Experiencing less blood flow during your periods. Can be definitely due to hormonal changes, PCOD. Yu are very anemic and need tiron capsules for it and medication for PCOD. Also check TSH as hypothyroidism also can cause all these.

1. Increase intake of barley flour, horse gram (a type of bean), split green gram, honey, celery seeds, cumin seeds, dried ginger root powder, garlic, bitter gourd and castor oil. 2. Avoid eating fish and milk together or milk and jaggery together. 3. Avoid incompatible, heavy, and oily foods. 4. Avoid an improper diet and lifestyle, such as waking up late in the night, suppressing natural urges of the body, and getting direct exposure to cold winds. 5. Go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid or semi-solid diet for an entire day, depending on your strength. You can follow this with hot fomentation (application of moist heat). This can be done by soaking cloth in warm water and giving a compress over the affected parts or steam bath or taking a bath with lukewarm water. These are the best methods of digesting ama. 6. Go for panchkaarma therapy for 10 days in some panchkarma center.

I haven't able to sleep early at night. Which is causing too much problem for me. Even I try to sleep but it does not...
Causes of Insomnia (difficulty falling and/or staying asleep): * Significant life stress (job loss or change, death of a loved one, divorce, moving) Illness * Emotional or physical discomfort * Environmental factors like noise, light, or extreme temperatures (hot or cold) that interfere with sleepSome medications (for example those used to treat colds, allergies, depression, high blood pressure, and asthma) may interfere with sleep *Interferences in normal sleep schedule (jet lag or switching from a day to night shift.) * Depression and/or anxiety Treatment advice:     - Get all the underlying Mental (like depression or anxiety) and physical health conditions treated.    - Learn some self hypnosis or other relaxation techniques and practice them.      - Good Sleep Habits (sleep hygiene)  for Beating Insomnia: *Try to go to sleep at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning. * Try not to take naps during the day, because naps may make you less sleepy at night. * Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol late in the day. Caffeine and nicotine are stimulants and can keep you from falling asleep.  * Alcohol can cause waking in the night and interferes with sleep quality. Get regular exercise. *Try not to exercise close to bedtime, because it may stimulate you and make it hard to fall asleep. Experts suggest not exercising for at least three to four hours before the time you go to sleep. * Don't eat a heavy meal late in the day. A cup of cold milk before bedtime, however, may help you sleep. *Make your bedroom comfortable. Be sure that it is dark, quiet, and not too warm or too cold. If light is a problem, try a sleeping mask. If noise is a problem, try earplugs. * Follow a routine to help you relax before sleep. Read a book, listen to light instrumentsl music, or take a bath. * If you can't fall asleep and don't feel drowsy, get up and read or do something that is not overly stimulating until you feel sleepy. * If you find yourself lying awake worryingabout things, try making a to-do list before you go to bed. This may help you to not focus on those worries overnight. ***consult professional if the problem persists too long or affects your daily life.

Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

MICOG, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Gurgaon
Abnormal Uterine Bleeding

Abnormal uterine bleeding, formerly known as dysfunctional uterine bleeding, is vaginal bleeding that cannot be related to pelvic injuries, miscarriage, pregnancy or menstrual cycle.

Symptoms:

  1. The cycle changes and the bleeding become heavier.

  2. Bleeding lasts for 7 days or more.

  3. A tender or dry vagina.

  4. Abnormal mood swings.

  5. Hot flashes.

  6. Nausea.

  7. Excessive body hair, especially on the back, chest and face.

Causes:

  1. The ovaries do not release an egg.

  2. Changes in the hormone level.

  3. Lower levels of oestrogen or progesterone.

  4. Thickening of the uterine wall in women above 40 years of age.

  5. Certain birth control pills can also cause abnormal bleeding.

  6. Some women also complain of abnormal bleeding in their first few weeks of pregnancy.

Diagnostic Procedure:

  1. The physician first checks the haemoglobin levels of the woman.

  2. An ultrasound of the pelvic region is done to check for physical injuries.

  3. Sometimes, an endometrial biopsy (the doctor checks a sample of the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus) is also used to test the condition of the uterine lining.

