I am 32 years old male I have chest pain for 6 months when I am relaxing no pain when I do something or working physically .

Chest pain causes 1. Heart disease 2. Stress, anxiety 3. Lack of exercise 4. Sedentary life style 5. Obesity (over weight) 6. Smoking, tobacco and alcohol consumption, excess tea/coffee 7. Excess oily, fatty, cholesterol rich diet, junk food 8. Hyperacidity, musculr pain 9. Heredity and genetic factor prevention follow the advice given below 1. Avoid stress and strain 2. Do regular exercise, yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 3 avoid alcohol, smoking and tobacco consumptio, excess tea/coffee. 4. Take bland diet, avoid spicy, oily, fatty and junk food 5. Take paracetamol 500 mg one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets daily, at the time of chest pain 6. Drink plenty of water and take rest. 7. If you have recurrent attack of chest pain take ecg and consult cardiologist.

Ibugesic Tablet is a good pain killer when the pain is musculo skeletal at the dose of about 400 mg 3 times a day after food. Acidity and fluid retention may be side effect after prolonged use. For chest pain you may have to see a Physician for proper clinical examination, related investigations, diagnosis and treatment.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. There are certain misconception about cholesterol itself. Cholesterol is actually produced by liver and cholesterol is needed for body's day to day functioning. Therefore, do not worry too much about cholesterol. To answer your question, Chronic anxiety can reduce your weight due to metabolic change. Cholesterol, whether bad or good, factor depends on your food intake and dietary pattern. Fatty fool do increase cholesterol level even when you are anxious. But all these are usually momentary. The peripheral answer to your question is NO. There are many other factors needs to be considered. Take care.

My bp is 130/90 and Blood reports shows FBS is 119 and PLBS is 171. Kindly advise ether for both any single table is available. Or without the tablet the disease can be controlled. It is necessary to take tablet.

Dear lybrate-user, Thnks for the query. Please understand that your sugar reports are more significant than BP. If you are worried about the single blood sugar report, please go for HbA1C, which will give you an average of last 3 months. If it is more than 6, difinitely you have to take medicines for Diabetes. Your weight is more, and you come in the Obese category. If you can reduce your weight by 15-20 kg, may be the load on your pancreas will reduce and the Diabetes will come down. It is a slightly complicated issue. It is my sincere advice to please contact me at least once to talk in detail. Or you may also consult a dietician for the same Regards.

I am 38 year old weight 110. Yesterday night during teaching to my 5 year old child a shouted a lot and after some time I felt uneasy for some time and some minor pain left side during breathing. I checked my my Blood pressure today afternoon it was 155/89 (although it was always normal in earlierdays) I doubt any heart related problem may be any signs of a heart attack, kindly guide me what to do now.

Please get an ECG and Echo done. If they are normal get your BP checked 3-5 days to see if this was an erratic increase or if you really have BP and need treatment.

First ensure that your sugar and bp are under control. Your bmi is 24 and you can do body strengthen ing exercises but before that consult your physician as you have blood pressure also as heavy exercises are not good for some patients of blood pressure.

I am 54 years old. For high bp I take eritel 40 daily one tab in the morning. For cholesterol I take rozavel 10 daily in the night after dinner. For last few months the skin under my both feet are peeling off and dryness is observed even itching feeling is there. I get relief when I apply any I have put moisturizing cream. high cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take green veg., whole grain. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

I am 25 years old from last 1 month sometimes I am getting chest pain in left side.

1. For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, depression, physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3. Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4. Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Is there is relation between Blood pressure and Pulse rate? Is high pulse rate is an indication of rising Blood pressure? Suppose my PR is 65-70 ps, if it goes to 95-90 ps, should I think that my BP has risen?

Pulse rate & blood pressure are independent. If the pulse increase, it does not mean that your blood pressure increased. Blood pressure is the pressure of blood on vessels wall & pulse is the number of times the heart beats.

You must stop medication only after consulting your treating physician. Take high protein high calories diet. Exercise also improves immunity, monitor your wt, do not neglect food or medical attention. Present weakness maybe due to akt, treatment. Be positive &follow the guidelines. God bless you.

Not just indians, but all nationalities use oil in their daily lives. Only the type varies. As far as indian cooking is concerned, any of the traditionally used oils, in moderation are ok. It depends on what region you are from, your tastes, style of cooking, availability & cost. Eg: here is kerala, we use quite a lot of coconut oil in our cooking, but to someone from north india, it wouldn't sound very appealing as they mostly use it for hair care! but avoid vanaspathi.

Hi.
