Premature greying of hair is quiet common nowadays due to many reasons like heredity, diet, shampoo etc. If it's a single hair you can ignore it.

My dear boy you need good counseling session. Whatever the symptoms you are speaking about are very vague and nonspecific. Some medicines also can be prescribed to you but after your personality analysis. Will be able to get rid of these things and will be able to concentrate on studies and remember the things easily and for long lasting period. We together will be able to strengthen your memory and recalling power. Regards.

Hi doc my son is 15 months old. His birth weight was 2. 75 and now he is 8. 8kg. Is this weight ok. He didn't like to drink any liquid fud except water. Eats other food normally but not sleeping properly. In day time he refuses to sleep. I manage him to sleep somehow for an hr else 2. Please help me in gaining his weight and to've a proper sleep.

M.D.( Pediatrics), DCH
Pediatrician,
Weight, body frame of child depends on so many things including genes. So unless child has lost weight because of illness his weight can't be increased to desired level of parents. Your son's weight is in lower range of normal. Give him healthy food and respect his wishes. You can't control him. Let him sleep or play, it must be his choice. If he is playfull obviously there is nothing wrong with him. Get his hb% done if required you can start iron supplements.

He does not need any medicines at all.Correct councelling is needed to manage his behaviour disorder. To begin with,do not get disturbed ,only you can correct his behaviour, Accept & appreciate all good done by him. Never scold or slap for wrong doings but never accept his undue demands.Offer him foods at 2-3 hours but never force even he does not eat for a day.Talk to him without any prejudice.Soon he realises that his undue demands will not be fulfilled & appreciated for good .

Few reasons - check abdomen for intestinal colic - any inflammation in the tip of urinary / anal opening - any pathology in the ears - excessive hunger - incomplete feeding And after pinpointing the cause we can plan treatment accordingly.

If it is specific smell she should be examined for certain diseases. Otherwise you take care to give bath twice or thrice. You can show a doctor for some tests to rule out certain diseases like metabolic diseases.

My daughter aged 10 year is suffering from slow stomach pain since last one month. Her pain starts at morning and remain for 5 to 10 mins and similarly after taking lunch and dinner for 5 to 10 min. I have done ultrasound test and it was normal. But last three days she could not able to sleep and her stomach pain going continue. Please advise me what to do?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Usually children tell abdominal pain as attention seeking device and if tests are normal you have to think of it. If pain is sever you can give drugs like cyclopam and see. Speak to her caringly and inform me.

I can understand your worries constipation is a major problem in childhood if left unattended can cause serious consequences. Remember:- 1) passing motion in any position other then squatting is bad and causing small small ulceration or fissure which is commonest cause of constipation:- so avoid. Use potty chairs. 2) have plenty of raw fibres in diet and plenty of water 3) have fruits in natural form (not juices) 4) use stool softeners available in market for at least 3 days a week or till stool becomes soft. 5) constipation is vicious cycle you need to stop it somewhere.

This might be related to some muscle catch/cramp. Withhold running for few days and let your body rest. Can apply some pain relieving ointment like volini and massage.

Please check her blood re and tft and send me the reports. Throwing away medicines is common among children as they do not like the taste or dislike being forced upon. You remain in touch with me as you need regular advice as a personal doctor for advice in your preterm baby care. Send reports as I said.

Your doctor has rightly advise not to force feed. If baby is normal, there is no need to force for feeding. even don't ask repeatedly for feed. it is reasonable to ask only once at meal time. leave her to choose item of her choice whenever n what ever she wants.