  4. Hysteroscopy, using a hysteroscope, is used to test the insides of the uterus. A hysteroscope is a thin tube that is inserted into the vagina for the examination of cervix as well as the insides of the uterus.

Treatment:

  1. Younger women in the range of 18-23 years of age are usually treated using low doses of birth control pills.

  2. Oestrogen therapy is used.

  3. Painkillers such as ibuprofen are also prescribed before the beginning of the menstrual periods.

  4. The increase of ‘progesterone’ through IUD. An IUD (intrauterine device) is a contraceptive device that is inserted into the uterus.

  5. Cyclic hormone therapy is given to women above 40 years of age (Progesterone is administered in a periodic interval, usually about 4 weeks).

  6. Women considering pregnancy are recommended hormone therapy to increase ovulation.

  7. Anaemic women are given iron supplements.

I am getting over weight day by day especially i am troubled with my belly fat. What should I do?
Excessive weight gain is caused when people consume more calories than the body needs—occurring most commonly due to eating a diet high in fat and calories, being sedentary, or both. This imbalance between calories consumed and calories burned, however, can also be caused by a number of different obesity-related factors such as genetic, hormonal, behavioral, environmental and, to some extent, cultural. There are many other factors causing obesity such as pregnancy, tumors as well as endocrine disorders and medications that include psychotic drugs, estrogens, corticosteroids and insulin Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4.Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 9.Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice.

My grandfather is very serious at the moment. He is very ill. So what is the symptoms of malaria?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
My grandfather is very serious at the moment. He is very ill. So what is the symptoms of malaria?
Hello, Malaria is an acute febrile illness. In a non-immune individual, symptoms appear 7 days or more (usually 10–15 days) after the infective mosquito bite. The first symptoms – fever, headache, chills and vomiting – may be mild and difficult to recognize as malaria. If not treated within 24 hours, P. falciparum malaria can progress to severe illness, often leading to death. Children with severe malaria frequently develop 1 or more of the following symptoms: severe anaemia, respiratory distress in relation to metabolic acidosis, or cerebral malaria. In adults, multi-organ involvement is also frequent. In malaria endemic areas, people may develop partial immunity, allowing asymptomatic infections to occur. Medication: If he is having malaria which is confirmed, give him China 200/ twice daily for 2 weeks.

How I improve our fairness? With the help of nature. And how find this nature jn our area?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
How I improve our fairness? With the help of nature.
And how find this nature jn our area?
Just keep always one thing in mind.Beauty comes fromwithin outwards.Means just remember 3 GOODS in life EAT GOOD,THINK GOOD and SLEEP GOOD. To implement these goods in your life, your mind musst be pure and If you will follow them regularily ,it will reflect on your skin and face. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Vitamin C Vitamin C is also a super antioxidant. It is needed for a strong immune system, radiant skin and helps blemishes heal properly. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. They all help to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin. Cut out crash diets Repeatedly losing and regaining weight can take its toll on your skin, causing sagging, wrinkles and stretch marks. Crash diets are often short in essential vitamins too. Over long periods of time this type of dieting will reflect on your skin. Stock up on selenium Selenium is a powerful antioxidant. It works alongside other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C and is essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium-rich diet can help to protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. One way to boost your intake is to eat Brazil nuts. Just four nuts will provide the recommended daily amount (RDA). Mix Brazil nuts with other seeds rich in vitamin E as a snack or salad sprinkle. Other good sources are fish, shellfish, eggs, wheatgerm, tomatoes and broccoli. Vitamin E Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts and sunflower and corn oils. Drink up Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day - all fluids count towards your daily allowance, but water is the best. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink. Herbal, caffeine-free teas are good too. Try to avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both can age the skin. Don't be afraid of fat Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats - the types found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds - provide essential fatty acids which act as a natural moisturiser for your skin, keeping it supple. These fats also come packaged with a healthy dose of vitamin E (a vitamin many of us lack), which will help protect against free radical damage. Eat more phyto-estrogens Phyto-estrogens are natural chemicals found in plant foods (phyto meaning plant). They have a similar structure to the female sex hormone oestrogen and have been found to help keep our natural hormones in balance. There are different types, some are found in soya bean products (isoflavones), whereas others are found in the fibre of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables and flax seeds (lignans). Include phyto-estrogen rich soya, wholegrains, fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. Opt for omega-3 Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 fats. These are essential fatty acids which mean they cannot be made in the body and must be obtained through the diet. You will find omega-3s in oily fish and plant sources such as flaxseed oil, linseeds, walnut and rapeseed oil. Omega-3 fats encourage the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help skin, particularly inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psorasis. Go for low-GI carbs Eat plenty of beans, pulses, porridge and other slow-releasing carbohydrates. These release sugar into the blood stream gradually, providing you with a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore less likely to snack. Avoid high GI carbohydrates like biscuits and sugary drinks, as they lead to production of insulin, which may damage collagen and accelerate wrinkles. Don't forget zinc Zinc is involved in the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands in the skin (which produce oil) and helps to repair skin damage and keep skin soft and supple. Zinc-rich foods include fish, lean red meat, wholegrains, poultry, nuts, seeds and shellfish.

