Hye. You cannot target one body part. You have to work on overall loss. You can include the following exercises into your exercise routine. Just these exercises won't help. It has to be a part of the exercises you are doing for overall loss. Exercises To Reduce Stomach Fat1)    Crunches: There is no better exercise that you can think of to reduce belly fat than crunches. It will help you to easily burn stomach fat and if this exercise is coupled with a proper diet intake, then you can see effective results in quick time. Lie flat on your back on a mat. Bent your knees with your feet touching the ground.Now place your hands just behind your head.Take a deep breath and lift your upper body off the floor. You need to exhale when you are lifting your body.When you bring your body back to its original position you need to inhale. Once you come up you need to exhale.Do this for 10 times and then repeat for two or three more sets.2)    Reverse Crunches This is another exercise that will help you to easily get rid of stomach fat. Lie with your back on a mat. Raise your knees with the feet planted on the ground.Keep both the hands on either side of your body.Push your feet in such a way that your thighs are perpendicular to the ground and your feet are off the ground.Now lift your back such that your knees bend towards your chest.Inhale when you plant your feet on the ground and exhale when you lift your back and move your knees towards the chest.Repeat this for 10 times and for two more sets.3)    Twist Crunches This exercise routine is very similar to crunch exercise and here you will have to rotate your shoulder in the direction of the other shoulder. Lie down on the mat with your hands behind your head.Bend your knees and make sure that the feet do not touch the ground.Now move your upper body towards your knees like the crunch exercise. But, here you will have to make sure that you twist your right shoulder towards your left and the left torso must be on the ground.Repeat the same way on the other side. Here, you lift your left shoulder towards the right with the right torso resting on the ground.Repeat the same procedure for 10 to 12 times.4)    Vertical Leg CrunchLie with your back on the mat or the floor. Extend both your legs towards the ceiling and make sure that you cross one knee over the other.Now repeat the same what you have done in the crunch exercise.Breathe in when you lift and cross the knees and breathe out when you move your upper body towards your knees.Repeat this vertical crunch exercise for 10 to 15 times for three consecutive sets.5)    Side Crunches The side crunches will also help you to shed excess belly fat and will also help in providing a proper workout for your love handles. It is very much similar to the twist crunch exercise. The only difference here is that you will have to lift your right leg up when you are tilting your left shoulder towards the right shoulder and vice versa. Repeat for 10 to 12 times each side for 2 consecutive sets. 6)    Bicycle Exercise This is yet another exercise that will help you to shed excess fat round your belly area easily. Lie flat on the floor or the mat and keep both the hands on either side of your head.Now lift both your legs from the ground and bend them at your knees.Now pull your right knee close to your chest with your left leg out. When you are bringing the right knee up you can try to meet your left elbow with your right knee to have a perfect stomach crunch.Now take your right leg out and bring your left knee close to your chest. Now, lift your upper body and make sure that your right elbow touches your left knee for a perfect crunch.Repeat this for 10 to 12 times for both the sides and for two consecutive sets.7)    Rolling Plank Exercise The rolling plank exercise is another popular exercise that will work great on your lower back, hip and abdomen areas. Take your position on the floor or a mat in such a way that your knees and elbows are resting on the ground.You need to look forward so that your neck is aligned with your spine.Now lift the knees up so that you support your legs now on your toes.Now contract your knees and keep it in this plank pose for about 30 seconds. Make sure that you breathe normally during this routine.Now move to and fro for the next half a minute to constitute a rolling plank exercise.Rolling Plank SidewaysLie on the floor in a sideways position.Support your weight on the right elbow and your right leg. Make sure that the right elbow is perpendicular to your right shoulder.Place the left leg above your right leg. Keep your knees straight and lift yourself in such a way that your hips are off the ground.Hold this position for about 30 seconds. Once you practice this position, you can hold to this position for 1 to 2 minutes.Do the same on the other side as well.8)    Lunge Twist If you are a beginner trying to work your belly to remove its excess fat, then you should first try out the lunge twist exercise. Move your left foot forward and bend your left knee. You will feel the hamstring stretch on your right leg.Now lift your hands parallel to the ground and make sure that they are in front of you.Take a big step forward with your left leg and sit down as if you are sitting on a chair. Your right leg should be positioned backwards and you must use your toes to support your right leg.Make sure that your upper body and the spine are in the upright position to perform perfect lunges.Now perform the same lunge exercise on the other leg.Repeat this for 15 times.9)    Side To Side Bending Bending side to side not just helps in reducing excess fat deposits in your stomach area, but it also helps in giving your love handles a perfect shape. Stand in an erect position with your feet together. Lift both your hands and stretch it above your head and make sure that they are clasped together.Now bend your body to your left side as much as possible until you feel a strain on your right side. Hold in this position for 15 seconds.Now come back to the same standing position.Now repeat the same on the right side. Now hold this position for about 15 seconds.Once you get comfortable holding on for 15 seconds, you can increase it to 30 seconds or more on both sides.10)    Stomach Vacuum If you are a beginner looking to do some exercises to reduce belly fat, then you should start with low impact exercises like stomach vacuum exercises. This is an exercise that concentrates mainly on breathing. Hit the ground on all fours by supporting your body on your knees and hands.Now take a deep breath and make sure that your abdomen is loose.Now exhale your breath and make sure that you hold your abdomen muscles tight during exhalation.You need to hold the abdomen contraction for about 15 to 30 seconds.Repeat this process for 15 times for two to three sets daily.11)    Captain’s Chair You will need a chair to do this exercise. It is a simple exercise that will help in reducing excess belly fat. Sit on the chair with an upright spine and straight shoulders.Place both your hands on either side with the palms of the hands facing downwards. Take a deep breath.Now as you exhale, make sure that you bring both your legs upwards such that your knees are very close to the chest.Hold in this position for 5 to 10 seconds. Do not arch your back or bend forwards when your knees are close to your chest.Now bring your legs back to the ground and repeat the same process for 15 times.

