You may be into an anger related depression or in the early stages of it. Meet with a counselor and work out your emotions with that person and follow all the instructions. When you internalize your feelings you will experience a lot of health complications. If you know of any reason, developmental or genetic that has contributed to this condition, take that to your counselor. So go out and meet with people, exercise regularly, sleep well and eat healthily. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don?t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love: find someone to love and to love you back. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have.

Hello, My son is 4.8 years old and most of the times he is sitting in bending position. I feel that after sometime, when he will grow, on his back hump will be come out. Most of the time I am giving him instruction to sit straight but I am not with him always. Please suggest what should I do? Can I go through physiotherapy? Does he have any problem in his bone? He never ever went through any surgery, any fracture or any deformation of bone. Growth is OK. Body weight is 20 kg.

BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Bangalore
Yes, you yourself can help him to maintain proper sitting posture, if not start physiotherapy along with that you need to check his vitamin d3 and calcium level checked. Based on which you may have to start with few suppliments and apart from which he may have to start with few strengthening exercises and swimming would help.

Dear , everyone is emotional. Do not judge yourself. Let others judge you by your character and behavior. Then you change according to your perception. If you wrong in your character and emotional behavior, you change. Otherwise please don' t change. Take care.

Hello. Pari-CR plus a medicine having combination of paroxetine & Clonazepam. Of the two paroxetine is the main drug treating your Anxiety in long run & Clonazepam is supporting drug. Clonazepam is habit forming in long run & hence you feel bad/down when you abruptly discontinue this medicine. So first up you need to discuss your wish to stop medicines with your doctor. After that your doctor will gradually reduce dose of Clonazepam by separately prescribing paroxetine & Clonazepam. Once Clonazepam is successfully stopped without side effects, he/she will proceed to stopping paroxetine. In this way you can be medicines free & healthy too! Good luck.

I am medical practitioner. Suffering from sensory epilepsy since 15 years, my dose of levipil is 1000 bd, I want to know any other medicine with better result, I am getting severe migraine twice a wk, platelet is less than one lac pls guide.

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, MD - Internal Medicine

Here is a possibility that your seizure could be a part of your migraine. I would suggest you to manage the migraine well. Valproate can be considered as it can be a migraine prophylaxis as well as anti epileptic. But each individual is different we should try out to find what works best for you.

I do not chew my food enough. I always forget to do it. What to do? What happens if food is not chewed enough?

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology, Positive Psychiatry and Mental Health

Dear lybrate user. Chewing food helps it to mix with saliva and the food also gets a pasty form. Saliva has many digestive components in it. Therefore chewing the food I always considered better. But, even if you do not chew enough cooked food, there may not be much difference. Our digestive system is strong enough to digest many things even without cooking. Take care.

Doctor, I am 18 years old and I am having strong dissiciative experiances like forgetting part of a day like what happened during afternoon or sometime the wholeday, I have big difficulty in focusing my attention around crowd, between crowd I feel like I am floating and please tell me something about what I am going through?

The information you have given is very inadequate to make any diagnostic conclusion but it sounds serious enough to follow up with a visit to a psychiatrist. It is urgent and your cooperation is mandatory. You must also work with a counselor all through the treatment with your doctor. I recommend that you visit the doctor with your parents, equipped with your entire history from prenatal days and a history of the family from your grandparents, on both sides. This is the age when most pathologies manifest themselves for the last time looking for a resolution. If you sincerely work at this time, there is every possibility that your recovery will be complete and much sooner. If it is neglected, you can develop permanent negative traits into adulthood. So roll up your sleeves for some committed action and get well soon.
