Good morning as per the information provided you are suffering from diabetes for the past 2 years. Presently your fasting blood glucose is 120 mg% and pp blood glucose is 205 mg%. The hbaic is 8.6 I assume (806 is not possible). From these values it is evident that blood sugar is not very well controlled as your hbaic is 8.6 (it should be preferably below 7.5, if not 7). The medications that you have been provided are fine. It's a combination of glimeperide, metformin and voglibose (which are standard drugs). Methycobal has been added since you are diabetic who can develop neuropathy also. However, your blood glucose needs to be monitored. Preferably you should purchase a glucometer and keep a record of your blood sugar. Persistent high sugar level may be harmful for your eye, kidneys, nerves and heart. Recheck you hbaic after 3 months. If it remains more than 8.5 insulin may be needed. Get your eyes checked and urine for spot acr checked. Hope this helps

Doctor does my sister have to take her supplement for lifelong or can it be cured if her thyroid antibodies test is normal ,t3 t4 within normal range and tsh level 7.19.

She need not worry about the long term (future) as long as she does the right things depending upon the present situation (that is why it is important to go for regular health check up!). At the same time one has to maintain an ideal weight by adapting a healthy lifestyle (because only taking medicines may not be fully effective ). She can try Homeopathy which is safe and gentle and tries to improve the immune system and help the body to recover naturally. She can contact me for a detailed consultation so that suitable constitutional remedies can be given to her.

FBS of 102 is NOT perfectly OK. For your height, u r over weight and hence, at an increased risk of Type 2 Diabetes. I suggest you do FBS, 2 hour PPBS and HbA1c.

Your thyroid results normal because you are taking thyroid hormone if you stop taking your medicine your results will be more or less same as before. Hence please continue your medicines and get your TSH testing regularly. To reduce weight diet control you also necessary along with exercise. Your diet should be low calorie, low fat and high fibre. Hi, if you wanna lose weight you must take care of your diet & regimen. Its better to avoid raw natural sugar also. Do not bunk your breakfast. Eat light diet at night. Drink plenty of water. Do pranayama, surya namaskara, bhujngasana in morning hours. Avoid junk food, coke items, deep fried, red meat.

Novastat tg 20 tablet does it increases blood sugar levels .if s wt is the solution.
The use of statins in diabetics has long term benefits in terms of decreasing morbidity and mortality. Recent studies have shown that statins increase the incidence of new onset diabetes. The issue became debatable after Food and Drug Administration released changes to statin safety that they increase glycosylated haemoglobin and blood glucose levels. At the same time statins are beneficial in preventing cardiovascular events. Most of the investigators are of the opinion that the risk of diabetes with statins can be outweighed by the long term benefits in preventing complications. In patients with high risk of diabetes, statins should be cautiously used.
