Hello I had been a patient of knee Arthritis for for 5 years I had undergone arthroscopic surgery for this and right now I don't have regular periods I am taking medicines for that also but the main issue is that I have continuous leg pain particularly in thighs back and calf muscles .I have terrible pain in all conditions and worsens when I come to rest position from moment.

Dear Lybrate User, As per your complains it seems like may be due to Osteoarthritis. Initially avoid yogurt, curt, excessive spicy & slaty foods, fast food & junk food, cold water/milk, cold drinks, avoid sprouted pulses like mung-chana etc. Don't sit directly at floor. Have hot fomentation on Joints & painful area, do small exercises of joints, Took proper sun bath, fruits & vegetables except all beans & pulses. U need ayurvedic panchkarma treatment. My father is 89 yrs old and wt 95 kgs. on 30 dec he underwent for hip replacement surgery . he is a patient of alzeimeric dementia and some times becomes very aggressive. during his hospitalisation his left buttock's apx 2*3i nch epidermal portion was eroded after fungal infection which is still not healed what should i do for its healing and his normal walk and gait

Consult a dermetologist because he is quiet old his immunity may be poor. His dementia will lead to lack of proper care for fungal infection and cleenliness so he will mneed local and systemic means oral anti fungal drugs.may be for a little longer duration. Yes Sitting more time before computer is not good. Do Pranayama meditation regularly with good exercise take good diet.

Hi, thanks for sharing your problem. Surgical removal of uterus and ovary may lead to loss of naturally occurring female sex hormones. As a result there may be hot flushes, tingling and numbness, needle like pricking sensations, mood swings, irritability etc. All routine investigations may not detect this situation and hormone assay is required for the same. If needed hrt (hormone replacement therapy) may be started for some time. If a lady like you comes to my clinic, I refer them to gynaecologist for hormone assay and initiation of hrt. You may also do the same. I wish you all the best.

Hi, of course, gout is out come of uric acid, & to get rid of gout you should follow the under noted tips: * u, should consume plenty of water which will excrete out uric acid through urine, intake of water will regulate metabolic action, too * you should take isabgol, spinach, oats, tomatoes, apples, graps, cherries, pepper to reduce uric acid *avoid pastry, cakes, cookies, fried food, * use olive oil for cooking homoeo-care: @ acid uric 30-4 drops thrice a day @ acid benzoic 30-4 drops thrice a day take care.

I am 31 male. I have lower back discomfort sometimes. Got MRI Spine, it shows very slight lumbar root nerve compression. Now mostly at night while trying to sleep, I get pulsing, twitching from knee till thighs and sometimes till chest which cause suffocation. That pulsing/twitching lasts for 5 mins and then vanishes.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi rupen der If you didn't counter any problems in 2 years since injury, may be it was partial tear or minimal one which may have healed without residual laxity of knee to give symptoms of weakened knee during movements. So nothing to fear now. No, you won't need arthroscope examination at all, ad of now, neither future need for any knee replacement. Those who had to undergo TKR may have had complete rupture of ACL with association of meniscal injuries leafing to post traumatic osteoarthritis or degeneration of knee joint heralding replacement. I am 54 year old fall in bathroom during taking bath from hip side doctor said its intertrochanteric fracture LT femur. But I can stand and able to move my left leg slowly only I feel is aching in my nerves. Please suggest. They are not showing me my x-ray reports to me.

Leg exercise kijiye daily I hope you will fit and fine……………………………………………….Basic Leg Exercises The following Basic Leg Exercises should generally be performed 1 - 3 times per week provided they do not cause or increase pain. Ideally they should not be performed on consecutive days, to allow muscle recovery. As your strength improves, the exercises can be progressed by gradually increasing the repetitions, number of sets or resistance of the leg exercises provided they do not cause or increase pain. Swiss Ball Squats Begin this leg exercise in standing with your feet shoulder width apart, your feet facing forwards and a Swiss Ball placed between a wall and your back (figure 1). Slowly perform a squat, keeping your back straight. Your knees should be in line with your middle toes and should not move forward past your toes. Then slowly return to the starting position maintaining good posture throughout the exercise. Perform 1 - 3 sets of 10 repetitions provided the exercise is pain free Lunges Begin this leg exercise standing with your back straight in the position demonstrated (figure 2). Slowly lower your body until your front knee is at a right angle. Keep your front knee in line with your middle toe and your feet facing forward. Hi!For you this may seem to be a very big problem, but actually it is not. This can be avoided by attempting the doing the things which u think are tough. At first this may seem very difficult ,but if u keep on doing it, u will feel better and get that fear out of u soon. For example, u feel less confident speaking to ppl, insteas of avoiding the situation, keep meeting people and talking anything. eventually u will feel confident. All the best!

A pain in the neck or back can restrict movements and hamper your lifestyle. These are both common pains that may or may not be a symptom of a more serious illness.   6. Kali carb: If your back feels weak and you experience sharp pains, Kali carb may be help alleviate your pain. Such pain is usually associated with a burning sensation and causes excessive sweating.
