Hi, I am male 19 years old and I am having these papules on my corona from nearly 3-4 years. I have consulted doctors and they gave me keto cream and soap to apply, but it didn, t worked. I am shy to tell this problem to my parents. Need your help please.

Hi, I am male 19 years old and I am having these papules on my corona from nearly 3-4 years. I have consulted doctors...
Hello, if the papules are white/pink/yellow or transparent in colour, do not itch or trouble, it is mostly ppp which is harmless. The cream or ointment to remove them are nothing but a cream to scrape dead skin cells which might work to remove penile bumps. You need to confirm these are not genetal warts. If they were, your doctor would have told you. Ppp is not contagious and you do not need to worry about it. If you want a proper medication, you can send a picture via online consultancy. Thank you.

Is it fine to put coconut oil mixed with olive oil on the body daily after having a bath?
Absolutely fine. It will make your skin softer, and give you a healthy glowing skin. But if you have a oily skin, then avoid applying the oil to your face as it may cause pimples and black heads, use a water based moisturizer instead.

For a good and glowing skin, take a proper sleep, plenty of water. Do not step out in the sun, without wearing a sunscreen. Wear a broad rimmed hat or cover your face with a stole whenever you step out in the sun. Apply a broad spectrum, non-comedogenic sunscreen 3 times in the daytime. What Makes Your Skin Prone To Acne? Top 5 Reasons Revealed!

What Makes Your Skin Prone To Acne? Top 5 Reasons Revealed!

Among one of the most common skin conditions that affect many people all over the world is Acne. It is not a harmful or a dangerous condition, but is usually a cosmetic problem and may also sometimes be a symptom of underlying conditions.

What is acne and what are its causes?

Human skin has follicles or pores in them through which hair comes out. The accumulation of a substance known as sebum within the pores of the human skin can sometimes clog these pores. When this accumulates, dead skin cells also get stuck in it and results in a swelling, which takes the form of a pimple like a crest due to bacterial infections. This condition is most prevalent among adolescents due to rapid hormonal changes in the body, although many adults and pre-adolescents have also reported this problem. Here are some common issues and lifestyle factors which make you prone to acne.

1. Hormonal imbalances – This is probably the most common reason cited for acne as adolescents tend to be afflicted by this problem. In many cases acne goes away on its own after sometimes although in other cases it does stay. In adults, especially women it has been noticed that certain hormonal changes in the body may act as acne triggers. Some of the examples of hormonal imbalances may be:

  • PMS or period related triggers in adults and adolescent women
  • High testosterone levels in women
  • Excessive androgen in men and women
  • Hormonal problems due to polycystic ovary syndrome and others
  • Taking medicines or steroids that may cause hormonal changes

2. External factors such as using too much makeup – Excessive use of cosmetic products can cause issues within the skin by blocking the pores within the skin may induce acne, even if you  do not have sebum related problems.

3. Diet Research has proved that excessive oil consumption as well as having foods rich in fat can cause acne problems. Moreover, if you consume iodine in large quantities or for a long time, it results in irritation of the skin pores giving rise to acne.

4. Certain medications and drugs - Consumption of specific over the counter medicines like the ones containing bromide and use of recreational drugs like marijuana and cocaine can lead to the occurrence of acne as side effects.

5. Genetics - Certain genetic factors may also be responsible for someone being more prone to acne than others.

I sincerely hope that you found this information and the underlying advice from me useful. If you did, do share it with your loved ones and others. You can also consult privately with me if you believe I can help you with your Acne or other skin related conditions.

Wishing you loads of good health and happiness.

TRY BANANA MASK: A brilliant option for dry skin. Banana mask nourished and moisturizes the skin, giving it more elasticity, and removing small wrinkles. Similarly, it also removes any oily gloss, whitens and improves skin color. To prepare banana mask, make a pulp of one ripe banana and apply it on skin for 15-20 minutes.

Cheek & Chin Enhancement - All You Need To Know About It!

Cheek & Chin Enhancement - All You Need To Know About It!

It is often seen that the people are unhappy with the appearance of their chin and cheek. Some of them may feel that their cheekbones are too less projected or that their cheek are too flat. Well, if you are one of them and want to enhance your appearance, it can easily be done by chin and cheek enhancement surgery. This is a cosmetic procedure and utilizes a specially manufactured material which is compatible with the tissues for augmentation of your face's physical structure. Chin and cheek enhancement gives your face a better balance and harmony to your facial features.

Chin Implants: Chin implants help in enhancing the size and projection of your chin and make it proportionate to your forehead and mid face. A recessed chin seems like it has disappeared into your neck instead of appearing as a distinct facial feature.

Cheek Implants: Cheek implants help in increasing the projection of your cheekbones. They also add volume to areas of your face, which are recessed and flat.

Procedure: Before undergoing the surgery, a proper implant of the correct shape and size must be chosen according to your requirement. The implants are made of a soft, flexible and rubbery material, which gets inserted via an incision. Solid silicon is commonly used for cheek or chin implants. General anesthesia along with a sedative is used during the surgery on the patient.

A cheek implant requires 30 to 45 minutes to be carried out. It is performed in conjunction with other procedures like a facelift or a forehead lift, and the implants are incised through an incision. Sometimes the implant is inserted through an incision on the upper lip or the lower eyelid. For a chin implant, the procedure takes about an hour. The implant gets inserted through a pocket made in front of the jaw bone. For creating the pocket, an incision is made inside the mouth in the lower lip or under the chin.