Increase your folic acid intake. Folic acid is vital for hair health and growth. Include food with high folic acid in your diet. Add soybeans, green vegetables, and carrots to your daily menu.

You have neck muscle spasm. Try hot water fomentation by hot water bottle or steamed towels. Also you can take some pain killer tablet to soothe down the spasm.

Hello Lybrate user. Thank you for sharing your health concern. Centralized obesity (belly fat) mainly due to absence of physical activity. Other causes may be sleeping during the day, intake of Kapha - increasing foods (heavy, sweet, cooling and unctuous food in excess). Over intake of food. Heredity and Pathology are rare causes. Tips to reduce Fat formation •Avoid excess eating, eating during indigestion or just after taking pervious meal. •Avoid day sleeping; sleep in the night after one hour of your dinner. •Do regular exercise like brisk walking (at least), running, swimming etc. Avoid sedentary and lethargic lifestyle. •Avoid eating excess sweets. Have lowfat /skim dairy products. Avoid product like chocolates, ice creams, cheese, paneer, sugar etc. •Take non-vegetarian food like chicken, fishes, eggs, meats etc. In moderate quantity. Remove fat from meat & skin from chicken. •Try to minimise excess oil & ghee in cooking, Use a non-stick pan for cooking. Avoid hydrogenated vegetable oils, Instead of frying things try to consume roasted things & change your cooking techniques a little. Grill or bake food instead of frying, cook vegetables without fat by steaming and boiling. •Use low fat spreads and chutney on wheat bread instead of butter and cheese. •Don't consume excess alcoholic drinks or water on empty stomach. •Avoid aerated drinks and excess water after meal. •Intake of fat and carbohydrates should be restricted. Rx Triphala ras 10 ml twice a day diluting with warm water Medohara guggulu 2 twice a day a/f for 3 weeks. For UTI Neeri tab 1 thrice A day a/f for 5 days.

Hello. These are signs of early osteoarthritis. The pressure on your knees increase a number of times when you squat in an indian style toilet or sit cross-legged. Try to shift to a western type toilet if you don't want a very painful knee at an early age. Apart from this you need quadriceps strengthening exercises to keep your knees pain free. Good luck.

