I am 28 years old and had unprotected sex with my husband few hours back. I am already a lactating mother and I do not want to get pregnant under any circumstances. Kindly suggest a medicine which is most effective in this situation to avoid pregnancy without affecting breastfeeding and my five month old baby.

Low BP 【94/60】 in 27th week of pregnancy? Is this problematic for now or later? What are the line of treatment.

Low BP 【94/60】 in 27th week of pregnancy? Is this problematic for now or later? What are the line of treatment.
Hi. During later trimester of pregnancy, having blood pressure in the range of 94/60 mmHg is quite common. Having high blood pressure during this phase is actually bad. So BP in the range of 94/60 mmHg is not a problem if the pregnant woman is not feeling dizzy. Take care.

Follow methods by which you can gain your desired height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. You can privately consult me for understanding more exercises. 2. Take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. 3. Sit in sun rays for atleast 8-10 minutes in morning of evenings when the sun rays are not so strong. It will help you by getting adequate quantity of vitamin-d. 4. The growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. 5. Take 1/2 teaspoon of ashwagandha powder with milk once a day.

Hello sir/madam. What is difference between regular and irregular periods? How can I know that I have regular or irregular periods?

Hello sir/madam.
What is difference between regular and irregular periods? How can I know that I have regular or irre...
Hello, Irregular period is usually defined as any type of bleeding that's abnormal when compared to your last few menstrual cycles. It can include everything from a late period to early bleeding, and scant bleeding to extremely heaving bleeding. For many women, this can even mean an absent period (amenorrhea) or two periods in one month (metrorrhagia). It's actually a way of your body telling you something is not right and probably your hormones (especially estrogen and progesterone) are imbalanced. Although, in most cases, they are not dangerous, but it is important to figure out what is causing the irregularity (which may require a trip to the doctor). RESAONS/ CAUSES: Some common reasons for irregular periods: STRESS: Stress is the most common cause of irregular periods. Cortisol, the stress hormone, has a direct impact on how much estrogen and progesterone, two sex hormones, gets produced by the body. POOR DIET: Unhealthy eating and being overweight or underweight can cause irregular periods. In order for a woman to maintain a regular cycle, her body fat percentage needs to be at least 17-22 percent. EXCESSIVE EXERCISE: Excessive exercising (or even lack of it) and drastic weight changes can decrease the body fat, being underweight can offset your hormone levels, thus contributing to irregular periods. BIRTH CONTROL PILLS: When some women stop taking the pill, their periods may take one to three months to return to normal. And this can also reveal an underlying hormonal problem that was masked by taking the birth control pills. PCOS: Polycystic ovary syndrome causes cysts to form on the ovaries, interfering with regular ovulation. In fact, PCOS is far more complicated than a missed period. Talk to your doctor about this condition. THYROID: Thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, can cause widespread symptoms like changes in estrogen and cortisol hormones and missed periods. OTHER REASONS: Some other reasons include perimenopause, menopause, pregnancy, certain medications you might be taking due to other health issues, and breastfeeding. Hope this helps.

One year is enough time. So, you and your wife should consult your gynaecologist to have some basic work up. There may be problem in the female or the male or the both. Even sometimes no problems may be found. But please remember, as you already have a son, your chance of having baby is quite good. And try to have regular physical relationship between 12-16 days of the menstrual period. All the best.

Is your wife's cycle irregular it was in march only. If she had irregular cycle then get her ultrasound, tsh, prolactin, fsh test done to find out the cause for it. If she had a regular cycle of 28 to 30 days then fertile period will be from day 10 to 20th day of cycle, so do regular intercourse during this period.

Painful and heavy periods may be physiological or dysfunctional that is where no obvious cause can be found. Or it may be related to uterine tumors/ ovarian cysts /endometriosis.etc; I would advice you to get a transvaginal USG done if you are worried.

Best Foods To Eat During Chemotherapy!

Best Foods To Eat During Chemotherapy!

11 Best foods to eat during chemotherapy:

These healing foods may help minimize chemo side effects.

