I am 17 year old female. There' s an increase in my body weight from past 2 years and I am irregular periods from the past 2 years. Doctors told me to take a series of tests and found out that j have polycystic ovary syndrome. They advised me to reduce weight to have regular periods but i' m unable to reduce weight. Please help me to get cured from pcos and also to reduce weigh

Weight reduction is first step in pcod, then regulate the menses and treat the other symptoms of pcos, proper investigations must. Ayurveda gives better result in such cases. Sometimes combine treatment also fruitful.

Hi, there is sometimes slight variation in the flow and amount of flow, don't worry. But if this is happening for long time then do get blood tested for cbc, esr, hb% and an ultrasound (pelvis) done to rule out pcod. Medication: take homoeopathic medicines - alfaalfa tonic and five phos. - both thrice daily, and let me know about your condition after a month. Management: daily intake more of healthy, nutritious and balanced food which includes green vegetables, seasonal fruits, salads, legumes, pulses, eggs, milk & milk products, oats, cornflakes, muesli, nuts, lean meat (chicken & few seafood), etc. Keep yourself well-hydrated by taking at least 10-12 glasses of water in a day, also increase intake of other fluids like coconut water, shikanji, jaljeera, gulkand, rooh-afza, lassi, curd, etc. Which has got cooling effect on the body during this hot summer weather. Sleep for 6-9 hrs at night and 1-2 hrs. During daytime. Avoid going out or playing under the sun, best time is after sunset. Wear a hat with broad brim, wear sunglasses whenever you are out in the sun. Don't awake late nights, follow motto of'early to bed, early to rise' avoid unnecessary exertion or stress. Revert.

Unwanted 72 usually leads to that kind of bleeding. But if bleeding is not proper pls go for a pregnancy test if she misses her regular date.

Dear lybrate-user First of all good luck for your conceptional concerns. Few points for you 1. Keep taking all medicines as prescribed and as per dosage. 2. Discuss with your gynaecologist about the side effects you are facing right now i.e. Constipation 3. Once you confirm your pregnancy either with urine pregnancy test or ultrasound MUST GO TO YOUR GYNAECOLOGIST for change of BP MEDICINE 4. It is STRICTLY advisable that your Thyroid functions and BP must be within normal range. 5. Medicines which need to be changed during pregnancy is B P medicine. Thyroid medicine will be continued, though the dosage might be changed. Rest of the medicines can be continued if required. Hope this helps you.

Hi, Am traveling on a trip to Bali for 10 days! We booked our tickets four months back but I am pregnant by 8 weeks. I just wanted to make sure is it safe to travel on flight before 12 weeks of pregnancy! because miscarriages happen at the first trimester! Kindly answer me! the traveling dates is on 13th of December?

Hi, Am traveling on a trip to Bali for 10 days! We booked our tickets four months back but I am pregnant by 8 weeks. ...
Air travel is very safe during pregnancy. There is no radiation risk, the X-ray machines are actually glorified metal detectors and are very safe to walk through (as are the full body scanners) and all cabins are pressurized. The first trimester is a great time to travel, except that morning sickness and fatigue often kick in around 7 to 8 weeks, so be prepared. You may feel great when you book your trip, but terrible by the time you leave. Ask your practitioner for tips to help with nausea, as ask for safe anti-nausea medication to take with you. Below are a few travel tips to pregnant women on the go: 1. Book an Aisle Seat - It's easier access for your hourly walks and trips to the restroom. 2. Prevent Air Sickness - If you are still in the morning sickness phase of pregnancy, air travel may make things worse. Ask your practitioner for an anti-nausea medication to take with you. 3. Wear Pantyhose - Some practitioners recommend that you wear support stockings to increase circulation and prevent a blood clot from developing in your leg. 4. Take a Walk - Avoid being immobilized for long periods of time. 5. Drink Water - You'll feel better by being well hydrated. It also helps prevent those blood clots. Take an empty water bottle with you in carry-on luggage and fill it up after you get through security. 6. Go Gas Free - Don't drink or eat any gas-producing items (carbonated beverages, refried beans, etc.) before or during your flight.
