Mr. lybrate-user bad breathing in mouth is due to bad oral hygiene so firstly maintain your oral hygiene after that consult a dentist. For bad body odour you can try bath with Neem Ka Paani (नीम के पत्तो को पानी में उबाल कर) its due to bacterial growth in your sweat gland please use antibacterial powder like Neomycin. Good Luck.

My daughter is 16 years old. Her front teeth are disarrayed and there is an extra tooth that requires removal followed by re arrangement of the front teeth. She is anxious about the surgery for the pain it may cause. Can you please inform us of the correct age and the dynamics of the surgery?

If there is an extra tooth it should be removed soon. Usally the extra teeth apart from third molars are small in size so less painful. As for rearrangement of teeth her age is perfect for any ortho treatment. You should get it done right away. Hope it is helpful.

I am having Hairline crack on my left front tooth? It started feeling sensitive so I have had a look at it -in the mirror. I saw this hairline crack going vertical on my tooth! i'm freaking out now! it's not visible unless I shine a flashlight onto my tooth. Why do I have this? I've never had any physical trauma on my teeth that I can remember. I cant afford to see a dentist for a while - is it anything to worry about?

Blinking of eye is not related wth root canal treatment. So I think you need to general check up first if nothing comes out visit a nearby dentist.

If severe mobility is there then go for extraction and get them replaced. If the mobility is not considerable then you can go for splinting of your front teeth and try to avoid biting from front teeth.

Teeth cannot become white by brushing n all. U require teeth bleaching for bright white teeth. And after treatment avoid smoking and tea.

A healthy balanced diet is a solution to most of our health problems. A diet high in refined carbohydrates like breads, biscuits, etc. puts you at a risk of tooth decay. Avoid sticky foods such as candies, etc. which get stuck in the pits and grooves of your teeth. Sweets and chocolates are not the only ones with sugar. Beware of ‘hidden sugars’ in food which also could cause tooth decay. Increase your daily intake of fruits and vegetables. They remove plaque and food particles from between your teeth and gums.

Kindly get an x-ray done of the damaged tooth. If it can be saved then kindly get root canal treatment done followed by a crown or cap. If it can't be saved then kindly get it extracted. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

Hello lybrate-user, brushing twice daily is very good habit in prevention of future dental problems. The reason for your tooth ache and bad smell can be the same tooth. If your tooth is having cavity, it is the place for food lodgement where it get decomposed. So along with professional cleaning you have to go for filling of same tooth in which you are having cavity.

Dear , I can understand what you are feeling - but feeling this way may not help you. Now that the re rct has been done - and your gums have been treated - I would advise you to do something simple - take lukewarm saline water and rinse your mouth at least with 10 to 12 glasses a day. The inflammation in the gums will start going down in 5 to 7 days and by 2nd or 3rd week you will immensely better. Now, just in case the discomfort increases in one particular tooth or teeth or doing warm saline it would be indicative of some problem with that tooth. This would then necessitate a visit to your dentist who may require x rays to cross check the tooth from finer viewpoint. In case you have photographs of your teeth and gums - you can post over here or privately.

Hi, a poor diet can lead to gum disease and tooth decay. Foods high in carbohydrates, sugars and starches greatly contribute to the production of plaque acids that attack the tooth enamel. Eventually these acids can cause tooth enamel to break down, forming a cavity. Foods high in sugar are a particularly common cause of tooth decay. Making these foods a treat rather than a staple will help protect your teeth. To maintain a balanced diet, eat a variety of foods from each of the five major food groups. When choosing a snack, go for nutritious foods such as cheese, raw vegetables, plain yogurt or a piece of fruit. Diet: consume cheese, curd, yoghurt, green leafy vegetables, carrots, apples, almonds. Acidic foods, such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, and lemons, should be eaten as part of a larger meal to minimize the acid from them which erodes the tooth enamel. The best beverage choices include water (especially fluoridated water), milk, and unsweetened tea. Chewing sugarless gum is actually beneficial to your teeth as chewing helps dislodge food that becomes stuck to your teeth. Teeth-care: these are some basic tips for caring for teeth and gums: brush your teeth regularly. Brush at least twice a day and preferably 30-60 minutes after every meal and snack. Use a fluoride-containing toothpaste. Floss at least once a day. Use a mouth rinse daily. Visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings -- typically twice a year. Eat a variety of foods to maintain overall health. You can use homoeopathic toothpaste by sbl- homeodent.

Ever increasing temperature during summers make it very essential to be hydrated with lots of fluids taken in a frequent interval. Proper hydration not only helps general health, it also helps the oral health by maintaining right moisture in the mouth. Natural juices like tender coconut, buttermilk, lassi etc make good choices while carbonated drinks should be avoided.
