stop doing frequent, masturbation in a week is ok, in majority of cases , it is totally treatable, you need counseling , need change in life style, leave smoking, avoid alcohol, keep your bp and sugar level under control, reduce your wt, go for morning walk for 1 hr, do exercise regularly,you will be alright, it will help. hot water fomentation and apply volini locally, can take tab dolo sos. it will help. I've been playing cricket from last one month and my knee is playing severely while running What to do please help.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

I am 32 years old male iam suffering from knee pain from last 2year, when I walk for 20 to 30 min continuously the problem arises or when I am climbing steps iam facing the problem severely for left leg.

Knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages. Knee pain may be the result of an injury or some other medical conditions including arthritis, patellar tendinitis, acl injury, knee bursitis, torn meniscus, gout and infections. From your symptoms it seems like you are developing osteo arthritis (oa) of knee. Try some home remedies for your pain relief: -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport -use hot or cold packs. By increasing blood flow, hot compresses can ease pain and stiffness. Cold compresses reduce swelling. You may want to experiment with heat versus cold packs to see what works best for you. -stay active, physical activity is one of the best ways to improve your quality of life. Exercise boosts your energy. It can also strengthen your muscles and bones, and help keep your joints flexible. Try resistance training to build stronger muscles. - quads strengthening exercises are helpful oa knee. You need detail assessment with a physiotherapist to find out the diagnosis and for pain management. Best wishes.

I'm a 36 yrs old male, I suffered the posterior horn medial meniscus tear grade 2 in both knees 13 yrs ago & managed it with conservative therapy, know my knees feel more stiffer, please advice for treatment, nutrition etc.

Follow these usefultips for knee pain relief: * take calcium rich diet daily. Take a glass (300 ml) of full cream milk daily or 100 gm of cheese or 1-2 eggs regularly. * do not do heavy leg exercises like running. * wear knee cap or wrap crape bandage during walk for knee support. * sit atleast for 5-8 minutes in sunlight in morning or evening for vitamin-D. *avoid heal shoe and wear only flat shoes for balanced load on knees. * check out your blood sugar level and hemoglobin level in every 6 months.* if you have any history of rheumatoid arthritis in family then checkout your ra factor. * take guggalu tablets if himalaya one tablet daily for atleast 3 months. * take a piece of garlic, crush it and boil it a glass of milk and drink daily for fast pain relief.

Hi, I was experiencing numbness in my extremities (only when sitting in awkward position or if I put pressure on them) since the last two years when I started gaining weight. I have gained almost 30 kg in the last 2 years from 62 to 92 kg. I had my blood sugar, thyroid and Nerve Conduction Velocity tested. All came out to be OK except vitamin b12 deficiency which was severe. I have some fatigue and short term memory problems. Please advice me on the best method to tackle this problem.

Hello sir being a dietitian I can help you in weight loss, for vitamin b 12 deficiency you can ask your Dr. About its injection, its very effective. Hello you need to understand the concept of weight loss, it requires cut down in calories (under the guidance of dietician) along with exercises like brisk walking or cycling or yoga and stretching 5 days a week for at-least 25-30 mins. Include foods like green tea, lemon water, jeera water, salad vegetables like onion, tomato, cucumber, kakri, cabbage and fruits like melon, watermelon, plums. Avoid fried foods, carbonated drinks, sweets and processed foods. Drink plenty of water. Take small and regular meals like 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Take chamomile tea before going to bed. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Don't skip breakfast. Thank you.

There is no direct relation between rheumatoid arthritis & food. Take your usual normal diet. Make sure you don't put on extra weight. Take care of your thyroid over activity.

Suffering from weakness & pain cum lacking sensitivity in the left leg from pelvic joint to foot. Please help in economic remedy.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated.

SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Please elaborate on your problem. Is it more on bending forwards, lifting heavy weights, is it more during any time of the day, is it associated with weight loss or fever? in the meanwhile hot water fomentation with water bags for 3-4 times a day, bed rest for 2-3 days and follow it up with back and core strengthening exercises suggested by a physiotherapist.

Dear lybrateuser, - Avoid movement of the thumb till pain subsides - do warm water fomentation twice a day - apply pain relief gel three times a day - take a pain relief tablet after meals if pain is more - do an x-ray of the area to rule out any other problem.