I'm having dark circles for a very long time and my skin is darkening. I tried washing my face with lemon and sometim...
Hello, Common reasons for dark circle are aging, genetics, nutritional deficiency (of vitamin A, C, K, E), sleep deprivation, worm-infestation, anemia, smoking & drinking, dehydration, sun exposure, allergies, stress/ tension and hormonal changes. Dark circles are linked to anemia, and liver diseases. So, in case of dark circles which are there due to some underlying cause can be get rid rid of once the causative factor is rectified. But the dark circles which are inherited from our genes can't be removed completely, to some extent can make slightly better. Diet and Management: Always take a balanced diet rich in green leafy vegetable, dairy products and all types of fruits to keep your body healthy. It is advisable to have at least 10-12 glasses of water and include fresh fruit daily. It is also advisable to restrict the intake of caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee, alcohol and other caffeinated drinks as it aggravates dehydration. Take enough of 6-8 hrs. Of sleep. Avoid taking stress/ tension. Do daily exercising regularly as it increases oxygen carrying capacity of the cells and tissues. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines – Schwabe's Cina 1M/ one dose at night for 10 days; Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. - both twice daily for 20 days. Revert me there after. For skin tan: Here are some tips for fairer and flawless skin: -Soak some almonds in water overnight, remove their skin in the morning and grind them. Add a teaspoon of gram fluor, one teaspoon of milk and 4 drops of lime juice. Make a paste, mix it well and apply it on your face. Regular massage gives you long lasting clear and fair skin. -Turmeric is good ingredient for skin. Make a face pack with mixture of turmeric and milk. Apply this and wash off after an hour with cold water for glowing skin. Lemon juice and glycerin work nicely for dry skin whereas fuller’s earth and turmeric are used for oily skin. -Mix papaya and honey and mash it. Apply and wash after 20 minutes. Use this face pack every other day for a naturally spotless fair skin. This pack also eliminates the sun tanning which causes patchiness on the skin and the dark spots or the pimple marks which will refrain the skin from looking spotless. -Take one tomato, grate it well and mix it with 3-4 drops of lime juice. Apply it on your face wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat it daily and feel the change on your face. -A mixture of egg white, milk cream and honey works excellent against skin tanning. Mix tomato juice with honey or yogurt and apply it daily on skin to remove tanning. -Make dilute paste of mint leaves and almond seeds with warm water. Wash your face and neck with this water and wash again with clean warm water. You can add mint leaves in regular bathing water to get glow and freshness to your skin. Use Schwabe's Skin Care soap, apply Calendula & Aloe Vera cream immediately after bathing, apply Bakson's Suncare sunscreen 20-30 min. Before going out under the sunlight. At night, use Bakson's Papaya Pack and after washing face apply it's Fairness cream. Above all, regular exercise (yoga, gymnastic, aerobics etc), intake of healthy nutritious food, keeping a positive attitude, avoiding stress/ anger/ anxiety/ fear/ jealousy/ aggressive nature as much as possible as it affects skin, its colour and glow!

Lybrate-user first of all let me assure you asthma is completely controllable and you can do all your regular activity with it if the treatment administered to you is apt and properly taken as prescribed with time to time regular follow ups. The way you are describing your problem, it seems you need to get evaluated for your lung function. There may be the requirement to escalate your therapy.
