Hi, one of my friend went to a doctor at during her periods as she was feeling dizziness from the day 1 of her period. This was not normal according to her and she had a heavy flow during the periods. She went to the doctor because on 3rd day also she was feeling light headedness the whole time and it was abnormal. Doctor has asked her to do an eye test and then followed by x ray and he also gave her some medicines which has no effect. One day after her date was over she was still feeling the same problem and no change was there and she went for eye checkup which went well. Then doctor asked her to get a x ray as he suspected that she might have cervical issue in neck. She is just 26 years old and now after day 6 doctor took her blood samples and changed medicines and asked her to wait till day 8 for the blood test reports. As per my knowledge these blood tests should be done first as it could be symptoms of anemia during her period. This is a case of careless practice from the doctor for such a simple problem. Till day 7 she is in the same condition as she was on day 1 of her period. I just want to ask from any expert. Is it normal for doctors to follow such kind of practices like giving medicines prior to blood test even though the first medication did not work. Please reply to me. I am just curious because that doctor is md.
