Hi lybrate-user here are some changes to make to improve your eating habits: - incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet while eliminating unhealthy foods. - if you are working or studying away from home, try to pack healthy lunch and snacks for yourself to avoid eating unhealthy food daily. - don't eat straight from the packet - use a plate or bowl to control how much you eat. - don't delay or skip meals. - cut down your consumption of aerated drinks and sodas. - drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Drink water after waking up and before sleeping. Being dehydrated may make you feel like you're hungry, so it is important to stay hydrated. - have homemade fruit and vegetable juices - eat 5-6 small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, every day, instead of having a few big ones. This regulates your blood sugar level and your metabolism. - don't skip breakfast, instead, make it rich with complex carbohydrates and proteins, so it can provide you with energy to get through the day. Try to include the following as your morning breakfast, oats porridge, eggs on multigrain toast or daliya with sprouts. - avoid artificial sweeteners in processed foods. - eat slowly as it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register if you're full or not. Eating too fast leads to overeating, so chew slowly to digest your food better and control how much you eat. - use a smaller plate to control your portion sizes and avoid overeating. - know your cravings and do not snack when you're emotional. It is said that you crave crunchy and savory food when you're stressed, frustrated or lonely. Figure out what you crave and replace them with healthier alternatives. - do not eat mindlessly; concentrate on your food instead of watching tv or playing with your phone to avoid overeating.

I am 25 years old male, while dancing at a party last night I suddenly got a knee jerk in my right leg and fell down, since then I am not able to straighten my leg. I am also not able to walk as it gives me lot of pain, I cannot see aby swelling though but for any movement I get high pain ,the pain is internal and not on some specific point on my knee. Please tell me what should I do and how long it will take me to get absolutely normal so that I can run again.

Dear lybrate-user I hope your knee has gets better soon. It may be ligament or meniscus injury which is seen in such kind of trauma. Apply ice daily for 5 to 6 times, 10 minutes every time. Take rest for couple of days. Do not walk on painful leg. If you don't get relief by ice application, x ray and MRI of knee may be required after clinical examination depending on findings.

Hello doctor I have a very serious problem with the smell when I taking to others. Yes I do have a tooth decay problem over years but is there any way to remove this bad smell of my mouth. Check for your sugars or any malabsorption syndrome. Excessive activity with less food intake and high bmr could cause weight loss. Take a properly balanced nutritious meal with no water intake along with or immediately after meals.

For hair problem ayurved is best. Aap ko bhi kuch rule diet follow karne padenge. Jaise avoid fast food, fermented food, spicy food, namkin, chat, chinise, hotelling, oily food. Etc. Take proper diet at proper time and proper sleep also very important. Extra salt is very dangerous for you r health. If you possible please contact me personally for ayurvedic medicine. Panchbhoutik treatment is very useful for white hair. Heat problem is basic problem in that case.

in an ideal scenario, only one egg will ovulate around the 14 th day of the cycle.. menses can vary from 2 to 6 days and this is a normal variation.. The ideal days for intercourse are between 12 to 16 days counting the first day of menses as the first day of the cycle

Hi Take medicine RITE-HITE (SBL) 4tabs to be chewed twice a day ,1/2 an hour before meals. Do pranayam,Suryanamaskar daily. Do swimming and stretching exercises daily .Do this regularly as you have a better chance of growth till 25yrs of age.

Hello, Please ensure you are gaining weight in a healthy way by eating 3 main meals + 3 snacks. Ensure you are eating high protein sources such as eggs, milk shakes, curd, paneer, boiled pulses, fish/chicken etc. Drink at least 2 glasses of milk and 2 cups of curd daily. Snack on nuts, dry fruits and fruits such as banana, apple etc. Ensure you are also drinking at least 2-3 liters of water daily without fail.

Hair fall is due to many reasons now a day it is common due to stress and busy life check your haemoglobin level if less then take hamatinic any multinational company take proper diet (dal vegetables sprouts fruits) and do exercise minimum 15 min if possibles do yoga for 10 min increase water intake minimum 3 to 4 litres per day also take homoeo medicines homoeo medicines are known for to stop hair fall and it actually happens phosphrus 30 (30 no glouble) 2 tds x 2 weeks and reply also comb your hair gently and 2/3 time per day wash with homoeopathic shampoo (sbl or any company) twice a week preaper oil by mixing arnica montana q 30 ml + any regular hair oil and apply before wash.

Dear, anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand. Take care.

I can not concentrate on my work. When ever I have something to do I am unable to focus like something is stopping me, I feel irritable and my heart beats loudly. At such times, I don't want to talk to anyone. It irritates me if people are talking to me or even in front of me. I feel completely exhausted even if I am well rested and all I am able to do is sleep again. Is there any kind of changes in my lifestyle or diet that can help?

Dear Lybrateuser, -From your symptoms it appears that you are stressed & have anxiety -some lifestyle changes will make you feel better, do not miss breakfast as it gives a boost to the metabolism & the energy to start your day & work, a low blood sugar leads to decreased concentration, irritability & lethargy, have a combination of a whole grain, like brown/multigrain bread & an egg or yogurt with fresh fruits, milk with oats/ cereals & fruits, eat meals on time, can even have a light snack in between meals like a sandwich, sprouts, a fruit, apple, wholegrain crackers, yogurt -have 7-8 glasses of water a day, good hydration keeps one alert & energized & also helps in removing toxins from the body -do regular exercise like walking, jogging for 20-30 min, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10-15 min in the morning as these calm your mind, reduce stress & help you keep fit -sleep well for 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed, eat dinner at least 2-3 hrs before bedtime, a good sleep keeps you fresh the next day, do not nap for more than 30 min in the day -keep your mind busy by reading, listening to music, follow a hobby, socialize -get your blood hemogram, sugar, thyroid homone levels checked -plan your work a day earlier & keep follow timings properly so that there is no stress & mind is relaxed.
