Hi, myself Kanchan Patvardhan, I am a clinical nutritionist and dietician, working in this field from the last 19 years. Today I am going to speak about menopause. Lovely ladies if you are 45 plus, having depression, mood swings, lots of hot flashes, muscle cramps and such kind of problems, definitely you are going towards the menopausal stage. This is the time when you really require to take care of yourself and your health too. If you eat healthy diet you can easily overcome these problems, because poor diet worsens the symptoms.

In menopause stage generally estrogen hormone which is very essential for the ladies decreases and this is the root cause of your problem, proper diet and exercise definitely keeps you fit after menopause. So follow proper diet, include lots of complex carbohydrates, proteins, fats and minerals in your diet. Eat complex carbohydrates such as Jawar, Bajra, Raagi, brown rice etc. These will not only give you complex carbohydrate but also give you lots of fiber. So instead of just wheat you can try these cereals also. For protein, you must consume plant based proteins specially soya bean, soya protein because it contains phytoestrogen which act as an estrogen hormone and protects you from osteoporosis and heart diseases, so eat proper proteins in your diet. Your every meal should contain some or other proteins, such as legumes, beans, pulses, nuts. If you are non vegetarian you can take eggs or lean meat, but avoid red meat in such cases.

Now lets talk about fiber. Fiber is very essential in this stage not only in this stage but in every stages because if you eat proper fiber your digestion system will be proper your metabolism will be high and you will not face any weight gain problem which is one of the main issues during this period. For fibers you must consume lots of vegetables, salads, fruits, fruits will not only give you fibers but lots of antioxidants, micro-nutrients which will not only help you for your health but it will protect your skin too, because if you eat proper vitamin c it will give elasticity to your skin and if your skin is elastic then you wont have any wrinkles problem, protein will do the same work as well. Eat enough proteins, eat enough carbohydrates, keep your gut clean.

Last but not the least, drink plenty of water. Make sure you should do some or other exercises every day. Walking is the best exercise because it is self weight bearing exercise , you must walk 45 to 60 minutes everyday. You can do certain weight bearing exercises too because that will protect you from osteoporosis. Drink enough milk and calcium rich food because in this stage you really require good amount of calcium. 1200ml of calcium is required at this stage to keep your bones healthy.

Hi, I am a 27 year old woman. I am suffering from hypothyroidism and taking regular medications for it. I am not married yet, and due to family issues I would not be marrying before two years. Which means I would be around 29 when I get married. I am not interested in having kids for at least 2 years post marriage, so by the time I want one I would turn 31. Everybody keeps telling me that if you are hypothyroid you will have a hell lot of complication if you conceive after 30. I do not want to have kids just because of society's pressure. I want kids when I am mentally prepared to take care of them. Hence please let me know is it really going to be risky for me to have kids after 30, will it lead to any complication?

those peoples are suffering by thyroid...mainly female....there may be problems for conceive. so they should be take continue medicines for thyroid...when thyroid level and other hormones are normal any female can conceive. Take diet for hypothyroidism:- high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread, Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, Avoid few foods in hypothroidism i.e. caffeine products tea,coffee, tabcco, alcohol / wine , kale, broccoli, spinach, mustard green, cabbage, turnip, millet, cassava, linseeds, pine nuts, soy products as soy milk, tofu, soybeans, soy souce, also avoid stress. Take Some Relax during work. Proper follow up you can feel better and reduce weight also.

Do let me know if you also have blackheads with pimples? and what current medications and remedies you already tried to treat acne? acne is a common problem in teen. Almost everybody will get pimples during their teen years. First, don't try to self treat acne. Some popular nonprescription acne lotions, cleansers and other skin products can cause a serious reaction (rare), mostly it is normal to have acne in teenage. For pimples it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin c (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin e or any self prescribed preparations on scars or pimples. Increasing the intake of omega-3 fatty acids through a diet significantly rich in fish and seafood results in lower rates of an inflammatory disease like acne. A low-glycemic-index diet also reduces acne risk. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. He has been getting frequent headaches and also was admitted to hospital for having high fever. All the tests for dengue chikungunya typhoid malaria has come negative. Now the fever is relatively subsidized but headache is still persistent. Please let me know wat could be the problem and if any solution is there. Wat direction treatment can be done.

Daily masturbation is definitely harmful. I advise you to take proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Take light dinner always. Do meditation for mental strength. Follow this and give feedback.

Normal range of B.P: 100-140/60-90. So all the measurements lies in this range. Normally B.P dint fluctuate like this on hourly basis in a healthy individual. The fluctuations are because of recording bias.

your lipid profile is ok except d triglycerides which slightly increased. Just add 15 min of exercise in your daily routine, it will become normal. U can do anyone of d below cycling skipping brisk walking not casual. If practically possible join a gym. Atleast go 3- 4 time per week.

Change your work place or do work in breaks. Working in single position for prolonged time is create more load on joints n muscles. And in standing position it disturbs your circulation also. Do some physical exercises stretching n strengthening for lower limbs muscles. Or consult nearer physiotherapist doctor.

Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 9.Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice.

Limit your solitude. If you masturbate frequently because you feel lonely, find ways to be as socially engaged as possible. This means that you should join as many clubs or activities as you can, accept and give more invitations to people, and go out of your way to make more friends. If you want to date someone, consider asking a friend to set you up or join an online dating site. • Another thing you can do is to limit the times when you are likely to be home alone. If you tend to masturbate in the hour or two before your parents get home from work, go for a walk during that time, or do your homework in a coffee shop. • Even if all of your friends are busy, you can still limit your impulse to masturbate by going out in public. For instance, instead of watching the game at home by yourself, watch it at a sports bar. Even if you're not hanging out with friends, you will not be alone, ultimately having no time for masturbation.
