1. Take one tablet of crocin pain relief sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2. Apply volini gel twice daily 3. Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest if you have recurrent attack of neck pain a) take x ray/mri cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b) sometimes it could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest, use soft pillow while sleeping c) do physio therapy and neck exercise after consulting physiotherapist.

Back pain 1. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Piriformis stretch 1. Lie on your back. 2. Cross your left leg over your right so that your left ankle rests on your right knee. 3. Use your hands to grab hold of your left knee and pull it gently toward the opposite shoulder. 4. Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. 5. Relax, and then repeat with the other leg. 6. Repeat this cycle 2 to 4 times.

Iong sitting is your problem tk break between in work do stretching and walk. For pain heat formation and muscle relaxant medicine for 2. Days if it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

I am 63 years old, I am having knee pain in both legs since 2 years please suggest me what I have to do come out of this problem.

This could be due to oa knee &/or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Contact me again, if needed.

Start with physiotherapy session. Use lumber spine belt. Don't sit on floor. Learn spinal exercise also.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. To answer your query, I would actually like to see a few blood investigation reports to understand what exactly is the cause of these symptoms in your case. So kindly get cbc, esr, crp, serum vitamin d, serum electrolytes and thyroid profile. Also best way to increase calcium is to take a diet rich in calcium like milk and milk products, fresh fruits and vegetables, keep your vitamin d levels good because it helps in calcium absorption etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Don't worry. 1. Take rest for 2 days from training. Continue daily activities. 2. Take healthy nutritious diet with protein, calcium and vitamins. 3. Apply cold pack on area for 10 mins 4 times a day. Apply topical painkiller creams too. 4. Take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen round the clock for 2 to 3 days. 5. Start your training again once pain is decreased and begin with stretches. Consult again if needed.

Tendinitis is inflammation of bone due to overstrain activity don't worry tk ultrasonic therapy for 10 to 15 days it will be ok only avoid overstrain ok.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.
