Dear Lybrate user, It is a usual problem with many females which usually gets better with marriage. Dysmenorrhea (pain during menstruation cycles) is of two types: 1. Primary: most common in young females with camps in the lower belly which usually starts from 1–2 days before your period begins & lasts 2–4 days. 2. Secondary: Which is due to some medical condition like endometriosis when the inner lining of the uterus is affected. Sir, I am suffering from fever till night please help me in solving this problem.

1. Take one tablet of crocin advance as and when required upto a maximum of three tablets daily after food 2. Cold sponging sos 3. Drink plenty of water 4. Take rest 5. If no relief do blood examination like esr, cbc, widal/ typhidot test, blood for mp/malaria antigen and dengue antigen (ns1) test, urine re/me after consulting physician and follow the advice and treatment.

Hi. I suffer from acidity twice or thrice in week especially when I eat fried food or take tea. Sometimes I can not control myself taking tea or fried food. I am 30 years old. To combat with acidity I take pantoprazole 40 mg once or twice day as and when I get acidity symptoms and it works for me. I want to ask can I continue like this? Is it safe to take pantoprazole 40 mg twice or thrice in week. Any long term side effect.

You must not take antacids for a longer period. Here is a good reason for this. When stomach acid is removed either by neutralizing it or by blocking it's production, the body experiences a gradual health decline due to mal-absorption of nutrients. For instance, low stomach acid impairs the body's ability to absorb calcium. Mal-absorption of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) has also been linked to impaired nerve and brain function. Other nutrients that are mal-absorbed due to low stomach acid levels include: iron, magnesium, selenium, zinc, folic acid, vitamins A, thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B6), riboflavin (B6), and E. Long-term use often leads the body to compensate by producing more of the hormone "gastrin" This hormone signals the stomach to increase acid production acid. Excessive levels of gastrin have been linked to the growth of esophageal, pancreatic, and gastric cancer cells. Most dangerous of all is the weakening of the natural anti-microbial action of stomach acid. Another risk is that antacid drugs can facilitate a common food borne illness including salmonella infection.

It is considered that one week before and one week immediately after the cycle is comparatively safer period considering first day of the period as day one but remember as such there is no safe period as 2% chances of conception are always there.

Throat Paning and cough since last 1 week. Its hard to swallow even fluids/saliva. Tablets. Syrups not helfull. Wats the reason? And remedies for it?

You are having pharyngitis/throat infection. Gargling with warm salt water is an effective way to treat a sore throat. Salt can even help kill the bacteria or virus causing pharyngitis. Mix three teaspoons of salt (preferably sea salt) in two cups of warm water. Gargle with this solution. Do not swallow it. Spit the water out after gargling. Do this several times daily for one to two days. Also take belladonna 30 - thrice daily for next 3 days.

Back. Do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Cholesterol in the yolk may contribute to a higher risk of heart disease and diabetes, which makes egg whites a healthier option. Steel cut and traditional oatmeal, cooked slowly, is a better choice than other types of oatmeal as it is less likely to spike blood sugar. Small portions and adding protein can help.

Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer.
