I am 26 year old male having pain in my left knee from one month kindly suggest me any exercises.
Knee joint is very complex joint made by 3 bones - femur, tibia, fibula and knee cap - patella. Several ligaments, cartilage and menisci are covered all around. So pain in knee joint may be due to several reasons. In your case the pain may be due to some internal injury like cartilage etc for which you are not aware or may be due to deficiency of vitamins or uric acid. So in general I would advise you to please go for proper investigation so that the reason can be diagnosed. In the mean time to get relief from pain and stiffness please follow the physio measures: precautions- 1. Avoid prolong standing. Standing on one leg or running for time being if its painful. 2. Take care while bending your knees, it should not directly strain your joint. 3. Avoid heavy weight lifting. 4. Wear shoes with good arch support, do not wear high -healed shoes. 5. Use the correct positions during activities so that you do not strain your muscles. 6. Try to change your sitting position every 15 min so that it should not give strain on your knees. 7. Avoid sitting on floor with both knees bending. 8. Take diet rich in calcium like milk, dairy products, banana etc which will enhance your calcium and gives you strength. Treatment - 1. Use of cold or hot packs which ever suits you - apply ice or hot pack to the painful area and massage for near about 10 minutes. Make a habit for doing atleast twice a day initially. 2. After this using your thumb massage your knee area gently. Exercises include: 1. Quads isometrics. 2. Hamstrings isometrics. 3. Slr 4. Bridging do not do single leg bridging if pain is very severe. 5. Knee bending lying or supine position. 6. Heel raising 7. Step ups 8. Lunge 9. Squatting you can do the above treatment plan it will give you pain relief. But if you face severe pain while doing the exercises then stop doing and apple talcum over knee, with thumb massage your knee area slightly. For any question please inform or update me. You could be having Epididimo-Orchitis left side. You must urgently consult a general surgeon, who will examine you, do the necessary investigations and treat you.

I am 24 years old. I am working From past 2 and half years. Its a desk job due to which I sit on chair for almost 8 to 12 hrs in AC. I had a habit of sitting crossed leg since my height is short. When I used to get up for break sharp pain on right knee I used to feel for few minutes and then it used to get normal. My knee pain is still there. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Sir, Recently I was suffering from left leg vein problem. Swelling occurred in a spot below knee. I treated by a doctor for 20 days. Swelling comes down. But I went Kasturaba Hospital at Manipal, Udupi. There they suspected left vein Thrombosis. What is this thrombosis? What is the effect to my health? What is the remedy to nullify this thrombosis? Is it affects in future days because, I am 52 years old. Please reply Sir.

: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

I have pain in my left knee, when i use stairs it seems somthing get cracked in my knee. Also having bad motion now a days m suffering from poor memory also have problem of spondlysis. Are theses problems connected to each other. Can i have one solution for all these problems.

You have osteoarthritis of the knee. Do not odd stairs or Indian toilet. Do not sit on floor. Use diclifenac gel for local application and hot water bag. If no improvement consult your orthopedic dr.

This could be due to OA knee &/Or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. IBUPROFEN 200mg OD & SOS x 5days CALDIKID PLUS (mankind) 1 tab ODx10days You will need other supportive medicines also. You should get xray and mri done. Till then take muscle relaxants avoid heavy workouts. Till then you can start with stretching and back strenghthening exrecises. Referr back with reports.

Start with physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise for spine. Don't sit on floors. Don't lift heavy things. Take calcium and methylcobalamine supplement with omega3 for three months minimum. Use lumber spine belt also.
