Hello doctor, Iam 24 years old male. A doctor friend of mine advised me to have vit B complex tabs for 1 to 2 weeks, 1 tab a day. He advised that vit B complex is very necessary for diabetes and development of blood platelets in the body and that this vit is not harnessed in the body and its btr to these tabs generally after meals 1 tab a day. So I hv brought BEPLEX FORTE tabs which is of 260mcg. But I wanted to clarify from another doctor if its okay to have these and also about the dosage and also if these are okay for my mom she si 52 years old than in advance.

Mr Mradul, There is no need for taking B complex tablets regularly for a diabetes patient, unless there is deficiency of vitamins. Plus I am not aware if B complex vitamins are required for development of platelets. Most often our balanced diet gives enough vitamins and minerals. If you still want to take it, you go ahead.

I am 28 years old, I had sinus problem for that I am taking medicines. But apart of that I am having snoring problem a lot of sound is coming from my throat during sleeping time. Please help me how I can minimized that.

Snoring occurs due to 1. Obstruction of flow of air through mouth and nose as in obesity, nasal obstruction due to polyp, dns, sinusitis, 2. Alcohol, use of sleeping pill 3. Smoking, consumption of tobacco. 4. Consult ent specialist to exclude nasal causes of snoring 5. Reduce your weight if overweight.

Hello physiotherapy is the best treatment for this condition. There are many reasons for this type of pain- 1. Overuse of muscles, 2. Deficiency of vitamin d3 or calcium, or lack of water in the body, 3. Postural stress, 4. Muscle strain, etc. Please send me all investigation reports if available. I can help you by providing correct ergonomic and physiotherapeutic tips. Till then you can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. You have to persist with a low carbohydrate and low fat high protein diet. Stop all cereals, sugar, bakery products and desserts. Take the white of 4 boiled eggs and lots of fruits and green vegetables and salads. Go for an hour long walk every day. If you don't loose weight soon you will develop diabetes and high BP. For a good and glowing skin, take a proper sleep, lot of water, green vegetables and fresh fruits. Avoid sunrays without wearing a sunscreen. Wear a broad hat or cover your face whenever you step out in the sun. Apply good quality broad spectrum sunscreen.

I m very fat. I have to lose weight. What should I do. And what diet you suggest me.
-Eat breakfast. It might seem counterproductive to eat if you're trying to lose weight, but studies show that eating breakfast within an hour of waking up keeps your insulin levels steadier and your LDL cholesterol levels lower -Take atleast 7hrs of sound sleep: Research indicates that the secretion of cortisol (a hormone your body produces during times of stress) is correlated with an increase in belly fat. -Aim to take 10, 000 steps a day. In one study where men reduced their daily steps from about 10, 000 to less than 1, 500 (without changing their diet), their visceral (belly) fat increased by 7% after just 2 weeks -Switch out refined grains for whole grains. In a scientific study, people who ate all whole grains (in addition to five servings of fruits and vegetables, three servings of low-fat dairy, and two servings of lean meat, fish, or poultry) lost more belly fat than another group that ate the same diet, but with all refined grains -Drink plenty of water. Studies suggest that consistently drinking water throughout the day can lead to a more active metabolism, regardless of dieting -Eat good fats. Studies suggest that a diet with a higher ratio of monounsaturated fats like avocados, nuts, seeds, soybeans, and chocolate — can prevent the accumulation of belly fat -Avoid Trans fats (in margarines, crackers, cookies, or anything made with partially hydrogenated oils) seem to result in more fat being deposited in the abdomen. -Eat more of Soluble fiber (such as that found in apples, oats, and cherries) lowers insulin levels which can speed up the burning of visceral belly fat. -Eat healthy foods. Drink plenty of water and start exercising to get amazing results.

From the past few years I am suffering with some or other health problem every now and then. Even though I have been suffering with very minor health issues like allergy on lips, fever, rashes, indigestion, constipation, cold, ear pain, acne, hair fall, mouth ulcers, etc. These problems usually resolve properly within few days of medication. But I want to want can be the reason for my low immunity. What are the foods which can increase my immunity and what other measures can I take. What can be the reasons for my constant falling sick. I have done thyroid profile, blood tests, x ray and all reports are normal.

Allergy is partly genetic and partly environmental. Thus it never goes away. With better ,less dusty environment ,avoidance of Allergy causing products, the extent if the problem gets reduced. Medicines help to downregulate the immune response of your body to these environmental allergens. Long term lifestyle  changes with gradually tapering medication  helps to tackle problems. Probiotics nowadays are said to be helpful for allergies as well as digestive issues. Start having plenty of fruits and vegetables  in your diet. 50 gram of proteins  (atleast) :no soya beans A course of vitamin B complex and C for 1 month. Add a probiotic supplement to your regular meals. Have sleep for atleast 7 to 8 hours. Exercise atleast for 30 minutes  every day. Good morning, rough and hard hair may occur if you keep changing your shampoos and hair oils frequently, or if you are using some hair chemicals or colours or if you are working in dusty polluted environment. Kindly avoid these. Use coconut oil to gently massage your scalp hair around half an hour before washing. Use foliglo shampoo followed by foliglo conditioner for a month then tell the difference. Thanks.
