If you are bleeding from longer time please get your haemoglobin tested first. Also get her examined by a gynecologist and do ultrasound and pap test. Heavy menses can be treated with 3 months course of medicines.

My second baby was dead born. My gynaec says that my baby died due to placenta twisted around baby's neck. But I have undergone scan before one week of death. Is it true. But I can't feel anything different. It happened starting of my ninth month.

placenta is a large substance which is atteached to wall of uterus and cannot twist around baby. It must have been the umbilical cord which unluckily strangled it. Foetal movement count check by mother timely picks up slow / no movements in last months of pregnancy, in that case usg and quick delivery/ caesarean can be done to save the baby.

Masala "Spiced" Chai + Ayurvedic Tips For Winter

Winter is a time when nature's energy withdraws back unto herself as nature's many expressions begin to slow down. According to ayurveda, a person is a miniature reflection of nature and winter represents a time for much needed restoration. Even more reason to treat yourself to the warming qualities of delicious and yummy masala spiced chai.

Ingredients:
 ginger, 1 tsp finely shredded
 cardamom, 7 whole seeds
 clove, 1/2 whole clove
 cinnamon
 milk, 1.5 cup
 sugar, 1 tsp
 orange pekoe tea, 2 tsp

winter tips
Generally, the food we eat during winter season should be warming, nourishing, and mildly spicy. Likewise, we should avoid cold food and flavors which are excessively sweet, sour, or salty as these are all considered kapha provoking and will therefore further increase congestion

what is the solution of my period pain.

MD, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda,
The period pain is due to imbalance of hormones and improper oxygen supply to reproductive system. The good news is that this is easily treatable with ayurvedic tablets. This medicine is free from side effects. This medicine increases blood supply and oxygen supply to reproductive system and restores balance of hormones thereby making periods painless. Just let me know your age, height, weight and other symptoms if any. This information is vital so as to arrive at perfect prescription.

I am having white discharge and even my periods are late I need help please help me.
Little bit of discharge sometimes is normal but if there is itching or foul smell then its due to infection. So keep clean and dry the vaginal region and avoid fried and oily foods for white discharge problem. Get ultrasound of lower abdomen and thyroid test done for irregular menses.

Hello, white discharge is not from the ovary but from the vagina and that can be due to vaginal candidiasis and may need anti fungals.

Hi Dr. I am suffering from pcod since 4 years I was taking homeopathy, aelopethic & ayurveda also I have tried all these three but not getting any effect means I want to solve my problem from root which was not saut out till today. And m having gastic problem also because I am working and due to my sitting job gastic problem has arrived. Please suggest me something.

M. sc Psychology, BHMS
Homeopath, Hyderabad
You need to take homeopathy constitutionally, that means, in homeopathy, the right remedy will be chosen by knowing everything about that particular patient. Like her/his family h/o, past h/o of illness, present c/o, any associated c/o, if +, physically, how the nature of appetite, thirst, bowels, sweat etc, & mentally also, their nature. Like irritability, depression, tolerance, suppression of any emotions, sensitivity, grief abt any loss, disappointment. Etc all should be known while choosing the rt remedy, even then also, some times, dosage should be changed according to the feedback, progress. That needs individual care, attention & time. So, if you find any near by expert, I suggest you to consult/homeopathically. For all your c/os, meanwhile, you can try m2 tone{herbal], or homeopathic. R-28 drops. Twice/day[15-20 drops in 1/4 th cup of lukewarm water} biochemic 15 tablets daily 5-5-for some time.

Even after having intercourse during the time of ovulation i couldnt concieve. What could be the reason

MBBS (Gold Medalist, Hons), MS (Obst and Gynae- Gold Medalist), DNB (Obst and Gynae), Fellow- Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (ACOG, USA), FIAOG
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
It may so happen because even you practice intercourse in the best time (around ovulation), chance of having pregnancy is only 20-25%, if all the parameters of you and your husband are normal.

Benefits of Yoga + Walking Vs Gyming

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Benefits of Yoga + Walking Vs Gyming

To keep up good health, it is absolutely necessary for one to indulge in physical exercise or activities. Physical activities, in general, are linked to a host of good benefits, such as reduced stress and a healthier and better outlook, besides increasing the body's resistance against complications like heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes and muscle pain among others problems.

Similarly, the practice of yoga is an ancient tradition well known for its health benefits. In addition, walking can further complement the practice of yoga and they can together prove to be highly advantageous, to the extent where they can be possibly regarded a better alternative to the act of gyming.

Benefits:
Here are a few benefits of gym workouts followed by the benefits of yoga plus walking:

Benefits of gym and other exercises:

  1. Keep muscles fit
  2. Enhance respiration and perspiration
  3. Helps in weight loss
  4. Relieve stress
  5. Increase appetite and food consumption

Benefits of yoga and walking:

  1. Keep you active throughout the day
  2. Help bowel movement
  3. Increase mind control over the body
  4. Improve blood circulation
  5. Relieve anxiety and keeps one stress free
  6. Can be practiced anywhere and everywhere

Differences:
Although it can be argued that gym workouts are better than yoga and vice-versa, the subject matter is highly ambiguous and debatable. Since both activities are good for your health, physically as well as mentally, it is very difficult to say which one is better; perhaps a detailed comparison of the differences between the two may be more helpful:

  1. While gymming and other exercises focus on building the body and helping you attain the desired body figure, yoga and walking aims at regulating the entire body mechanism, with more emphasis on mental control.
  2. While gym workouts may be more expensive, yoga requires minimal accessories and is therefore, more economically convenient.
  3. Yoga is suitable for people of all ages, whereas gymming and other intense physical activities are not advisable for old people or those with specific medical ailments like hypertension and heart problems.
  4. There are minimal withdrawal effects with yoga, in contrast to gym workouts.
  5. Gymming requires you to go to the gym, whereas yoga and walking can be done anywhere and everywhere.
