I am 17 years old. I started with my periods at the age of 12. Since then there has been very little growth in bust area. I am barely an A cup. Whereas other girls of my age are fully developed. Why is my growth so slow? Will the growth rate increase by any chance?

It is a myth that growth stops as soon as cycle starts, at 16 you are a growing up teenager who has her own body structure of growth, depending on genes, do not compare with others, take high protein diet like milk, curd, eggs, nuts, pulses, beans etc. Do workouts with arms like weight lifting and stretching exercises. Too much stress of negative kind affect the growth hormone. Good luck. You will gain height and structures till 21, only healthy eating that will make you stand tall oozing with confidence.

Birth Control Pills - 10 Common Side Effects of Them!

Birth Control Pills - 10 Common Side Effects of Them!

A birth control pill is commonly referred to as an oral contraceptive pill. A form of hormonal contraception and is a highly effective method of birth control. Only 1% of women experience unintended pregnancy when on the pill.

Birth control pills are of two types i.e combination pills and mini pills. Combination pills contain synthetic forms of the two hormones called oestrogen and progesterone. The mini pill only contains the hormone progesterone and is called progestin.

However, the pill does have some side effects to it. These include the following:

  1. Intermenstrual spotting: Within the first three months of starting the pill, women experience vaginal bleeding between the two period cycles.
  2. NauseaAlthough the symptoms subside after some time, some women till experience nausea for a while after taking the pill. If one consumes the pill with food or before going to bed, this can help lower the likelihood of feeling nauseous.
  3. Breast tenderness: The breasts might feel tender and enlarged after taking the pill. However, anyone who finds a lump in the breast or feels continuous pain needs to seek medical help.
  4. Headaches: Migraines and headaches are a very common phenomenon of the birth control pill. Different types and doses of these pills may result in different headache symptoms.
  5. Gaining weight: Experiencing certain fluid retention in the hip or breast area is very common. It also affects the fat cells of the body because of the oestrogen present in the pills.
  6. Mood swings: Those with a history of stress or depression might start to feel the same again. If one has that kind of a history and starts to feel emotional changes, she should consult a doctor immediately.
  7. Missing periods: It is a common side effect that after using the pill, one's period might get skipped. This is influenced by several factors including stress, depression or thyroid dysfunctions.
  8. Decreased libido: The sex drive can be widely affected by the birth control pill. Although many other factors could result in a decreased libido, but if it remains after having the pill and is persistent, one should seek medical help or consult a specialist.
  9. Vaginal discharge: There could be an increase or a decrease in the vaginal lubrication. Some people might experience vaginal discharge since it is very common. Changes in vaginal discharge never turn out to be harmful.
  10. Changes in the vision: Fluid retention due to the birth control pill can result in the swelling of corneas. Because of this, even contact lenses do not fit comfortably. Contact lens wearers should consult an ophthalmologist if their vision or lens tolerance is disturbed.

Although there are certain side effects to taking birth control pills; however, one should not abstain from taking them in the fear that they might cause certain side effects. These pills are a precautionary measure along with other protection methods and should be taken in case someone wants to avoid pregnancy at the time being.

You need to repeat this test again after 7 days and if it still comes out to be negative then this problem could be dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Wait for 7 days and abstain from intercourse, if it still persists then consult a gynaecologist in your vicinity. If the test comes out to be positive then do not wait and contact a gynaecologist immediately.

Hi , We have very good homeo treatment to irregular periods pains and heavy prolonged bleeding during periods without causing adverse effects. The treatment is very much dependent on detailed description of your complaints- Please intimate? 1. Usual gap between periods 2. Your age 3. Are you married? 4. Any thyroid problem, anemia? 5. Obesity? You may opt for private consultation giving the particulars. To start with, take the following homoeo medicines when the period is expected to commence and the pain is felt- 1. Cimicifuga 200---one dose (6 to 7 pills) in the morning 2. Magnesia phos 200---one dose ( 6 to 7 pills) in the afternoon and one in the evening (These medicines are easily available at nominal rates in any nearby Homoeopathic medical shop) You can stop medicine when the bleeding and pain subsides.. Report response after passage of one period

Go ahead. Start practice of pranayam and meditation, walks, light nutrients containing food, keep digestion well and of course socialize. No tension needed. Do not delay marriage. I recommend female sex desire booster pkg for u. Additionally I suggest high end, embelic based, enriched with gold, corals, pearls containing antioxidant lehyam made by us. This will enhance your internal power.

Hello, Internal lubrication of your partner is not secreting properly, which is causing pain, burning and irritation during sex. Use artificial lubrication during sex,use condom as its surface reduces the friction and hence minimise the pain. These are symptomatic solutions. For permanent relief start ayurvedic medicines and avoid excess of spicy and fast foods for you wife.

As u r just 14 years old, ur ovary has not started functioning properly yet. In this age this kind of irregular cycles are expected to happen which do not require any treatment. It will be auto-corrected as ur age advances. For the pain u can take any pain killers and if the pain is too severe to stop u from going to school, u can get an ultrasound done to find out any problem

U can try using a lubricant like vaseline or some coconut oil. Still working if problem persists, it might be dyspaurenia due to vaginitis (vaginal infection).
