How to reduce belly fat and extra fat from body am not getting any time for exercise. Please suggest.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise whenever you get time. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. There is no short cut. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure this suggestion will at least help you with initial fat loss.

For your height 67 kg is normal weight and you must not allow any gain in the weight. In view of diabetes you must keep your diet low on sugars (carbohydrates) & fats and enough proteins. Keep exercising like walking. Strenuous exercises may burn calories but if you are on anti diabetic drugs, severe exercise for 1 and half hour may precipitate hypoglycaemia at times, so it is better to have regular brisk walking for 4 to 5 kilometers in about an hour. Have small frequent meals in place of 2 large meals at lunch and dinner. Eat lot of salads and one fruit of your choice, avoiding grapes, mangoes, sugarcane juice etc.

Hey I have scars on my body can you recommend a cream which will help me get rid of it?
Hello, Apply Homoeopathic ? Use Thiosinaminum Q few drops mixed in a glycerin solution on scars that are visible (as it is less greasy, so is more easily absorbed into the skin. Also take Thiosinaminum 200 orally once a week for 2 weeks, to dissolve large, extensive scars. The oral dose supports the action of the topical application.

How to make stomach healthy by ayurvedic medicine and gain weight I am a hard gainer?

How to make stomach healthy by ayurvedic medicine and gain weight I am a hard gainer?
Whole grains include brown rice, oats, cereals, wheat, etc., which are the powerhouses of diverse nutrients. Oats, plain or brown rice are good sources of complex carbohydrates and help build your muscles. On the other hand, cereals are a high calorie food. They must be consumed as morning meal. • Brown rice can be a filling food because of its fiber, carbohydrates and protein content. If you are planning for a healthy weight gain, then combine rice with some other nutrient and calorie-dense foods. Instead of water, cook them in broth or milk. You may also add butter or cheese over the top. Starchy vegetables and dried fruits can be mixed.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. 7 Ways to Awaken Your Consciousness

MBBS, M.D Psychiatry , Diploma in Psychological Medicine
Psychiatrist, Navi Mumbai
7 Ways to Awaken Your Consciousness

Keeping in touch with your consciousness can be a brilliant thing to do. One should know thy self before anyone else in the world. Consciousness qualifies as self awareness. It gives you clarity about what you want, who you really are and who you really want to be.

How to keep in touch with your consciousness?

  1. Walk out into the woods: Go on a nature hike. Take your dog and go for a run into the woods. Listen to your favourite music and do not forget to stop and breathe in the scenic beauty. It is bound to make you introspect.
  2. Go on a solo trip: Take a leave from work, get packing and head out to that trip to the Himalayas that you have been planning on for ages. Take your closest friends along if you would like to. And, if you are going on your own, do not forget to inform your friends or family about it.
  3. Meditate: Even if you have never tried to do it before, it is never late to start. Even if you are in the beginners’ level, it helps you attain inner peace and tranquillity. It is probably one of the best ways to get in touch with your inner self and harness energy from within. It will give you greater focus, more transparency and you will attain discipline in life.
  4. Befriend with like-minded people: When you are on a journey to become a person with great self awareness and a more conscious person, you are the most benefitted when you find people who share your belief and you can be your true self with them. This will make you true to yourself and the people around you. This is a sign of rising self consciousness.
  5. Pursue higher intelligence:  Every single person is intelligent in their own way. A person may be blessed with high I.Q., whereas other people can be emotionally or spiritually intelligent. While chasing consciousness, learn to grow as a person. Make yourself familiar to new things, different people and you will realise how vast is the world and the immense amount of things you are yet to take from her.
  6. Taking control of your decisions: Never let another person dictate terms to you. The moment you let another person make your decisions, you lose yourself a little bit. Taking conscious control over your decisions will immediately create a sense of understanding of your own self and you will attain more consciousness in the process.
  7. Let the skies speak to you: Go camping will your closest, true friends and star gaze with them. Lying down on the grass and watching millions of stars look right back you can be an overwhelming experience. You will truly learn and understand how vast this universe is and let it seep into you. You will feel more in touch with yourself than ever before. The path to self consciousness will get even more clear in your head. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a psychiatrist.

I am facing the problem of pimples on my face please give me some suggestion how to reduce pimples.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

I am facing the problem of pimples on my face please give me some suggestion how to reduce pimples.
Dear lybrate user, *ice soothes the skin, particularly the affected area which can help your skin to become pimple-free. Applying ice on the skin will remove the oil and dirt trapped inside and reduces the redness and swelling. To get rid of an eruption, put an ice cube in a cloth and gently press it against the affected skin. Or one can also make it a routine to apply crushed ice or ice cubes to the skin in order to avoid pimples. *honey masks are quite a common acne treatment. Applying honey on the face works both as a preventive method and as a treatment for pimples. It is a natural antiseptic that soothes and heals the skin. The antioxidants present in honey can help in reducing the inflammation over the skin and making it pimple free. Apply some honey on your face for 15-30 minutes and then wash it off. Not only will it work against your acne problem but it also makes the skin smooth and supple. *avoid maida, dry, junk foods, consume more fluids, fresh fruit juice.

Mix equal quantities of ginger juice, pomegranate juice and honey. Consume one tablespoon of this mixture two or three times a day. Alternatively, you can mix one teaspoon of ground ginger in one and a half cups of water and take one tablespoon of this mixture at bedtime. Cut one inch of ginger into small pieces and add it to a pot of boiling water. Let it steep for five minutes, allow it to cool down and then drink it. You can also eat little raw ginger mixed with salt.

Home remedies only help to an extent. And creams work from the outside in and only give you a temporal effect. What you need is something that gets to the roots of acne. I need to examine your situation before i suggest you any medication/treatment. Better consult
