Lower back pain treatment there are many treatment options that your physiotherapist will discuss with you in the treatment of your lower back pain. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have chronic back pains and you have also stated that you have taken treatment from many doctors. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Low bone density is a factor in females of your age group especially if they have had their menopause earlier but it should not cause back pain since a long time, although if you have low bmd, it will require treatment as well. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Some time I feel pain in shoulder. When I sit for long time then I feel the pain, what should I do please reply me vi...
Your shoulder pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning for 6 days.

This must be due to your muscular strain and posture and it may not be due to any other reasons. For the time being for the back pain, apply ice. Take good protein diet

I have got hurt in my waist and it is paining badly since 5 to 6 days please tell me what I do?

I have got hurt in my waist and it is paining badly since 5 to 6 days please tell me what I do?
Keep ice which will reduce the inflammation and that will there by reduce the pain Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired that can also be reason to have frequent pain in the whole body especially in the waist. Once the oxygen levels in the blood comes down it automatically leads to improper functioning of the joints and muscles. It is also due to vacuum created in the joints as once the body lacks oxygen automatically the body becomes arid and that is one reason to get frequent pain the body ie. More prone to get pain the waist. The hip muscles become tired thereby straining in a day with any physical activity might lead to waist / hip pain. And also wear MCR chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the hip while standing.