1. Carrots give chemo a boost

Carrots are a chemotherapy superfood. Certain plant compounds, which are also found in parsley, can make chemo more effective by stopping a mechanism in the body that can sometimes interfere with cancer treatment, according to a recent study by the new zealand institute for plant and food research. Researchers hope these foods “could be used to complement conventional treatments to potentially deliver better results for patients.

2. Gravy combats dry mouth

If your dry mouth—a common side effect of chemo—makes swallowing difficult, try moistening your food by covering it with sauces, gravies, or even low fat milk. Liquefying foods in a blender will also help your meal go down a little easier.

3. Rice and bananas for diarrhea

Bland foods like rice, bananas, cooked apples, and dry toast will help bind your stool if you have diarrhea from chemotherapy. Avoid fatty foods, raw fruits, and whole grain products, which can make diarrhea worse. You can also try these home remedies for diarrhea.

4. Whole grains battle constipation

On the other hand, if you are constipated, drinking plenty of fluids and eating foods high in insoluble fiber, such as whole grain breads or cereals, dried fruits, and dried beans or peas, will aid your digestive system. The national cancer institute (nci) recommends drinking eight to 12 cups of liquid a day for those undergoing cancer treatment. Here are other sneaky ways you might be making yourself dehydrated.

5. Small meals help with appetite loss

Loss of appetite is a common side effect of chemotherapy, but instead of forcing yourself to eat three big meals, eat five or six smaller meals throughout the day to stay properly nourished and energized. Adding protein supplements and higher-calorie foods to your diet will help you sustain a healthy weight. However, always consult your doctor to personalize your diet according to your condition, diagnosis, and needs.

6. Ginger candy eases nausea

Chemo often leaves you with a queasy stomach, but ginger candy and lemon drops work like a charm. Suck on them before eating, or sip on some flat ginger ale or cola during your meal. This will help ease your dizziness and settle your stomach. These are more natural remedies for an upset stomach.

7. Custard for mouth sores

Mouth sores can make it painful to eat even the softest of foods. If treatment has left your mouth in pain, try pureed foods that are easy to swallow, such as custards, rice, eggs, porridge, and soups. The blander the better, since salt or spices can make sores even more painful. Avoid sharp or crunchy foods like crackers, chips, and raw vegetables, as well as spicy foods like hot sauces, curry dishes, salsa, and chili peppers, which also irritate sores.

8. Orange juice prevents dry mouth

Ward off dry mouth before it takes hold by filling your diet with plenty of sweet and tart foods. According to the nci, drinking liquids like lemonade and orange juice will help you produce more saliva because their tartness stimulates your saliva glands. However, do not eat or drink these foods if your treatment has left you with a sore mouth or throat, as they will make your symptoms worse. These are other fruit juices that are healthier than you thought.

9. Onion and garlic boost your immune system

Grilled, cooked, or raw, onions and garlic are highly recommended as cancer fighters, as their high levels of antioxidants have been shown to stimulate the immune system’s natural defenses against cancer. In fact, cornell researchers found that strong-flavored onions could even inhibit the growth of some cancer cells. Here are more foods with cancer-fighting abilities.

10. Lean protein maintains energy and muscle

The nci recommends eating more protein when undergoing chemotherapy to give you energy and keep your muscles strong when treatment is draining. Opt for lean proteins like eggs, fish, tofu, and chicken. Many people with cancer find that red meat takes on an unpleasant metallic taste.

11. Selenium-rich foods fight cancer

Brazil nuts, seafood, oats, and brown rice are all great sources of selenium, a cancer-fighting mineral. A study published in the journal of biological chemistry found that selenium compounds boost the immune system, allowing it to fight certain cancers like leukemia and melanoma. However, avoid eating shellfish and raw fish.

Your wife can use Cu-T 380Ag as she is young. It's very safe and lasts 10 years without any hormonal side effects. It is long term and easily reversible method. Another very good option is male sterilization/no scalpel vasectomy. It is a simple day care procedure with no associated difficulties. You may discuss with your obstetrician what suits you best. Hope I could help you. Take care.
