Gender reassignment surgery needs full work up and a long follow up not only post but also pre surgery. You will need to visit a psychiatrist to begin with. Only when you have had hormone therapy for some duration and have been followed up for one year can any surgery be initiated. Please get in touch with a plastic surgeon there. He/ she may be able to guide you.

How to Deal With Pain After Delivery and Labour

Pregnancy brings with it not only joy and celebrations, but also a lot of physical pain for the mother. This is not unexpected as the body has gone through a lot of transformation to nurture the baby within for almost 9 months and then finally deliver the baby. Whether it is a natural delivery or cesarean section, the immediate period after childbirth has a lot of pain to manage. Let us look at some of the major pains and ways to manage them - broadly categorized into abdominal and breastfeeding pain.

Abdominal pain. In the abdominal area, there are different areas that experience pain due to different reasons and need to be managed well.

Incision pain: If you had a cesarean section, then the incisions will itch and pain. Pain killers can be used for relief but the incisions will take some months to completely become normal. If there are associated symptoms like redness or bleeding, then it is a cause for concern.

Uterine contractions: With the uterus shrinking back to its original size after delivery, there are lot of contractions which can be painful. This will subside over the next few days but can be severe and take longer for second and third deliveries. This should be completely gone by the sixth week checkup.

Vaginal or perineal pain: If you have had normal delivery, then there would be an enormous amount of pressure in the vaginal and perineal (area between the vagina and anus) areas. There could even be tear in some cases (created by the doctor or accidental during birth) and would need repair. This can be more severe compared to other pains and will take longer to disappear. There could also be dryness in some women. The following will help ease the pain:

  1. Ease the pressure on the bottom by lying down as much as possible and resting
  2. Apply a cold gel pad to the area
  3. Warm baths
  4. Pelvic floor exercise which help healing by improving blood flow
  5. Use warm water to wash the area and pat dry to reduce the itching sensation
  6. Keep the area clean to avoid infection both to yourself and the baby
  7. opical creams may be used in some areas to relieve both the pain and the itching

Breastfeeding pain: An improper latch (the way the infant sucks) can lead to breastfeeding pain. A lactation consultant or a nurse can help train the mother and the infant. Breasts filled up with milk can also lead to painful, engorged feeling. Breast pumping or hand pumping can help relieve the pain.

These pains, though not deniable, can be managed with a little extra care so you can enjoy the newfound joy of motherhood.

You have burning and itching in vagina. I advise you to do urine routine test of first urine in the morning and watch for pus cells and send the report for diagnosis and treatment.

Hello, It is too early for urine pregnancy test. Please get a serum beta hcg test done to rule out pregnancy.

Can I take egg Omlet or not , we are planning for baby, so help me out. And what is the chances of conceiving we have done intercourse on 28th done at 8: 30 pm, on 30th done at 2: 30 am means night of 29th and on 31st done at 4 am. Hello, there are no particular foods which can help you conceive, so you may eat anything you wish. Secondly frequent intercourses should be planned near ovulation to increase chances of conception. Wait for your missed periods and then get a serum beta hcg test done to check for pregnancy.

Hi. A woman’s libido is the desire for sexual intercourse. Common causes of lack of sexual desire include exhaustion, poor self-esteem, or an unhappy relationship. A significant cause may be hormone imbalance from childbirth, chemical birth control or other hormonal changes. Stress, melancholy along with getting older are normal cause. Medication: Take Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. - both thrice daily. Management: Talk openly with your partner about your sexual dysfunction Daily exercise is helpful to increase sexual drive Try to keep your body free from obesity Take a balance diet filled with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit Learn to relax and de-stress by meditating Stop smoking Alcohol has bad affects to sexual function and desire Try to reduce the drinking of alcohol Avoid illegal and powerful sexual drugs Practice pranayam regularly for half an hour preferably in a garden early in the morning. Also, practice Pelvic floor exercise or Kegel exercise, consists of repeatedly contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor. In order to locate your pelvic muscles try to stop and begin the flow of urine as using the bathroom. You can perform Kegel exercises with the empty bladder as exercising pelvic muscle with the full bladder might result in urinary tract infections. Kegel exercises are employed to strengthen the pubococcygeal muscle and other muscle s of the pelvic diaphragm. Kegels can help men achieve stronger erections, maintain healthy hips, and gain greater control over ejaculation. The objective of this may be similar to that of the exercise in women with weakened pelvic floor: to increase bladder and bowel control and sexual function. Foods which increases sex drive: The truth is, there are certain vitamins and minerals that can give your sex drive a boost. After all, you need nutrients to enable your body to function properly, including because they are the building blocks of life, but they also allow you to have the best sex of your life without spoiling the fun. These includes Vitamin C (lemons, oranges, limes, kiwis, peas, potatoes, peppers, berries, grapefruit, melons and Brussel sprouts), Folic acid (avocado, sunflower seeds, asparagus, cauliflower, romaine lettuce, beets, celery, corn, almonds, peanuts and spinach), Vitamin B (brown rice, peanuts, paprika, chicken, baked potatoes, bananas, tomatoes), Vitamin E (spinach, asparagus, whole grain breads, broccoli, tomatoes, egg yolks, walnuts, chickpeas and sweet potato). Zinc deficiency means unhealthy sex life. So, eat lots of brown rice, flax seeds, pork, squash seeds, dark chocolate, oysters, garlic, crab, wheat germ, lobster, egg yolks, and kidney beans. Magnesium is a “mineral aphrodisiac,” because of its ability to increase your sex drive and performance in bed. At the same time, this nutrient helps produce sex hormones that are responsible for your urges down there, so add rice, wheat, almonds, sage, pumpkin seeds, cocoa powder flax seeds, squash seeds, sage, basil and dry roasted soybeans At the end, make sure you eat enough Selenium in your diet - sunflower seeds, flounder, salmon, Brazil nuts, scallops, liver, pork, chicken, barley, onions, brown rice and sardines to reach optimal levels of this essential nutrient.

Drinking water doesn't harm but yes she should take treatment for discharge you can give her tab forcan 150mg weekly for four weeks and cap hepatoglobin once daily for three months to recover from it.

Hello, a menses between 23-35 days cycle is considered normal. So thats not the cause of concern. You need to track your fertile period and have intercourse during that period which shall increase your chances of pregnancy.

Legally your entiled get mtp up to 20 weeks please consult gynec. You will may need admission for24-48 hours in clinic but it should not be for gender selection.

1] morning sickness[ vomiting in pregnancy] is caused due to less blood sugar level in the morning. Take some glucose biscuit on the bed on awakening before getting out of bed. This will give you relief. 2] if you can not eat enough at a time then take small frequent meals. Do not remain empty stomach for more then 3 hrs. 3] take sips of glucose water three or four times in a day. 4] eat one apple daily for betterment of baby. 5] now you should start calcium supplement if you can not drink milk.

Common causes for irregular periods can be hormonal changes primary or secondary to certain conditions such as pcod. You can do a few hormonal tests and an ultrasonography to rule it out. When you are trying for pregnancy you can aim for better and precise follicular growth (with tablets or inj.) which can be monitered on sonography rather than aiming for regularising the periods. When good follicle is formed (and provided that the tubes are normally patent) you can induce the rupture of the follicle and try naturally or with iui.

No chance of pregnancy. It is due to sideeffects of Ipills. As ipills r Harmonal pills they disturb the normal Harmonal level in body . So when they r consumed then the periods get early or late. Don't take ipills on regular basis. If Periods r disturb more for 1-2 months or if any other sideeffects is present like heavy bleeding u should take the treatment. Consult if require any help.
