Hi, I am 20 days ago my right hand fractured. Plate and screw fixation surgery done by doctor. After surgery I can't use my hand as I use before till now. Right hand became too slim right now. I need better tips for bone healing and back to normal life, I already upload my x-ray report.

Hello. 4 weeks after your surgery you need to start with proper physiotherapy treatment to make your hand perform normal movements, start with mild exercise of wrist and elbow, parrafin wax bath can be applied to part. The reason your hand became slim is because of muscle wasting it is normal after surgery it will regain its proper shape after you will start with proper movements of hand.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Dear doctor, I am having severe pain in the joints of both the legs and in the back. Feeling pain the pain is from my back to my right leg through a nerve it appears. As I am having hyper acidity also, I dont take pain killers and apply ointments, thailams externally. Can you pl suggest me some good medicines without side effects and other required treatments?

This could be due to lumbar spondilosys with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days x 5days do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated.

Iam 55 and taking regular B. P. And Thyroid and both are under control. These days having backache, joint pains with some noise while standing or action. Also itching in eyes with moisture and not able to get taste of eating home made. Controlling diet also Not getting tastes and feeling tiresome. Working for I. T. Co. Weight 69 height 5.8, thyroxine 50mg. B. P. Tablet metocard xl 50 and LTK 50 are regular dose. Thyroid 4 months bk was 8.8 and now after 4 months is 2.3. B. P normal. Kindly suggest what should I do for better health and backache severe pain.

For backache -\ get a mri done to pin point the cause and site of pain. Meanwhile go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti (specialised panchakarma procedure for backpains), localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax your back muscles and give strength to your nerves and muscles of back. Also start some yogic exercises - tadasana, dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

My mom have heavy pain in knee and foot. Once she had steroid injection in her foot at the calcaneous bone region. At that time it was okay and after 2 months, it had developed again. She daily walks to some distance to school, she's a teacher, and so she stands for the whole day and at home she stands in kitchen all time cooking for us. Kindly help my mom cure out of this pain.

It's a progressive disease but we can slow it down by doing normal streatching exercises do not go for though exercises with weights, need to keep an eye on the posture walking and other ADLs. Do let me know if you need any help or want more detail.

Visit a physiotherapist, you need to take electrotherapy for few days may be and then some exercises. Also, taping or compression with crepe bandage may be required.

Hello dear understand your concern. This symptoms are not due to pregnancy. Its just indigestion & anxiety. 2-3 days ups & down is happened normally also. If you want check that you are pregnant or not, you can check it after 7 days of your period date.(means if your date is 2 nd march & your period is regular, you can check it on 9th april). You can do it by pregnancy kit which available in market easily. (do it in morning by first fresh urine). I hope this helps u.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold). Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment knee is applied warm water followed by the immediate application of the knee with ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

My left knee MRI report says high grade injury with full thickness tear in mid substance of anterior cruciate ligament. Moderate amount of joint effusion extending till suprapatellar bursa. What does it mean? Treatment is only surgery or can be treated without surgery. Which type of surgery is performed? Is surgery is safe? My knee will be recovered completely after surgery? How much time surgery takes? Please provide the answer of above queries?

Your condition needs immediate Orthopaedic intervention. Yes you should go towards surgery if your Orthopaedic doctor suggest so. Joint effusion means swelling in the joint which is extended till suprapatellar bursa which is near your knee cap. Definitive treatment is surgery. Yes it is completely safe and results are good with physiotherapy rehabilitation. You will have to go through prolong physiotherapy rehabilitation program to recover completely. If it is arthroscopic surgery it will be done within sm hours and you ll be discharged in a couple of days. Surgeon can tell you the time of surgery more precisely. In my opinion in a complete rupture of ligament ,surgery should be done and 3 months of physiotherapy rehabilitation post surgery. Hope you got your answer.

hello tushar Do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min., afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. Start natural calcium supplement. Do regular stretching exercise In yoga DO BHUJANGASAN, HALASAN & SURYANAMASKAR. This will give you relief in mild to moderate cases.

Yes lybrate-user ji according to your height your weight is much much more. Your weight should be 64 kg. So you need to reduce minimum 21 kg. And for that you need to go to gym and exercise for one and half hours. Your knee pain is due to overweight and not due to exercise. And if you wil go to gym only for one hour than you will not loose your weight. So to reduce weight go to gym for obe and half hoyears along with you need to take care of your calory intake. Do not take any hard or cold drinks avoid fried food and sweets. After you loose some 9 or 10 kg they wil advice you some muscle strengthening exercise for your knee. So its a long term program. I think will take some obe year.
