Before proper treatment for back pain is initiated which includes various stages in panchakarma procedure of ayurveda, low back pain may be addressed with the following to some extent: oleation, sweating at home. You may give ghee and hingwastak powder while taking meals and drink warm water, mildly purgate once or twice a week with tarunikusumakar chooran, take warm tub bath. Sitting with immersed back in warm/ hit water tub for few minutes. Massage lightly with herbal oils to strengthen muscles and alleviating pain. Oils such as mahanarayan oil is useful. Moreover specific report may be sent for specific guidelines and advise.

Generally pimples are occurring due to steroids in the body & as per the oily food in take. So try to avoid the oily food in take, wth diet restriction. Then automatically pimples will stop to form on the face, ok.

There is no short cut to fat loss. Just by taking fat burners you will not drop body fat. You have to eat clean and exercise well to achieve results. To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

Hi, you should go for 45 minutes brisk walk in the morning. Do exercise atleast 15 minutes. You should take lukewarm water with half spoon lemon in the morning. Drink more water in a day. Take sprouts and fruits. Take salad before meals. Don't skip breakfast. Don't use table salt. Take frequent meals instead of 3 big meals. To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy. Take small meals but eat something solid every 2 hours. 1. Take at least two fruits per day and one glass fruit juice. 2. Take one peanut butter sandwich daily. 3. Eat 20 almonds / cashew daily 4. Drink full cream milk, curd, lassi, chikoo shakes etc. 5. If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken, fish. 6. Dals have good protien. Have more rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. 7. Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. 8. No need for any supplements. Nature has best products. 9. Go for regular walks / exercise / do yoga. Sleep well. 10. Take deworming tablets every six month. Feel confident about yourself and be positive.

Hi, I am 26 years old. For past a week I have a white line on inner part of my chick. I mean when I open my mouth I notice this white line on side walls. I feel soreness in mouth whole day. I used to smoke which I quit for a week from now when I noticed this thinking of chances of oral cancer. I had a white path on my lip which disappeared after a week but the soreness and this white line on chick is not disappearing. What can be cause. Please guide. Should I see a dentist or a physician? please give any remedies if possible or I will visit a doctor this weekend.

Dear patient many times this white line is due to sharp teeth present in your mouth and these are normal phenomenon but there can be other reasons too. So I will suggest you to kindly send me a picture of your mouth so that I can understand your condition more accurately. Stop smoking habit. And you will be fine.

I am 20yrs old 165cm height and my weight is above 80kg, I'm overweight I take balanced diet but my weight is increasing continuously practiced some exercises also for a month but there's no effect on me, what should I do?

Dear get your t3 t4 tsh checked. If you felt no effect after 1 month. It can be due to hypothyroidism. B/w try the remedies: 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and spicy food. And constipation.

I have goy swelling under my knee on the bone. I had had biopsy treatment once. What to do?

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hi lybrate-user, start your day with a fresh juicy fruit. Good on stomach. Breakfast should be wholesome. Eat every 2 hours. Main meal options are roti-sabzi-dahi, rice-dal-sabzi, khichdi-dahi, etc. Workout 150 minutes a week, that's like thrice a week. Even though food is free in office, stay off junk that comes out of the packaged products including chips, sodas and juices. Stay hydrated. Ab crunches, squats, pilates, air cycling, swimming, suryanamaskaras definitely help. All the best and keep progressing on your fitness journey! hope this helps.

For hypothyroidism thyroxine tablets should be taken, dosage to decided on tsh level and weight of the patient. For cholesterol problem statins should be taken. For high bp anti hypertensive drugs. Plus proper diet should be taken. This might help in hair fall.

Simple carbohydrates that have high amount of sugar and less fiber and nutrients like cakes, biscuits and white flour often redirect the nutrients consumed through other sources to the process of digestion of their own.
