Hi Magnesh. Your wife can have progesterone only pills, DMPA injection or a copper T in womb. All will be helpful. However avoid combined contraceptive pills till she is beast feeding.

If you don't want to keep the pregnancy, then you can go for medical abortion after consulting doctors. But don't take drugs directly from medicine shops as they may be harmful.

Hello, You should wait for your wife's next periods to come. If they do not come then do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If the result is positive, she is pregnant so visit a gynecologist for further evaluation.

Thanks for the query. When one is on adequate dose of levothyroxine, then TSH is usually around 3 to 4 mU/L. At that level all the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. Since your TSH level is 6.48 mU/L, it is clear that present dose is not adequate and hence menstrual irregularity is seen. It is essential to maintain TSH < 4 mU/L. Then only you will be healthy. Thanks.

If she misses her period for more than 7 days, go for urine pregnancy test first. There is a slim chance of pregnancy, particularly if the condom was not used throughout or it was damaged.

If you are having swelling take a salt restricted diet ,consult a doctor and get your BP measured ,get your haemoglobin and serum protein levels done and your urine routine and microscopic examination done. Commonest cause of swelling is high BP. Anaemia or protein deficiency. On the basis of your reports you will have to be treated accordingly.
