Dear frozen shoulder at your age is common with diabeties. Check the status of your diabeties first. If your blood glucose levels are with in limit and hba1c levels are normal then you check consult an orthopedic surgeon. You need regular exercises, hot fomantations for a very long periods with a course of analgesics for a short period as advised by an orthopedic surgeon. You have to take this seriously otherwise the frozen shoulder will worsen to the extent that the movements are restricted severely.

I m surfing from my skin my skin is very oily I m surfing pimples please sajes me what can I do.
These are the methods to treat fastly pimples: • Imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day.

Neck Pain at Work - 6 Tips to Help You Prevent it

MBBS
General Physician, Ahmednagar
Neck Pain at Work - 6 Tips to Help You Prevent it

Neck pain is fairly common among adults. It results from the soft tissues such as ligaments, muscles and tendons. It can result from spasms and muscle strain from neck problems such as disc degeneration and spinal stenosis. Be it a chronic pain or a sudden one, addressing it is important to get on with the daily office life.

Here is a list of some quick solutions, which when followed can give considerable relief from the pain:

  1. Computer should be at eye level: While sitting at it you must ensure that the middle of the computer screen is parallel to the eye. If it is required that you bend your neck to view the screen, then you should adjust the screen, without bending your neck. This happens most often while working with a laptop. The chair length can be adjusted to fix this problem.
  2. Refrain from neck straining while typing: If typing requires straining the neck, it should be ensured that the same doesn’t happen. This is the case while texting in a mobile. A better solution is to fix this is to take the mobile at a level which does not require the neck bend down. It will ensure that the joints and discs of the neck are not stressed.
  3. Use headset: If the work demands longer time on the phone, instead of bending the neck it makes sense to use a headset. Practicing the chin tuck exercise can help in this case. This exercise can strengthen the soft muscles of the neck. It also maintains the alignment of the head and the shoulder.
  4. Stay hydrated: Enough hydration is necessary to ensure spinal alignment and disc height. Hydration also takes a eases the spine and relaxes the soft muscles. A practice of adequate hydration throughout the day can help stop the degeneration of the cervical disc. While drinking water is a matter of practice, keeping a water bottle serves as a constant reminder to drink it throughout the day. Keeping an alarm after 2 hours also serves as a constant reminder to drink water.
  5. Carrying weight: One common mistake committed by most people is to carry weight with one hand. Since the load doesn’t distribute evenly, it strains the neck muscles causing pain. It should be ensured that the office briefcase or the heavy purse is carried with equal stress on both the shoulders. This will ensure a painless day at the office.
  6. Maintaining a good posture: Poor sitting or walking posture is often the cause of neck pain. While sitting it should be ensured that the back is straight and rests in the chair once in awhile. The neck and head should fall in a line while working. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Lybrate-user it seems you are suffering from insomnia & severe headache. There are many reason of such problems like stress, depression, anxiety, lack of sleep, lack of healthy diet, tension of work, overwork, bitter relationships etc. You are suffering from headache because you have not slept for two days. Like our body our mind also needs rest. I would give you a natural remedy that will help you to sleep sound. There are 2 kinds of tulsi leaves we come across. One is" ram tulsi" (which is lighter in shade) and the other one is" shyam tulsi" (which is darker in shade) you have to consume 10-15 leaves of" shyam tulsi" which means the leaves with darker shade. Take 10 to 15 leaves of shyam tulsi and grind it into a paste. Boil this paste in 200 ml of water until the water comes down to the level of 100 ml. Consume this water chewing the leave remains daily in 3 installments without break. I guarantee you that you will feel better after instantly. Besides natural remedies doesn't even have any side effects along with them. Besides keep yourself warm and away from cold/heat.

Hyperacidity is easy to cure if you give little attention!

MBBS, DMCH, DEM
General Physician, Jaipur
Hyperacidity is easy to cure if you give little attention!

One of the most common gastric problems faced by people is hyperacidity. The stomach normally secretes acids, which are essential for the digestion of food. However, due to various reasons, there could be excessive acid secretion or the secreted acid not utilized well. This could lead to acidity or reflux of the acid, which also causes other symptoms, as listed below.

  1. Dyspepsia: This queasy stomach feeling leads to nausea, burping, bloating, and abdominal pain, especially in the upper region.
  2. Regurgitation: This is when the contents of the stomach come up into the throat, and sometimes even lead to vomiting. This could leave a bad taste in the mouth.
  3. Heartburn: The regurgitated acid can lead to a burning sensation in the chest/upper abdominal area.

The acid that is usually contained within the stomach can regurgitate and reach the esophagus, where it can damage the lining, even leading to ulcers.

Reasons for hyperacidity:

Though it is a chronic condition, there could be episodes when the acidity feeling is quite high.

  1. After a heavy meal: Food in the stomach promotes acid production, and too much food causes excessive acid production.
  2. When the valve that controls reflux of acid into the esophagus is weak, there could be a release of acid on bending over or lying on the back, leading to heartburn.
  3. Too much stress leads to excessive acid production, again causing hyperacidity.
  4. Pregnancy may cause hyperacidity.

Management:

Hyperacidity is a chronic condition, but can definitely be managed through prevention and cure.

  1. Prevention: Different people have different triggers and a pattern is usually identifiable. When you know the triggers, try avoiding them. This includes avoiding the food items which cause (caffeine, chocolate, smoking, alcohol, fried foods, nuts, etc.) acidity. Smoking especially aggravates hyperacidity and so does stress.
  2. Home remedies: Some of the common home remedies used by people are listed below:
    • Ripe banana, with its rich potassium content, beats the acid and provides relief.
    • A cup of cold milk absorbs excessive acid and provides relief.
    • Jeera relieves gas, promotes saliva, and soothes the stomach lining.
    • Elaichi or cardamom relieves spasms caused by acid and reduces the effect of acid.
    • Pudina or mint reduces acid and has a cooling effect on the stomach.
    • Alma or gooseberry is rich in vitamin C and helps control acidity.
    • Cloves stimulate salivation and improve movement of food through the stomach.
  3. Other Tips: In addition, the following measures are also helpful.
    • Not lying down soon after a meal
    • Keeping a moderate meal portion
    • Sitting for a while after eating (no movement)
    • Avoiding spicy food
    • Avoid large meals

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a general physician.

Dear patient, The cause forBrown or dark circles or dark spot is the result of hyper pigmentation, triggered by chronic eye-rubbing, sun exposure, or genetics. They are most prevalent among Asian skin tones. OTC treatments:Your best bet is daily use of a "SpotNil" lotion which is a skin brightener, which can lighten circles over a period of four to six weeks. Avoid hydroquinone as most dermatologists agree that it?s too heavy-duty for the sensitive skin. Homeopathic Medicines are 100% safe and effective. Revert back with feedback after 1 week of using SpotNil lotion. For further assistance you can concern me privately.
