There is most likely something which is hurting her within. Please do not try to explain or instruct her too much. Instead, try to genuinely listen to her and understand her. She needs to go to good psychotherapist. In the mean time she also needs to spend some time in daylight and fresh air, take up some responsibility (even a small thing like cooking or teaching), eat a healthy, and balanced diet including plenty of water and fruits. Let the family be nice (normal nice like with any family member) to her. All the best!

Please go for psychotherapy. When the mind is preoccupied with too many things, we are not even aware of what we are thinking but the mind has no space to concentrate on anything. Psychotherapy will help you. Along with that, do follow a healthier lifestyle. Eat all meals on time, eat light, healthy and balanced including plenty of water and fruits. Follow a regular sleep wake cycle, avoid sleeping during the day. Spend your day physically active and in bright areas of the house rather than in closed and dark places. Go out in natural daylight. Add some amount of physical exercise in your routine even if it is for just 15 minutes. These things will facilitate your wellness but psychotherapy is still needed. All the best.

I am suffering from Anxiety from the last 5 years or so. From last 1 year I feel giddy, pressure in head, focus problems. I am also on anti anxiety tablets. I also feel unusual heart beats. I have had a thorough heart check up but all came negative. Any suggestions.

A lot can be changed in your difficulties through healthier lifestyle, which just means basic things like some amount of physical exercise, a healthy and balanced diet including fruit, vegetables and plenty if water. Please do not avoid exercise. You can start with even a 15- minute walk. If that seems tough, start with 10. But do start, and keep going slow and steady. Do join yoga, and especially do pranayam. Keep your digestion in check, plenty of water, fiber will help in that. Spend time in natural daylight whenever possible, avoid closed and dark places. You deserve to live happily. And you can. All the best!

Sir, I went for a test of 70 through this site and got the results. The doctors said nothing negative in the results. Even otherwise due to my work place stress and all I am always having a BP level of 130-80 and 140-90 and 140-80 with the same fluctuations. What can I do for that and also ask you to give me your valuable suggestions for keeping healthy even while taking outside food regularly except in the nights (at home). Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Try to eat healthy and have plenty of water especially when outside. Having a banana or two everyday might be good. If you have to eat lunch outside, try to have a healthy breakfast at home before leaving. All the best!

I'm very sorry for your loss. May your friend's souls rest in peace. What you are facing is a very understandable and normal reaction to this very difficult situation. You can do things who h will help you to some extent, but in any case there will be bouts of crying/ feeling lost /missing your friend. What you could do (even though you won't feel like doing it) to help yourself a little bit is to try and follow and healthy and regular routine of sleeping, eating, going outdoors, meeting people and so on. Keep yourself busy but also keep some time aside to think of your friend. All the best!

Give yourself one week of 1.regular exercise in fresh air and natural daylight. Even 15 minutes a day is good, but do it daily if possible. Do it with a pleasant expression or a smile on your face. 2. Eat a balanced and healthy diet which also includes plenty of water and fruits. 3. Spend more time in open areas and less daytime in a dark, closed room. 4. Keep yourself busy and active with any small or big work. 5. Meet people, do not avoid them. 6. Smile or laugh daily. Even if seems fake in the beginning, keep doing it at least a few times a day. 7. If possible, do any act of Social service everyday. If these help to some extent, please continue these. If not, please see an experienced psychiatrist and a psychotherapist. All the best.

I am suffering from GAD and depression since a long time. The doctors prescribed fluvoxin, but that resulted into triglyceride levels as high as 700 and above. Now the doc had prescribed vilazine 20. Is it a medicine safe from this side effect?

You need psychotherapy much more than medication. Also do follow a healthier lifestyle - go outdoors everyday go for a jog, if you can't jog - walk, if you can't walk - sit, if you can't go out at all - sit in an open area at home. But do spend time in natural daylight. Taka a healthy and balanced diet including plenty of water and fruits, do practice a few minutes of deep breathing daily. You deserve to live happily and peacefully. All the best.
