Is there any treatment for vitiligo skin? My daughter (10 years old) suffering from vitiligo skin the appearance to her face. Is there a cure can remove the effect of vitiligoly's spots phenomenon?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Faridabad
Hello lybrate-user hadi, as your 10 years old daughter facing vitiligo problem, vitiligo is a genetic disorder trigger by indigestion and stressful conditions. There was always confusion in patients mind regarding choosing right treatment approach for vitiligo. Allopathy can give quick results but is not very safe for long term uses if steroids are used. Homeopathic is safe but very slow and in most of cases it can not stop the spread of disease i. E old patches shows some recovery but new white patches continue to come even when we are using homeopathy. If one think abourt using ayurveda there is no good vaidya who is expertise in vitiligo. At kayakalp global we have integrated external allopathic applications with internal ayurvedic medication to give fast and long lasting results. Ayurvedic herbal medicines are used to purify blood and stop the spread of disease and external application are capable of quickly start regimentation. For detail replies regarding 1. Causes of vitiligo 2. Is it genetic or can it spread to next generation 3. Causes of spread of disease after it remains stable for some years 4. Should we use homeopathy, allopathy or ayurveda. You can contact clinic you can send pictures of vitiligo effected parts extra use of haldi and vit. C should be avoided in vitiligo.

I've so many pimples on my face & even marks. How to get a clear face without any pimples?
Hi please consult a cosmetic dermatologist for the same but in the mean time use Turmeric Turmeric is an excellent antiseptic and skin-lightening agent that helps minimize scars and other marks. Plus, turmeric can alleviate allergic, inflammatory and infectious skin disorders that make your skin look dull and lifeless. Mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder with enough pineapple juice to make a paste. Apply the paste to your face and neck. Leave it on until the paste dries completely. Then wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy two or three times a week to reduce the appearance of spots on skin. Make a paste by mixing equal amounts of turmeric powder and gram flour with a little water or milk. Apply it evenly on your skin and leave it on until it dries. Wash it off with lukewarm water, scrubbing your skin gently in a circular motion. Follow this remedy once a week to lighten your skin tone and remove scars.

I have dark circles under eyes, pimples on forehead, little bit red cheeks and dry hands and foot for over last 2 years. What should I do?

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy
Dermatologist, Ludhiana
I have dark circles under eyes, pimples on forehead, little bit red cheeks and dry hands and foot for over last 2 yea...
Dark circles may be genetical, due to increased vascularity around eyes, low eyesight etc. Take a proper sleep, plenty of water; be regular in using your sunscreen. An undereye cream can be given to you by looking at a picture of your condition. Lactic acid peels may be helpful. Never apply over the counter medications over your face as they may have certain ingredients which may cause a lot of side effects.

I am 19 year old college student. I have excessive hair growth on my stomach and nipples.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I am 19 year old college student. I have excessive hair growth on my stomach and nipples.
Similar to underarm hair and hair on one’s hands, legs and genitalia, the nipples (or areolar) and stomach skin also have hair follicles, both in males and female. Normally in females, the hair is usually fine and hardly visible, but some may have hair that is longer and thicker. Usually it is a normal condition and does not require any treatment. That being said, there some other conditions that could precipitate this unusual growth of hair • Hormonal fluctuations: This usually happens around puberty, menopause and pregnancy. • Patients have recently started taking oral contraceptive pills or any other kind of hormonal medication or hormone replacement therapy. • Women with a darker complexion also tend to have this problem. • There are some medical conditions that can lead to this condition as well. Conditions like PCOD and complex ovarian cysts. • In some cases a person (man or woman) might have excessive hair all over their body (on their chest, hands and face). This condition is called Hirsuitism. There is a treatment: In cases where the condition is insane and does not have any underlying medical conditions you can opt to trim or pluck the hair. It is best you avoid shaving, waxing or bleaching the hair around your breasts and stomach line from Umbilicus to Pubis ,as this is a very sensitive area and prone to damage. If an underlying medical condition is the reason for the hair around your nipples, you should immediately get it investigated and get treatment to treat the root of the problem – as a result the excessive hair will disappear.Myself Is a Homoeopathic physicain and please give me the detail regarding development of your hairs around nipple and your Menstrual history so that homoopathic treatment be given accordingly.
