What is difference between dengue & chicken gunia? Does these to diseases are related to each other?
Both of these diseases are the viral diseases caused by the same agent. I.e.vector and carrier are similar. Both leads to decrease in platelet count ,but more in dengue than the later one. Both are having the same types of symptoms with different types of stages with differed intensity. Such as high fever with chills ,headache, nausea, vomitting, low appetite, bones and joints pain, rashes e.t.c.but the major significant difference is in dengue bleeding is severe in latermost stage i.e.dengue haemorrhagic fever while in chickengunya the pain is too intense and severe with long lasting nature, which even hampers the daily routine of the patients. This occurs as an arthralgia i.e.severe joint pain.

Several things can be done to prevent cold: -Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. -Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough. -Get plenty of rest/sleep.Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. -Drink plenty of fluids(veg/tomato soups, dal water/coconut water/herbal tea etc), and eat nutritious food(like sprouts/milk). Avoid fatty foods or drinks with caffeine -Treatment: A cold usually lasts for a week or two. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn't need medical treatment. -Gargle to keep from getting a sore throat.Take only lukewarm water to drink during the day -Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation. -Tablet nasorest-p once/twice daily may ease breathing. -Do steam inhalation once or twice daily.

*drink lots of liquids. *papaya leaf extract: juice prepared from crushed papaya and leaves is believed as one of the best home remedies for dengue fever treatment. *high protein diet: even after recovery, patients are asked to take high protein diet to restore all the resources of vitamins, minerals, proteins and fats in the body. Eating chicken, fish, eggs and other dairy products can help patients battle the virus fast.

I am a diabetic patient having fasting sugar 300. What foods to be avoided and my daily diet measures.

I am a diabetic patient having fasting sugar 300. What foods to be avoided and my daily diet measures.
Dear lybrate-user, you are suffering diabetes with heavy amount of sugar. You avoid rice, sugar, jagger, ghee, oil, spices etc. Although there are insufficient data at present to warrant any specific recommendations for the prevention of type 2 diabetes in youth, interventions similar to those shown to be effective for prevention of type 2 diabetes in adults (lifestyle changes including reduced energy intake and regular physical activity) are likely to be beneficial. So change in life style is basic need for you.
