It is clear from your description that you are suffering from knee arthritis for which intra- articular injections have also been prescribed to you earlier, and have not helped. Please tell me duration of pain and what are aggravating factors? how much distance can you walk and what is the analgesic requirement to carry out activities of daily routine? what medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Take some hot fermentation and do back strengthening exercises. Legs stretching and bhujangaasan! you also need to pay attention towards your posture while carrying the baby, as it cn cause undue pressure on back. Just start some light exercise plus posture correction, you'll feel the change. Take care.

Mr. Lybrate user, yes, that advise is good to fllow, you need to practce pranayama daily twice[morning night]. There are types of pranayamas, like anuloma, & viloma. Its better to take any yoga therapist/instructor/s help,& also, you better to do few asanas, atleast practicing suryanamaskaras daily minimum 4-5 times also will give good results. Take care. Try to take water atleast 3-4 litres. Irrespective of thirst, daily. Taking 1/2litres [or 1 litre}in morning itself is good cleanser for body.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are actually many causes of burning sensations in foot from systemic diseases like diabetes, to alcohol abuse, to any neuropathy, vitamin b12 deficiency, to just athlete's foot. I will like to ask you to get few blood tests done: esr, crp, vitamin b12, vitamin d levels and send reports across to me. Also start with physical therapy, medications like gabapentin or pregabalin in small doses, treatment of any underlying systemic disease and once we get your investigation reports, I will advise you for adequate supplementation if there is any deficiency. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

After 10 years of your original injury, now the only alternative is going for tendon transfer surgery. Out of the 3 tendons which bring foot down, one of them is transferred anteriorly. So that instead of pulling the foot down the same tendon will pull the foot upwards. The next operation is fusion of foot joints so that it cannot go down at all.
