Before planning a baby you should focus more on the heath of your wife first. .try to built a stronger relationship with your wife emotionally first and physically later. So that she also enjoys the same. To become a parent earlier. You should know fertile period of your wife and performing sexual intercourse in that period. Surely helps her to conceive.

5 Alarming Reasons You Must Visit Your Gynaecologist

5 Alarming Reasons You Must Visit Your Gynaecologist
5 Alarming reasons you must visit your gynaecologist

In India, statistics reveal that more than 92% of women suffer from gynaecological problems. Some of these problems may turn out to be more serious than you expected. Here are 5 danger signs you should watch out for that signal an immediate visit to your gynaecologist.

1. Painful sex
Most women feel that it is normal to feel a little bit of pain in your vagina during sex. However, the truth is that pain during sex is not at all normal. If you feel pain while indulging in sexual activity, there are chances of you suffering from either vaginal dryness or a mild infection, which if left untreated can become worse. Some of these infections can even be STDs such as herpes, gonorrhoea etc.

2. Considerable bleeding during periods
If you bleed heavily during your periods, so much so that you have to change your sanitary napkin 2-3 times in just one to two hours, it’s a cause of concern. If this heavy menstrual flow is also accompanied with shortness of breath and rapid heart rate, you may be suffering from anaemia. In extreme cases (which is very rare), this can lead to extreme blood loss, which may require a blood transfusion.

3. Itchy vagina
Vaginal itching is very commonly ignored as most women consider it to be embarrassing, and as something that does not require any attention. However vaginal itching may be an indication of something more serious. Usually vaginal itching is a sign of fungal infection or a symptom of a sexually transmitted disease. In the worst-case scenario, it can even be a sign of vulvar cancer (a cancer of the vulva, which is the external part of your vagina).

4. Abnormal vaginal odour
Abnormal vaginal odour, just like an itchy vagina, may be a sign of a bacterial infection. Sometimes vaginal odour may even be accompanied with a thick and heavy vaginal discharge. This usually indicates vaginal yeast infection (an infection caused by an increase in the number of yeast cells present in your vagina), and if ignored these infections can recur, making sex and urination very painful activities.

5. Lump in your breast
A lump in the breast, whether or not accompanied by a bloody discharge from your nipples, is most likely a warning sign of cancer. You should also watch out for any type of pain in your breasts or even an abnormal growth as all of these indicate the development of cancerous cells in the breasts.
Schedule an appointment with your gynaecologist if you experience any one of these symptoms. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

My wedding was on june 18th and I was on my periods that day. We mated a week later on june 26th. My next period came on due date, i.e on july 20th. But it went missing in august. I checked using a kit and got negative result. But the period is still missing even after 14 days from due date. Is it that I have conceived or something else is the reason? What should I do?

Both men and women are susceptible to stretch marks, particularly on the thighs, hips, arms, buttocks, abdominal area, and lower back. There are several causes of stretch marks, including: genetics: women are more likely to get belly stretch marks if their mother, for instance, had stretch marks after pregnancy. Significant weight gain and loss: your skin stretches as your weight fluctuates, sometimes resulting in stretch marks. Puberty: growth spurts during puberty often result in stretch marks as the skin is unable to keep up with the body's rate of growth. Bodybuilding: rapid development of muscle mass may stretch the skin beyond its limits. Laser stretch mark removal during a laser stretch mark removal procedure, a beam of light removes thin layers of skin around the stretch marks. The excimer laser is uniquely effective for this procedure. Surgical stretch mark removal surgical stretch mark removal is the only effective option for the complete and permanent elimination of stretch marks. If I took pills for unwanted pregnancy ,then it will reduce my further pregnancy chances? Is it true?

PDDM, MHA, MBBS

If I took pills for unwanted pregnancy ,then it will reduce my further pregnancy chances? Is it true?
I understand your concern... Single use of I pill do not affect the future pregnancy. I pill is actually high dose progesterone. Effect of it will last only for a month. But repeated use may cause menstrual irregularity and indirectly may affect the ovulation. There is no definitive study to prove its effect on future pregnancy.. So use an alternative contraceptive measure instead of repeated use of the pill.

I would advice you to get a urine re and c/s done if it has been more than 4 weeks after you finished your course of antibiotics. If your infection is cured it shouldn't harm your baby.

I am 48 years old both of my ovaries were removed recently what health problems shall I have in future.

M. sc Psychology, BHMS
Homeopath, Hyderabad
Here you did not mention the reason for what, you have undergone the surgery, but after removing the ovaries, obviously, that shows impact on imbalance of the natural hormones secreted by other organs, but here of course, you r anyway nearing the usual menopausal age], but even after you get natural menopause also, because of lack of secretions from that particular female organs, that impact will show on the other organs which secrete other hormones which balance mutually. The symptoms, you can expect are weight gain, mood swings, hair thinning, lack of appetite, drowsiness, weakness, jt pains, etc. But you can take precautionary measures in food intake, following exercises, like walking, yoga, engaging yourself in some work, meditation, practicing pranayama regularly, to avoid stress, to get peace of mind, takin plenty of water irrespective of your thirst, all will help to avoid the risks in future to max extent.