Use b&t anti- dandruff shampoo b &t antidandruff oil for 1 month. Advise = take a high protein diet. Wash your hair alternate day apply oil at night. After month revert me forfurther treatment.

पवित्र तुलसी (जिसे तुलसी या ओक्रिमम गर्भगृह भी कहा जाता है) एक आयुर्वेदिक जड़ी बूटी है जिसका ऐतिहासिक रूप से विभिन्न प्रकार की बीमारियों के उपचार के लिए उपयोग किया गया है। तुलसी सामान्यतः पूरक रूप में या तुलसी चाय के रूप में लिया जाता है। तुलसी को एक अनुकूलन के रूप में माना जाता है। यह चिंता, अधिवृक्क थकान, हाइपोथायरायडिज्म, असंतुलित रक्त शर्करा और मुँहासे के लिए एक प्राकृतिक उपाय के रूप में प्रयोग किया जाता है।
मुख्य रूप से तुलसी की चाय प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली, श्वसन प्रणाली, पाचन तंत्र और तंत्रिका तंत्र का समर्थन करती है। इसमें रोगाणुरोधी और इम्यूनो-मॉडुलेटरी गुण हैं।
 

तुलसी के लाभ
तुलसी लेने के कुछ फायदे निम्नलिखित हैं:

2. मधुमेह के लिए: तुलसी में रक्त शर्करा का स्तर नियंत्रित करने की क्षमता है। तुलसी रक्त ग्लूकोज को कम कर सकता है, असामान्य लिपिड प्रोफाइल को सही कर सकता है और जिगर और गुर्दे को उच्च ग्लूकोज के स्तरों के कारण होने वाले चयापचय क्षति से बचा सकता है।
3. हार्मोनल संतुलन: तुलसी में कोर्टिसोल के स्तर को नियंत्रित करने और स्वाभाविक रूप से संतुलित हार्मोन का स्तर रखने की अद्भुत क्षमता है।

5. कैंसर से लड़ने के लिए: नियमित रूप से तुलसी का उपभोग करने पर प्रतिरक्षा-समझौता होने और कैंसर कोशिकाओं के विकास की संभावना कम होती है। अनुसंधान के अनुसार, तुलसी में फाइटोकेमिकल्स रासायनिक प्रेरित फेफड़े, यकृत, मौखिक और त्वचा के कैंसर को रोकने में मदद करता है क्योंकि वे एंटीऑक्सीडेंट गतिविधि बढ़ाते हैं, स्वस्थ जीन अभिव्यक्तियों को बदलते हैं, कैंसर कोशिका मृत्यु को प्रेरित करते हैं, सेल विकास में योगदान देने वाले रक्त वाहिका वृद्धि को रोकते हैं और मेटास्टेसिस रोकते हैं। 
तुलसी विकिरण विषाक्तता से आपके शरीर की सुरक्षा में मदद करता है और विकिरण उपचार से हुए नुकसान को भी ठीक करता है।
6. दाँतों की देखभाल के लिए: तुलसी में आपके मुंह के जीवाणुओं से लड़ने की ताकत है, जिससे दांत की समस्याएं पैदा होती हैं, जैसे कि गुहा, पट्टिका, टैटर और बुरा सांस। तुलसी के पत्ते मूह को ताज़ा रखने मे भी सहायक है।
तुलसी मुंह में अल्सर कम करने में मदद कर सकता है, और यह तंबाकू चबाने के कारण मौखिक कैंसर कोशिकाओं के विकास को रोकता है।
7. सिर दर्द के लिए: इसके शामक और निस्संक्रामक गुणों के कारण, यह एक प्राकृतिक सिरदर्द उपाय है जो माइग्रेन दर्द को दूर करने में सहायता कर सकता है। यह साइनस के दबाव के कारण सिरदर्द के लिए विशेष रूप से प्रभावी है। तुलसी व एंटी-कंजेस्टिव है और साइनस के मुद्दों के कारण हुए निर्माण और तनाव को कम करने में मदद करता है।
8. आँखों के लिए: तुलसी नेत्रश्लेष्मलाशोथ (गुलाबी आंख) और फोड़े के खिलाफ लड़ाई में मदद करता है। इसके अनुत्तेजक और सुखदायक गुणधर्म के कारण यह पर्यावरणीय क्षति और मुक्त कणों से अपनी आंखों की सुरक्षा में मदद करता है।
9. श्वसन विकार के लिए: तुलसी आम तौर पर श्वसन विकार के लगभग सभी किस्मों को कम करने में मदद करता है, जिसमें ब्रोंकाइटिस और गहरी खांसी शामिल है। तुलसी के अवयवों जैसे कि छावनी, इयूजेनॉल और सिनेओले बंद नाक और अन्य श्वसन विकारों के लक्षणों से राहत प्रदान करते हैं।

