I am 56 yrs old retired govt servant. I am suffering from diabetes since last 4 yrs. At present my fasting blood sugar level is 125. And pp 265. And a1c is 6.7%. From the last 4 months i feel very tired , pain under the deltoid region while sleeping . Legs feels numb. My TFT results are normal. Pls give me an advice.

As your PP is high. If you are not taking any medications then its the time to start medications. Better to start with oral hypoglycemic agents. (OHA). These body pain and tiredness may be due to diabetes. Can start with METFORMIN 500mg once a day in between breakfast and see the result after 2 weeks. If it is improved then continue. There are side effects also. If you feel gastric trouble then consult again.

Your symptoms do suggest early signs of arthritis, but no need to worry its prigress can be delayed. You need to do regular exercises specially static qaudriceps, hamstrings, regular walking. Do not gain weight and if you are obese you need to lose weight.

You should take Arnica 30 thrice a day three drops in water one day only. After that Rhus Tox 30 thrice a day for two day. Do massage of calf muscles from downward to upward daily at night for five days. Take vitamin D once a week for a month.

There could be tightness of the calf muscles and ankle also...so exercise regularly..do .ankle toe movement up and down,sideways,circling clockwise and anti clockwise 20 times each,and also do stretching of the calf muscles.Aslo remember not to weat shoes that is too tight and flat.If it doesn't help then consult a doctor.

I have a severe neck and back pain. I am into sales job. So I required to drive a lot by bike. I thought the main cause for the pain is using bike. So I have reduced using bike also nowadays. But my pain still persists so high. Even I am not using pillow while sleeping. The pain could be due to irriation of discs in neck and back area which is common in bike riders due to tremendous pressure on spine. Before doing any vigorous exs programs consult an orthopaedic doctor who can diagnose it. You can then start backa nd neck stretching exs first. Once pain is in control only then do strengthening exs otherwise muscle tightness can aggravate.

Please do x-ray Cervical spine first Try not to lean forward and work/study Keep your head straight as far as possible - wear a neck collor Take Hypericum 30 - thrice daily for next 7 days Continue treatment.

Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

(A) Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. (B) Use no pillow under the head.
