My 5 years old girl child is getting new teeths but they are not aligned and one teeth is at 75 degree. What can i do ?

MDS Endodontist
Dentist, Panchkula
These are milk teeth teeth. Do not worry. These teeth will shed on their own. At the age of 6-7 years permanent teeth start erupting. If they are not aligned till the age of 11-13 years you can consult an orthodontist.

I have a bad smell in my mouth. Please give me a suggestion to overcome the smell.

BDS

I have a bad smell in my mouth. Please give me a suggestion to overcome the smell.
Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: - practice good oral hygiene. - brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. - don't forget to brush the tongue, too. - replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. - use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. - see your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. - drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. - chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.

I am very worry of my teeth because there is very much space in between my teeth and I wanna get rid of this ?

I am very worry of my teeth because there is very much space in between my teeth and I wanna get rid of this ?
You need to go to an orthodontist. To manage spaces between teeth braces are the option. If the space is between front teeth the gap will be filled by adding tooth coloured restorative materials on mesial and distal surface of the tooth.

Sir my mouth open small. Nearly 2.5 fingers enter. I was using SM fibro. Suggest me to do what. I want to avoid chance of mouth cancer. I have left eating gutkha.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Quit habits strictly. Seems like you have oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF). Kindly consult an oral & maxillo facial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need conservative or surgical management for mouth opening depending upon the stage of OSMF .Advise full mouth opening, ballooning exercise & side to side movement of the jaw. Wrap 25 to 30 ice-cream sticks, make a bundle, put it between upper & lower front teeth for 15 minutes thrice a day increase 1 sticks each day. As for now advice T.SM fibre-30nos, once a day for a month, C. Becosules 5 cap (enriched with Vitamin A, Vitamin B & Vitamin E specifically), for five days in the morning after meals. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person.

There are multiple scenarios where a person can get recurrent mouth ulcers. Most common being trauma, vegan diet, stress and many more. So it's best that you see your dentist to figure out the cause and get the underlying problem treated. For symptomatic relief, apply dologel before brushing and eating. Good luck.

Sir, I am 54 and strong. However, my teeth are becoming very sensitive to cold-drinks and weak to bite hard stuff like bones, etc. Kindly advice.

BDS
Dentist, Vadodara
As per your complain it likes to be generalized attrition shayd apke sare dat uppar se ghis gae lagte hain due to aging or habit of bruxism and tobacco products chewing. The other reason is effect due to severe heavy hard brushing causing wearing of teeth leads to sensitivity use Colgate sensitive pro relief and ch-x mouthwash for 1 month if it still persist then go for full mouth rehabilitation in which doctor does rct in all your hypersensitive teeth followed by capping.

At the age of 26, I am getting a new teeth which is a big pain as of now. How to get rid out of this pain as I can't tolerate it anymore. I am 26 yrs old female

MDS
Dentist, Kota
Its surprising to know tooth erupting at age of 26! still you can take either ibuprofen 400mg three times a day or tramadol 50mg three times a day (assuming that you are not having any other medical conditions - pregnancy etc.) later show it to your dentist. I would like to see the picture of your tooth which is eruption at this age.

Hi lybraye user, Ulcer in mouth is a common problem. It can be caused by disturbance in digestive system, sleep patterns, stress any sharp edges, or deficiencies of vitamins, long illness as body is weak, long time medications. As the time span is just a week do not panic think abt the cause and wait ,it will be alright. It normally heals within 14 days. Take ample sleep, stress free ,improve upon stomach ailment if any. Thanks.

Hello Doctor, I have heard that when it burns use tooth paste on it so that it will not bulge. Is this true?
It only reduces the burning by providing coldness. Instead use turmeric powder mixed in water. It has healing property.

If you wear dentures, general rule is to: brush, soak, brush. Always clean your dentures over a bowl of water or a folded towel in case you drop them. Brush your dentures before soaking, to help remove any food debris. Using an effervescent denture cleaner will help remove stubborn stains and leave your denture feeling fresher.
