When the stress response system is activated, this automatically affects other systems like increasing blood pressure, blood sugar levels and decreases immune response. The consistent and ongoing increase in heart rate, and the elevated levels of stress hormones and of blood pressure takes a toll on your health. This long-term ongoing stress thus increases the risk for hypertension, heart attack or stroke.
Stress Management to Reduce Hypertension
Repeated acute stress and persistent chronic stress are both conditions that need to be tackled and treated well in time. At times when you lose yourself completely in the heat of a stressful moment, unknowingly you are creating so much damage to yourself. During such instances take deep breaths, and just sit and first sort out in your head the cause of the outburst. Speak to someone you can trust and let the negative voice in you die down before you presume your work.
The first step to stress management begins with training your mind to take control of the situation and not become a victim of your own negative thoughts and emotions. With proper professional therapy and self-help tools you can lessen the negative effects of your daily pressure

I am 31 years old. I have a 2.5 years old daughter. I suffer from depression and anxiety. My husband is very egoistic and self centred. He is repenting for marrying me. I am non working. Husband is ignoring me sexually and emotionally too. His mother always dominates me. She misguide him and do mischievous activities in his absence. Is generalized anxiety disorder completely curable? 2 years back I was fully mentally fit. Now, due to anxiety I am afraid of closed spaces, high speed, height, big movie theater screen, lift, metro etc. Medicines suppressed my anxiety, but after stopping them, it can again come up.

Generalized Anxiety disorder is a treatable condition. The two main treatments for anxiety disorders are psychotherapy/behavioral therapy and medications or a combination of the two. The treatment is usually long term. That you are feeling scared in closed spaces, height, lift, metros, high speed, big theater screens etc indicate that the anxiety symptoms are still in you. Get yourself evaluated by a Psychiatrist who will prescribe you medicines and/or advice you counseling sessions accordingly. Adhere to treatment. Also stay under regular supervision of your doctor, as treatment may be modified from time to time based on your state. Do not stop treatment on your own without advice from your attending doctor. & if you have any query regarding your symptoms or treatment, talk openly with your doctor. Your weight should be not more than 48 kgs. Eat less fat and more proteins. For protein eat sprouted moong, masoor, matar etc. For exercise do go to a gym for mild exercises. It is not necessary for you to do heavy ones

My mother is having swelling in intestine from around 4—5 years and now after consulting a doctor from medanta she is being prescribed to take Rifagut 400, which she is taking since last 3 months 2 tablets daily, will these antibiotic can effect kidney or other side effects?

I am 60 year old lad. I have knee pain since last two months during use of staircase. X-ray shows start of osteo arthritis. Is it possible to improve my condition by doing exercises?

Yes it is definately possible to control it by exercises. Osteoarthirits is a degenrative disorder. It can be controlled by professionaly designed physiotherapeutic exercises by restoring the balance between all the muscles around the knee thus preventing erosion of the joints. Exercises will prevent its speedy deterioration and improve quality of life. And yes painkillers are not the solution.

In my kidney I have stones from six months. Size is 5.8 maximum. I ask just if am I doing abs exercises and running then. Is there any chance of infection in my stomach or kidney.

Dear exercises and running leads to loss of water from body. So maintain hydration and try the tips below. Tips for removing kidney stones: 1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day.

Mr. Lybrate-user, diabetes can only be treated by either oral anti-diabetic drugs or insulin injections or both. Plus diet restriction and regular exercise. Unfortunately there are no other drugs in any branch of medicine which control blood sugar. So my suggestion is to continue present treatment. I have seen patients in my practice who stopped modern medicine and started other therapies and have come back with exceptionally high blood sugar. Now the choice is yours.
