I am suffering from right knee pain and was diagnosed by doctor as complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament with edema in the lateral tibial condyle and the patella. No collateral or medical injury evident on the study as per MRI report. What is the remedy. Please suggest me.

Im a student. Now a days my exams are near about to be held. And I want to study whole night. I tried a lot but my eyes get start shuttering for sleep. Please tell me how to feel sleep free or what can I do so that sleep doest come any more during nights. And I can study as well.

•Drink lots of water. At night, as you study, keep water at hand and sip it regularly. •Avoid tea and coffee. Yes caffeine will wake you up and give you a buzz right away. But once the effect wears off; you will feel even more tired and sleepy than you were before. This happens because these drinks dehydrate you. •Have a balanced diet: Eat a heavy and healthy breakfast but have a light dinner. If you feel hungry at night, eat fruits, dry fruits, and salads only. Avoid junk food. •Take a 20-30 minute nap during the day. This shall help you to concentrate better. •As you study, whenever you feel tired or sleepy or even stressed, take a minute to practice yoga- breathing exercises. Concentrating on your breath can help bring more oxygen to the brain which will in turn wake the body up and help clear your mind to study better. All the best!:)

I have not been able to sleep properly and also there is headache, I have also tried many remedies so can you help me?

For headache take tablet paracetamol 650 mg eight hourly and tip- I will suggest you to take a shower with warm water or just wash your face, forearms, legs with soap and water at bedtime for a peaceful sleep.

I am 32 year old my problems is that I am not sleep properly bcoz when I sleeping than come sum jhatka and distracted my sleep.

Zfor having proper sleep you have to make the environment sleeping inducing like do not hit the bed immediately after food. Switch off the lights, electronic gadgets like tv, computer etc make the room dark, noise free. Have plenty of water by mouth at least one hour after food. Go for regular morning walk followed by free hand exercises. It will improve.

I am 18 year old boy, when I throw ball my shoulder gives a pain like it's broken, and normally when I move my shoulders it's gives a sound. Its started 6months ago. Help me to come out of this. Thank you.

It's because of torn biceps tendon. Also called as slap lesion or superior labrum tear. You will need treatment from shoulder specialist. I don't know if you have any shoulder specialist in patna. Most probably you need surgery if you want to continue throwing and sporting activities.

I am suffering from back pain neck to legs since 2 month and now. What should I do? please advise.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I have pain in my shoulder sometimes it start from the right side breast to should than in arm to thumb is it aa a problem or not.

No 1: Rotator Cuff Isometrics Most of these shoulders have quite high pain levels for the first few weeks and we know that isometrics are great for reducing pain (source) and they do produce some significant forces and tension in the cuff, so can be thought of beginning the needed loading program. There are lots of variations and I don't think it matters too much how you do them, it's more important how hard and how much you do them, more on this in a bit. The isometric exercises I usually give are a'Back of the hand Wall Press' used when I suspect a more superior cuff tendinopathy, it's done simply by standing next to a wall and pressing the back of the hand into the wall in the scapular plane (called Scaption) at approx 30° of abduction.

Tips To Ensure Regular Sleep For Your Baby

When it comes to babies and their sleeping habits, you have to understand that every baby is different and has different needs. Thus, certain things that may work for one set of parents may not necessarily work for the other. Thus, here are a few tips that will ensure that your child gets ample of undisturbed sleep and stays healthy and fit: 

1. Learn to distinguish when your baby starts feeling tired: Once your child starts feeling tired, he/she will definitely show specific signs that he/she requires some sleep. Some common signs  are:
a) The constant eye rubbing 
b) Yawning
c)  Getting a bit fussy and cranky 

Put your baby to sleep as soon as possible when he/she starts showing such signs. If your baby gets overtired, it will be all the more difficult for him to fall asleep. 

2. Set a proper sleep cycle: Ensure that you set a suitable sleep cycle for your baby. Train your child to sleep during the night and play during the day. Ensure that you keep your kid busy during the day, ensuring that he/she stays awake even after a feed, so that he is tired by night time and sleeps properly all throughout the night. At night, when your child gets up for a feed, ensure that you do not turn on the lights. Instead, make sure to keep the room in semi-darkness so he/she goes back to sleep effectively. 

3. Ensure that your baby is full: If your baby is hungry and has not had his fill, it will tend to disrupt his sleep. Thus, ensure that your baby is well fed before you put him to sleep. For example, if during the day you feed the child after every three hours, as evening approaches feed him every two hours. This will ensure that he is well fed before he goes to sleep.

4. Let go the burping occasionally: Babies do not avidly breastfeed at night. Thus, it is not essential that you wait for him to burp every time he feeds.  

5. Give a Massage: Another way to ensure that your baby sleeps properly is to give him a good massage. A massage will help the child to relax and thus sleep better.

At your age, this is an indication that there may be more than less-sleep as a factor. I suggest you meet with a counselor and examine your childhood developmental milestones to see if there was any problem there. Feelings without reason suggest that there is a deep-rooted issue. It is most likely fear related. If you deal with it now, the prognosis will be good.

I am 54 years male. Since 5 days back I have sleeping disorder problem. Only 3-4 hours sleeping is possible. 1st day - wedding ceremony at night upto 11 o'clock. Pm. 2 day - I have nose blockage due to flue. 3 day - again I have nose blockage due temp. 4 day- no sleep with good heath. 5 day - only 4 hour sleep. Again. Please suggest me the proper solution. Foot exercises. Do the following exercises barefoot: •1. First write digits 1 to 10 using your toes raised up in the air. •2. Sit on a chair, raise your toes and curl them •3. Pick up a small piece of cloth off the floor using your toes. •4. Still in a sitting position, point your toes and circle your ankles in a slow counter and clockwise motion. •5. Stand up from the sitting position and go on tip toe for 5 seconds.
