Hi lybrate-user, headache may be because of hundreds of reasons ranging from intracranial tumors to simple gastritis. You should see a pain specialist/ physician. Do not take disprin every now & then. Don't self-medicate.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

I have problem in my nose their is balgam in my nose every time it is almost 3 years I am facing this. And the balgam is of green colour it is hard. Some times it blocks my nose I can't breath properly. I consulted doctor 2 year back. Their was no sinus and he told it is allergies when he gave medicines their was pimples on my forehead. do one thing have steam frequently by covering with blanket and use nasal decongestant sprays or drops during night times if you ciuld nt breath properly..stay away from dust and polluted areas..dont come outside in the early morning hours..donot take cold drinks chocolates ice creams untill you completely cure..

If you want to stop masturbating do not look at porn & get your mind off of it. If you still get the urge to, ignore it for a about 15 minutes & it'll go away. Masturbating from time to time is completely normal for a guy. Relax and try to concentrate on your studies and/or sports that you are good at. That will help you to avoiding thinking about sex all the time.

Different types of fever and thier diagnosis

The nature of the type of the fever and the duration should be considered as there are many types which could help narrow down the differential diagnosis you are considering.

Continuous fever: Where the temperature remains above normal throughout a 24-hour period and does not fluctuate more than 1 degree Celsius in 24 hours. This type of fever occurs in lobar pneumonia, typhoid, urinary tract infection, infective endocarditis, brucellosis, and typhus.

Remittent fever: The temperature remains above normal throughout the day and fluctuates more than 2 degree Celsius in 24 hours. This type is seen in patients with typhoid fever and infective endocarditis.

Pel-Ebstein fever: There is a regular alternation of recurrent bouts of fever and febrile periods. The temperature may take 3 days to rise, remain high for 3 days and then remits over 3 days. The patient could then be apyrexial for 9 days.

Intermittent fever: In a 24 hour period the temperature is only present for some hours of the day and the rest of the time is normal. The spike can occur same time each day, every other day or every few days but is normally in a repetitive pattern. Examples of some diseases which have an intermittent fever are malaria, pyemia, and septicemia.

Septic fever: A very high temperature which doesn't improve with antipyretics can indicate a septic fever and the patient should be seen quickly and reviewed to prevent any further deterioration in their state of health.

Cyclical recurrent fevers or periodic fevers: These are recurrences of fever which last from a few days to a few weeks and are separated by symptom-free intervals. This pattern of fever can be caused by recurrent infection, malignancy or non-infectious inflammatory diseases. Attacks of fever which follow the same course normally have a non-infectious cause like Still's disease, Rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease and Bechet's syndrome. A family history of periodic fever could indicate Familial Mediterranean Fever or Hyper-IgD syndrome.

migrane can be managed with lifestyle changes and medications, try muscle relaxation exercises. Relaxation may help ease the pain of a migraine headache. Get enough sleep, but don't oversleep. Get an adequate amount of sleep each night. It's best to go to bed and wake up at regular times, as well. Rest and relax. If possible, rest in a dark, quiet room when you feel a headache coming on. Place an ice pack wrapped in a cloth on the back of your neck and apply gentle pressure to painful areas on your scalp. It is very important keep a headache diary. Continue keeping your headache diary even after you see doctor. It will help you learn more about what triggers your migraines and what treatment is most effective. A dose of riboflavin in appropriate dose as prescribed by me, also may prevent migraines or reduce the frequency of headaches. Coenzyme q10 supplements may decrease the frequency of migraines, magnesium supplements may also be used to treat migraines do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

The first thing you need to understand is that when you gain weight you’re either gaining muscle or you’re gaining fat. So the healthiest way to gain weight is by putting on lean muscle, which means while you’re going to be eating more, you need to be conscious of what you’re eating. Take foods high in protein, fat, and carbs (carbs on days you’re working out) and trying to stay away from foods high in sugar, especially added sugar. This being because a lot of the sugar we eat gets metabolized into fat, and high-blood sugar levels have been linked to metabolic syndrome, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss, and even premature aging. My uncle, aged 58 years, has been detected with pneumonia since last 10 days. He is hospitalised. His blood reports and other reports are showing good improvements. But still he gets fever of around 102 degree every day.

Dear , the fever may take some time to reduce. Let him complete at least 14 days of antibiotics and then we can see. If he is showing improvement on laboratory parameters that is also a good sign. Just wait for 2 weeks.
