I can't wake up early in morning as I work in jewelry shop no fix time I get for my diet and I always suffer acidity ...
Here are some home remedies to cure acidity.  - Skip the aerated drinks as well as the caffeine. Opt for herbal tea instead.  - Have a glass of lukewarm water everyday.  - Include banana, watermelon and cucumber in your daily diet. Watermelon juice is great for curing acidity.  - Nariyal paani is known to soothe the system if you suffer from acidity.  - Drink a glass of milk - everyday.  - Have your last meal at least two to three hours before you hit the sack.  - Keeping long intervals between meals is another cause for acidity. Have small but regular meals.  - Try to avoid pickles, spicy chutneys, vinegar, etc.  - Boil some mint leaves in water and have a glass of this after meals.

Hi am facing heart burning last 2 year I have ulcer I do endoscopy my pain like hearatack but no vomiting doctor give some medicine no use and gastric problem also I have and I take pantocid some time pls give a idea how to deduce pain.

MBBS
General Physician,
Hi am facing heart burning last 2 year I have ulcer I do endoscopy my pain like hearatack but no vomiting doctor give...
Ulcer in endoscopy will require long treatment of H pylori (multiple drugs) which I think your doctor must have given you. If the pain is persistent then a long course of pantoprazole (pantocid) might be needed. Also a repeat endoscopy to rule out any new ulcer is to be done. Also if you keep fasting in Roza during Ramzaan then this problem might be increased so take pantocid regularly. Also you can start sitting in Vazrasan (like namaaz posture) 5 to 10 min after lunch & dinner (each meal) Take small meals multiple times in place of large meals. Follow this for 1-2 wks to See the changes. I hope you get well soon. If problem remains then please visist.

Digestion Related Problems - 4 Ways to Treat it!

MBBS, D.P.H
General Physician, Gurgaon
Digestion Related Problems - 4 Ways to Treat it!

A number of digestion related problems plague people from time to time. Diarrhea or loose motions remains one of the most debilitating problem in this regard, with other conditions like IBS or irritable bowel syndrome and colitis, Crohn’s Disease and others like pain, discomfort and related issues. If your daily schedule is hampered by constant trips to the bathroom and your eating habits show poor nutritional choices and a lack of appetite, then it may be time to do something about these digestive problems.

Let us acquaint ourselves with a few measures for treatment of the same.

  1. Triggers: One of the important and primary steps in the process of treating your digestive related problem is to learn how to recognise and identify the triggers so that you may avoid the same. There are many kinds of food that may not be suitable for some people. With the help of your doctor, you can go through a food or skin test that will help in exposing you to small amounts of various ingredients. The results will help in pointing towards the food allergy or triggers that you may be suffering from. Apart from food, there may be certain kinds of medication that may be causing side effects like loose motions and other digestive problems. Also, there are certain situations and stress giving factors that may be contributing to this condition. In such cases, it is best to maintain a food dairy or event diary so that you learn your triggers and avoid the same.
  2. Hydration: One of the most important ways of treating digestive problems is to drink plenty of fluids and to keep your body well hydrated. Besides routinely flushing out the toxins that cause the condition in the first place, plenty of water intake will also help in replenishing the lost fluid reserves as the body tends to get dehydrated swiftly when it is suffering from such conditions. One should also avoid contaminated sources of water and try to drink bottled and packaged water, especially while travelling.
  3. Hygiene: It is important to eat hygienically prepared food and wash your hands before and after meals so as to remove unhygienic triggers from the list that causes digestive disorders. Using alcohol free wipes in case you are suffering from loose motions and keeping a sanitiser handy at all times will also help in treating the condition.
  4. Medicines: The doctor may prescribe various kinds of medicines in order to fight the onset of such conditions as well for treatment of related symptoms like bloating and gas. This medication must always be kept handy so that the patient can have it as soon as the earliest symptoms arise.

Helps in prevention of constipation – Constipation is chronic and can cause a sluggish response in digestion which in turn leaves the wastes in the system for a longer time.
Increase of energy – When toxins are released from the body one feels rejuvenated as energy is refocused from forcing wastes through the intestines and from other parts of the body.
Increasing the absorption of vitamins and nutrients – When the colon is detoxified, it allows the essential nutrients to be filtered into the bloodstream.
Improving concentration – When one has ineffective vitamin absorption and a poor diet they are often distracted and lose their concentration.
Kick-starts weight loss – With the help of colon cleansing weight loss is aided greatly and one can lose upto 20 pounds in a month.
Colon cancer risks are decreased – Most of the toxins we eat, breathe in or drink are absorbed and processed by the gastrointestinal system including the liver. They need to be forced out from the colon and the liver as quickly as possible or the body system is affected.
Fertility increase – When one increases their fiber intake and healthy food diet, colon cleansing is done more regularly and that helps to rid the body of unwanted toxins and chemicals which can affect the health of the sperm and the egg.
PH balance is maintained – Food that block out the colon is acid forming and that throws the pH levels out of balance.
Improving the feeling of well being – When the colon is rid of toxins and wastes that in turn leads to strength, a feeling of lightness and a general feel good factor.
Colon cleansing is important for the system as well as for the skin. When the impurities are removed from the body it enhances the beauty of the outer skin. What is the treatment of acute pancreatitis? How fair its prognosis? How much time the treatment takes to cure?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Patients with severe acute pancreatitis require intensive care. Within hours to days, a number of complications (eg, shock, pulmonary failure, renal failure, gastrointestinal [gi] bleeding, or multiorgan system failure) may develop. The goals of medical management are to provide aggressive supportive care, to decrease inflammation, to limit infection or superinfection, and to identify and treat complications as appropriate. Autoimmune pancreatitis is a rare condition. Corticosteroids should not be used to treat this condition in the short term in patients who are suspected of having autoimmune pancreatitis and who present with acute pancreatitis.

If you are having piles and bleeding, it may be due to constipation or damage of anal mucosa due to hard stools. I would suggest you sitz bath: take hot water in a tub and add betadine solution, cover your anal area and sit for 15-20 minutes twice a day if possible thrice a day. It will reduce bleeding and helpful for healing. Wash the anal area with mild soap, pat dry and apply the lignocaine jelly after bowel movement and at bedtime. Liquid cremaffin plus 2 tsp twice a day. You should prevent constipation by eating healthy food, which contains fiber. Avoid spicy, fatty, heavy meals and meat. Avoid smoking if you smoke. If your symptoms persist, I would suggest you visit a general surgeon for clinical and physical examination to know about degree of hemorrhoids. Treatment (medical or surgical) can be decided by surgeon. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any queries, I will be happy to help you. Thank you.

I am 39 years old male and I am suffering from fissure for the past 40 days. I am getting homeopathic treatment. After one week I had opted for a new doctor as there was no relief after meeting the first doctor. I haven't taken any tests but both the doctors on inquiring me came to the conclusion that it's fissure. I am not bleeding and able to pass stools a bit freely. After passing stools I am feeling severe irritation/burning sensation inside and around the anal area. The medicine seems to give relief but it is resurfacing again and again. I am giving sits bath twice a day. I don't want to go under the knife. I am following a very strict diet avoiding spice and tamarind. Please leave your suggestions so that I can get instant and permanent relief.
