Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. It is a chronic inflammatory joint disease which has a genetic predisposition. Since this is a genetically linked disease hence as of now there is no permanent cure for it, but new medications are available which help in disease control. You need a very active lifestyle with intensive regular physical therapy, take adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation you also need to be in touch of a rheumatologist as it needs a long term supervised care. I am 23 yr old. I have thigh ache and backache for 3 years. It is dangerous in winter season. Its very difficult to lift even a single step and when I sleep it is so painful.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

It means disc bulge is seen at lower back that is lumbar region and multiple vertebras are involved like L3-L4, L4-L5 etc. Kindly meet Physiotherapy doctor and get the treatment. Rx: Lumbar Traction. If radiating pain is there from back to lower limb then go for IFT. ULTRASOUND. IRR. Taping. Follow: DO'S and Don'ts. Measures: Wear lumbar support belt. Use High density foam bed with PU foam and rebonded one.

Dear as you mentioned that pain increases in the morning. You have work stress you need to check your sitting posture sit in correct way adjust your chair and monitor screen -do hot fermentation 3 times in a day duration-20 min -do stretches 2 min proper along hold and relax do it for two days then I will tell you further program take care.

Quite often I get sciatic nerve pain. Will not be able to sit, stand or even sleep. Sometimes right leg and sometimes left leg. Taking pain killer for temporary relief. Please advice the remedies for the nerve pain. I get cramps as well, had calcium deficiency and lot of hair loss, taking thyroid treatment. Medicine suggested for thyroid was Euthyroid 25, now taking vitamin tablets for hair. But nerve pain is really bad. I get pain from little above thigh till foot.

Hair fall is Very common for thyroid patients. Hope it's controlled with medicine and within mormal range. If not then get it corrected. Next back pain - (Sciatica pain) need to assess properly as there are so many causes of Back pain. Kindly don't take any medication without proper consultation.

This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help to reduce the pain and feel relaxed and comfortable. You shall also do hot water fermentation that would improve the blood circulation to the painful area and thereby the pain would be reduced.

Requires detailed investigation and examination Presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Anyway you may try sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Hello, kindly go for cervical x ray AP and lateral and review with reports and follow advises given below 1. Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered trainer) 3. You can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4. Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying consult physician for further management.

Hi, at 25 years I guess you shouldn't be having these problems. Your weight may be responsible. To lose weight, you will need to follow a strict diet and exercise regime. You will have to avoid some small dietary pleasures to make your present & future better. This needs a detailed dietary plan. Moreover, for knee pain, as long as it is weight related, you need not do much except occasionally use simple pain killers. But it needs to be established whether this is not an early form of inflammatory arthritis. Eat foods rich in calcium to strengthen your bones. After a detailed history, I would be able to help you better. Regards.

Your back pain is radiating in legs do back isometrics- keep a towel roll under your lower back & press it hold for 3 sec then relax, 10 times twice daily slr- lying straight lift your leg straight up, upto 30-45 degrees, hold for 3 sec then relax, 10 times each leg twice daily same exercise will also be done on lying on stomach, this is called prone slr spinal extension- lying on your stomach & hands on your side lift your chest upwards, hold for 3 sec then relax after exercising apply hot fomentation avoid long standing take care of your posture while sitting ensure that your lower back is well supported with cusion or thin pillow.
