Dear, low back pain are often referred for physical therapy for four weeks as an initial conservative (nonsurgical) treatment option before considering other more aggressive treatments, including back surgery. Hi lybrate-user stop eating wheat and wheat products for 1 month, avoid sugar, canned food, refined (use sarso oil only), secondly eat seasonal fruits every alternative days and other alternative days only normal dal, vegetables and rice or mostly south indian dishes. Stat eating triphla chooran in morning emty stomach with luke warm water (available in patanjali stores). And the most important thing start doing surya namaskar in morning. Try not to eat anything after sunset, this will make you slim and healthy.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Hi. Let me tell you about hairfall. In layman's language, hairfall can be divided into 2 types - temporary hairfall and permanent which is called 'Hairloss' rather and leads to bald areas of smooth and shiny surface. In temporary hairfall, hair grows back again from the same hair root, but in case of permanent hairloss, because of formation of DHT (Di- Hydro -Testosterone) around hair root it gets choked up which subsequently affects the blood supply to the hair and thus hair root is lost forever. (There are different pattern and types of hairloss, because of different reasons like Alopecia Areata, Telogen Effluvium, Scarring Alopecia, Traction Alopecia, etc.) Causes of hairrloss: Many factors are responsible formation of this DHT or male/ female pattern baldness - hereditary, post-illness/ ailment, post-delivery, post- chemotherapy, nutritional deficiencies, hormaonal imbalance, insufficient sleep, sudden loss of weight, stress/ tensions/ excessive anger any other underlying diseases, etc. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs, pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnut and almonds), iron-rich food like green vegetables, also take flaxseeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Home Remedy: Extract the juice of one onion by grating it and then strain it. Apply the juice directly onto the scalp. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, and then wash it off. Finally, shampoo your hair. Mix together three tablespoons of onion juice and two tablespoons of aloe vera gel. You can also add one tablespoon of olive oil. Apply this mixture onto your scalp and leave it on for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off and shampooing your hair. Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200/ twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Anti-Dandruff shampoo and Anti-Dandruff oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. (N.B.: With the help of homoeopathic medicines, we can only prevent further progress of the hairloss, means it will get arrests in the present condition in case of progressive baldness. But, in case there are areas of baldness which has gone smooth and shiny, you will have to choose an option of Hair Transplant along with theses medications!).

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Burning sensation in vagina can be due to infection of the urethra or vagina. If urinary tract infection is present it may also lead to burning while urinating plus there is increased frequency. In diabetes frequency of toilet visits increases, plus there is more thirst. If you have any doubts please get blood glucose fasting and PP checked. That will clarify the issue. Also get the urine tested for any infection. Thanks.

1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% protein, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet, don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /6-8 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Pain in ear can be due to wax impaction or even a fungal infection. If there is whitish or yellowish discharge, antibiotic or antifungal ear drips are required along with oral medication. Prevent water from entering the ears while bathing. Also avoid using ear buds.

Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). Emotional Disorders and Their Signs!

What differentiates human beings from the other animals is their ability to express our feelings. While other animals may be able to feel and express some amount of feelings, there is a whole gamut of feelings that humans are capable of expressing.

We are all wired differently, and so the way we respond to situations differs from person to person. Some of the common ones include depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and anger. Let us look deeper into symptoms of these conditions and the ways to manage them.

Depression: There are days when we feel a little low, but those who are depressed feel helpless and hopeless in life. They feel like they are living in a black hole with no light at the end of the tunnel. Getting through each day can be overwhelming for them and theyexperience loss of self-worth, energy, interest, sleep, and appetite. It could be depressing to the extent that the person could feel suicidal.
There is always an underlying reason for depression in terms of family stressors, finances, employment, ill health, etc., and identifying the root cause is the first big step towards managing it. While therapy can be of big help, in some cases, even medication can be used to treat depression. Most people respond well to this combination and can almost get back to leading an enthusiastic and happy life.

Anxiety: People who are anxious are constantly worrying about what is going to happen next. While the future leaves all of us anxious to some extent, people with anxiety are constantly worried, whichgives rise to physical symptoms. The focus of worry and the intensity of it is extremely high, even for small things like keeping up with the doctor’s appointments. Symptoms include excessive worrying, excessive unwarranted fear, jumpiness, inability to cope with daily situations, constant muscle tension in the neck and shoulders, excessive sweating, gastrointestinal ulcers, and cold hands.

Insomnia: One of the major sleep disorders, a person is said to have insomnia if faced with the following situations:

  1. Inability to fall asleep
  2. Frequent waking during the night and inability to fall back to sleep
  3. Rising too early in the morning
  4. Not waking up fresh after a good night’s sleep

Any of this can lead to reduced energy levels, inability to focus and concentrate, irritability, and general fatigue. For most of these emotional problems, there is always a deep-rooted underlying cause. Identifying this root cause and working on it usually helps solve emotional problems too, which gradually disappears. In most cases, a good therapy session combined with medications can work wonders and get the person to lead a completely normal life. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Psychologist.