After the surgery is complete, the affected areas are taped in order to decrease swelling. The sutures in the skin are removed within five to seven days. In case the sutures were made intra orally, they dissolve slowly. You need to make certain dietary changes and lifestyle modifications after the surgery. Some discomfort and swelling are likely immediately after the surgery.

Cheek and chin enhancement offer effective improvements to your facial appearance. It results in plump and youthful cheeks with an enhanced volume. The implants are considered to be quite safe. If you feel you require a chin or cheek enhancement, you should consult a doctor before taking this decision and then only choose the accurate implant. It is also important to consult a doctor several times after undergoing the surgery.

Freckles: Causes and Management

MBBS, Diploma In Dermatology And Venerology And Leprosy (DDVL), DNB (Dermatology), MNAMS
Dermatologist, Delhi
Freckles: Causes and Management

Skin complexion varies and is caused by the skin pigmentation known as ‘melanin’, produced by cells called melanocytes, which gives skin the colour. The more amount of melanin, the darker the complexion. Melanin has a protective effect against sun exposure, as it reduces damage caused by the sun on the skin. It is proven that people with a darker complexion (with more melanin) are less prone to damage from sun exposure.

What are they? Freckles are cells that contain more amount of melanin compared to the surrounding areas. It is a common sight where some people have small, tiny black/brown spots on their faces. These spots may also be present on the hands, elbows, neck, back, etc., but are most obvious in the face. These are known as freckles.

Causes: Freckles are very common, and they are triggered by exposure to sunlight. The melanocytes absorb the sun and produce more melanin, thereby causing freckles. They are a natural reaction of the skin to the sun.

  • It runs in families, and children are likely to have freckles if the parents had them.

  • It also depends on complexion – fair people are more prone to have freckles than dark people.

  • Tanning, whether done by the sun or in a salon, also increases the chances of having freckles.

  • In some people, the freckles appear in the summer and disappear in the winter.

  • While some precancerous lesions may start off as tiny brown spots and be mistaken for freckles, freckles per se are not cancerous.

Management: While there are stories that freckles are angel kisses, they are not true. Freckles do not bring any good luck charm and can be prevented and avoided to improve overall skin and esthetic appeal.

Prevention is the first option, and if you are genetically disposed to have freckles, it is best to take measures that can reduce freckles. Avoiding or reducing sun exposure and using good sun protection can help in reducing the number of freckles and the darkness of the freckles.

Freckles can be treated by one of the following:

  1. Topical Creams- Though widely used, these contain bleaching agents which act on the entire skin and not just the freckles. Retin-A is one of the widely used products.

  2. Laser- Considered the best method for freckle removal, a beam of the laser is used to get rid of the unwanted melanocytes which produce melanin. This not only reduces freckles, it also improves skin tone and colour.

  3. Cryotherapy- Liquid nitrogen is used to freeze the melanin-producing cells, thereby removing freckles.

If you have freckles, try these measures for getting rid of them. Once that is done, preventing freckle formation with limiting sun exposure and sun protection is extremely essential. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

Drinking soda is not going to provide you permanent relief. Instead make some changes in your daily routine. Eat plenty of raw foods or salads. Eat your dinner 3 hours prior to sleep. Chew your food properly. Eat slowly. Avoid curds, fermented foods, bakery products. Start practising yoga daily. One of the best is vajrasan which has to b done after meals for 5-10 minutes. All this will help you a lot.

Firstly, stop stressing over you face and try a few simple measures to get your young face back. Sometimes less is more. I would start a basic skin care program where you use a moidturizer with sunscreen every morning and use a retinoid at bed time. If you can add a vitamin C that would be a bonus. Make sure to get enough sleep and drink enough water as these things might not change your skin in the long run but dehydration and exhaustion can certaunly show in your face.

I have black spots and wound marks on my face please tell me some better treatment or any cream name to remove these ...
Homoeopathic cream ANTIMARKS CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply twice daily in circular fashion Dark spots are primarily caused by acne, blemishes and black heads. The percentage of dark spots increases as the exposure to the sun increases too. Since the rate of melanin would be decreases, it leads in turn to the darkening of the skin. So, apply sunscreen (Homoeopathic SUNCARE cream of BAKSON Company) , every time you go out and follow the recipes below in order to get relief from dark spots. Instead of using the chemical products for your skin, try using some natural home remedies. Using home remedies can work out to be much cheaper than chemical based products and they can help treat your condition without any side effects. Caring for your skin is highly important. Here are some home remedies that allow your skin to be free of dark spots, black spots or pimple marks or even acne scars on the face. 1.Take a medium sized tomato and squeeze the juice from it, add one tablespoon of lemon juice to the tomato juice and stir the mixture well. Apply on the face and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse the face with warm water. 2.Take pulp from Aloe Vera leaves and let it dry in the sun for 5 minutes and then add few drops of lemon juice to the dried pulp. Apply this mixture on the face and wash it off after 15 minutes. The results are quite good. 3.Onions have anti-microbial properties and they help remove the acne related scars and spots. Take an onion and cut it into several pieces, grind them and then, separate the juice from the beaten onions. Apply this mixture on the affected areas; allow the mixture to remain on the skin for a few minutes and rinse off with water.