तुलसी के दुष्प्रभाव
वैसे तो तुलसी उपभोग और सामयिक उपयोग के लिए सुरक्षित है, परंतु
1. तुलसी की उच्च खपत से यूगनल स्तर बढ़ सकता है जो हमारे शरीर के लिए विषाक्त साबित हो सकता है।
2. तुलसी में हमारे शरीर के खून को पतला करने की क्षमता है। और इसलिए इसे अन्य विरोधी थक्के दवाओं के साथ नहीं लिया जाना चाहिए।

Coffee often causes adrenaline rush and can cause symptoms such as you described. Gastric irritation due to excess caffeine can cause flatulence and cramps. It's better to avoid in that case or decrease the amount you have. Hope this helps.

You should take Alfa tonic thrice a day for one month. Banana shake one glass daily for one month. Soaked raisins two fihgs nuts daily you should take. Add butter with sugar atleast 40 grams daily for one month you should add in your daily routine.

Hello to maintain a healthy lifestyle you need to adapt to following: 1. Exercise daily for 20-30 mins for 5 days a week at least. 2. Take small and regular meals like 3 main meals and 2 side meals. 3. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. 4. Don't skip breakfast. 5. Take seasonal fruits like watermelon, melon, apple, plum; nuts as snacking options as in mid meals. 6. Include seasonal vegetables like gourds, bhindi, salad vegetables like cabbage, cucumber, kakri, tomato, onion; sprouts, pulses, cow's milk and milk products and cereals like oats, dalia. 7. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. 8. Include fluids like coconut water, lemon water, diluted lassi, green tea. Thank you.

Puran Poli – Healthy or Unhealthy?

Gudi padwa is around the corner, this festive season is incomplete without puran poli right. Puran poli is a classic maharashtrian delicacy. It is a pan-griddled sweet bread stuffed with split yellow gram (channa dal) or red gram (toovar/arhar dal).

It has various regional names like paruppu poli in tamil, holige or obbattu in kannada, ubbati in konkani. The taste also varies from region to region. It is sweet and is circular like a parantha. It is a festive dessert. The stuffing is called puran and the parantha-like bread is called as poli.

But. Hold on if you think puran poli is bad think again every food has its merit and demerits, the key is to maintain moderation.

Puran poli is supposed to be a high cal food, right. It is upto you to make it healthy, use whole wheat flour instead of maida, use ghee sparingly.

Lets look at its merit:

  • Puran poli made with whole wheat flour is rich in complex carbs, fibre, gives b complex vitamins, certain minerals. Dals as we all know gives give good amount of protein, what you all will be surprised to know is that this combination of cereal i.e. wheat flour and protein from dals will provide you with good quality protein, which can be compared to egg which is considered as high biological value with almost 100% bioavailability i.e. of excellent quality. This combination provides all the required amino acids which are building blocks of protein.
  • Futher it has lot of jaggery which contains iron, cacium, potassium, phosphorus, it is releases energy slowly, as it is digested slower than sugar. Further jaggery also aids in digestion, as jaggery breaks and becomes alkaline in the digestive system.
  • Addition of green cardamom powder, saffron, nutmeg powder, mace (javantri) powder which have essential volatile oils, boosts digestion and are antispasmodic, carminative, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial.
  •  
  • Go ahead and enjoy this festive delicacy, but keep it as festive delicacy and do not gorge on it, it is to be enjoyed only during festival season.
